Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 77: The Paragon
Kaiser returned home after his time in the rift. He had barely slept for several months, and his clothes were covered in dust. He had used a lot of energy, and his body needed rest. After three days on the road, the family home stood in the middle of a vast estate.
"We salute the return of the young Lord Paragon!" the guards said, performing military salutes.
Kaiser simply nodded and passed through the gate, immediately sensing a familiar smell. It had been almost two and a half years since he last returned.
He climbed the stairs slowly and went straight to the bathroom. He turned on the hot water and let the bathtub fill. He removed his clothes one by one, then stepped into the foaming bath. He felt the heat envelop his muscles. His body had been tense for months, and the contact with the water gave him an immediate sense of relief. He stayed still for a moment, leaning against the edge, and at that instant he couldn’t help thinking about Ruby.
"If I didn’t have this skill, I might be depressed."
Not only did Ruby provide powerful emotional support for Kaiser, but they were also very close intimately.
"I never thought she would try to kill me. An antagonist is an antagonist. On this one, I made a mistake, and Ruby paid the heavy price to save me. I have to avenge her no matter what."
After a good twenty minutes, he rinsed off, dressed cleanly, and went downstairs to join his father for dinner.
Addams was already seated at the table. He had aged. His hair was graying, and his serious expression hadn’t changed. When he saw Kaiser enter the room, he stayed silent for a second. His eyes filled with an emotion he usually hid very well.
"You’re finally back."
"Yes, Father. It’s been tough these last few years, but I came back in one piece."
Kaiser sat across from him. He took a bite of the hot meal that had just been served. The spicy taste reminded him of his past years.
Addams struggled to hide his turmoil. Isaak’s death had left a hole in his heart, and Kaiser was all he had left.
The count broke the silence.
"Where have you been all this time? Two and a half years without a word. I thought I’d lost you like Isaak. You hadn’t said that famous matter would take all this time."
Kaiser calmly set down his fork.
"It’s a long story, Father. But to make it short, I was attacked by bandits, which caused me to fall into a portal. There I met an old warrior who was a bit senile but above all overwhelmingly powerful. And he trained me day and night."
"And now you’re stronger."
Kaiser answered without hesitation.
"Strong enough to humiliate Kris Donoghan."
Addams’s eyes widened. He knew the Donoghans owned an Art. He hadn’t expected such a confident statement.
’So he must be at least a C+ rank warrior?’
"What level exactly? Tell me clearly," he finally asked curiously.
Kaiser gave a mocking smile.
"Strong enough not to lose against an heir of a legendary family."
Addams exhaled softly, torn between worry and pride.
"You seem confident. That’s good. You’ll be able to avenge your older brother..."
"Don’t worry, Father. I fully intend to make them all pay."
...
After the meal, they decided to head to the military barracks. The Paragon domain had completely changed. Where there used to be only about a hundred soldiers training with two instructors, there now stood a well-organized structure. There were B-rank warriors training in formation, fourth-circle mages testing their spells under the watch of strict instructors.
"You’ve made a lot of progress," Kaiser said, observing the facilities.
"We’ve had investments, especially with the projects you carried out last time. Recruiting powerful people has become increasingly fruitful," Addams replied.
They continued their visit. As they approached the outdoor training area, Kaiser recognized a woman performing precise hand movements. A circular gust formed around her. Her hair rippled slightly in the wind.
It was Adriana, the third-circle wind mage he had faced before.
She noticed him immediately and approached without hesitation.
"You’re back?"
"Well, as you can see. I’m here in the flesh."
She looked him up and down.
"You’ve grown a lot... Anyway, last time our fight wasn’t finished."
Kaiser positioned himself facing her, a slight mocking smile on his lips.
"Not even a hello? So you want a fight now?"
"Obviously."
Addams stepped back to watch. The surrounding soldiers stopped their training, curious to see the confrontation.
Kaiser simply entered the combat area. He had no weapon. He tied his jacket around his waist and rolled his shoulders lightly.
"You can start, young lady."
Adriana raised her hand.
<Elemental Magic: Cutting Wind>
A blade of air formed and rushed toward Kaiser. He didn’t move. His eyes stayed fixed on her, without the slightest tension.
The moment the blade arrived, his aura concentrated around his right shoulder. A sudden pressure pushed the air around him.
<Aura Repulsion>
The attack dispersed as if it had hit an invisible wall.
Besides the Sundering Eclipse Art, of which he had mastered three out of five movements, Sulyvhan had taught him three aura techniques from his era.
One of them was Aura Repulsion. He used it to violently push back anything nearby. It was notably one of the methods he employed to leap into the air, by exerting a quick push on the ground or air beneath his feet. This same repulsion could also serve as an instant defensive shield.
Adriana immediately followed with a second spell.
<Air Jet>
A wind impulse surged from the ground to try to throw him backward. Kaiser took a step to the side, simple and fluid. His movement was natural, as if he were casually walking.
His gaze locked on Adriana. Aura flowing into his brain. He saw her micro-movements, her breaths, the contractions of her fingers. Boosting his perception and reaction speed, he even understood the direction of her attacks before she executed them.
<Eye of Perception>
Easily dodging Adriana’s multiple <Air Jets>.
Adriana leaped backward.
"He’s different..." she murmured.
Kaiser advanced calmly. With each step, he gave the impression of closing the distance without effort.
She cast her third spell.
<Minor Cyclone>
A whirlwind formed around her. The wind was strong enough to hinder enemy movements.
Kaiser bent his knees slightly.
<Aura Repulsion>
This time he used it under his feet. The push was brief but powerful. He propelled himself upward and landed right behind Adriana before she even understood how he had broken through the cyclone.
She tried to turn to face him.
Kaiser pivoted and threw a spinning kick. But with his hands in his pockets, he wasn’t serious at all. She barely had time to back away.
Before she could understand what was happening, something pulled her violently forward. Her face slammed into the sole of Kaiser’s foot, which had remained perfectly still.
<Aura Attraction>
Adriana collapsed to the ground, her nose slightly bleeding. "Ah, shit! That hurts! You’re really an idiot!"
Kaiser crouched and offered his hand, a mocking smile on his lips.
"And you just lost in the most humiliating way~. I’ve never seen someone rush to lick someone else’s sole before. Hahaha!"
"Ah! Shut up!"
"You didn’t need a sword or brute force. Just your speed and a weird use of aura..."
Adriana gritted her teeth but accepted the defeat.
"Even if they’re mediocre, nobles are nobles, I suppose," she retorted, taking his hand to stand up.
Kaiser smiled slightly.
"Who are you calling mediocre? Aren’t you afraid I’ll banish you from the county?"
The soldiers whispered among themselves. Many who remembered him from the time when he vomited after Kethra’s training now looked at him with respect.
Addams approached and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I’m proud of you, my son. I can finally be relieved that you’re going to the academy."
The Paragon was back, and he was more dangerous than ever.
