Evolution Online: Building a Kingdom with 100\% drop rate-Chapter 14: Ch-: A Small Slaughter
Despite being surrounded by dozens of people, Victor remained calm. He looked directly at the guy who seemed to be the leader and spoke nonchalantly, "You must be the leader of this weak group. What makes you think you can beat me with such pitiful numbers?"
"You can act calm all you want, but we all know you can’t defeat so many of us by yourself!" the young man said in an arrogant tone, and then replied proudly, "And yes, I am the elder David, who will make the guild World Dominators the number one guild."
"World Dominators..." Victor’s lips twitched when he heard the name. In his past life, he had never heard of this guild and could tell that it must have collapsed early. He then thought inwardly, But the name... sure is ambitious.
"I will give everyone here a chance to walk away. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being merciless," Victor said as he coldly swept his gaze over the players.
David frowned upon seeing some people leave the formation as they remembered how dangerous Victor was, and that they would die in real life as well.
"You cowardly bastards! Don’t think you’ll get away scot-free! We’ll take care of everyone who left once we deal with him! My brother is with the mafia—I will find your real identities and have you killed!" David roared.
Hearing this, some of the people who had left returned to the formation. The rest were willing to take the risk.
"Don’t be intimidated. Watch—I can handle him alone," David said with a snort as he stepped forward and shouted at the others, "Circle him so he doesn’t run away!"
David said to the other players as they formed a human circle around them. Victor watched calmly, not even a twitch on his face.
"Oh?" Victor curled his lips when he saw David bringing out the gun and dagger he had sold on the market.
"Are you surprised? You must be shocked, aren’t you? Bring out your weapon," David said, but there was a hint of nervousness in his voice. He was confident even though Victor had hunted alone in places with strong monsters and returned without any injuries.
In his eyes, Victor was merely putting on an act so he wouldn’t get targeted by other group leaders like him who ganged up on lone players and took a part of their experience as compensation. Yes, a player could give stored experience to other players the same way they used it for buying items.
From his perspective, the people he had beaten up were from the early days when they were afraid and inexperienced, and he had gained a head start. But after they formed groups, all of their levels had increased, and he refused to believe that Victor could still be stronger than him. In his opinion—and many other players also thought the same—Faceless must be someone powerful in the real world who had offered benefits, and a large number of people must have been giving him their experience points.
"I just need to fight you, right?" Victor said as he raised his finger like a weapon toward him.
Seeing Victor raise his finger, the players thought Victor was mocking them, but looking at his expression, which was devoid of any emotion, they were left speechless.
A finger—not any weapon at all. For someone who wanted to be a guild leader, it made David furious to be treated like this.
"Get lost!" David shouted as he lunged at Victor with the dagger at a speed higher than any normal human.
However, Victor simply swung his finger and destroyed the dagger in David’s hand with a bored expression. The eyes of David and the others widened.
This was expected, as the dagger he had brought was the cheapest one and could not even cut his skin. Moreover, Victor’s physical strength was far too great; the dagger’s durability dropped to zero and it shattered instantly.
Then Victor appeared in front of David in an instant. His speed greatly surprised him; he wasn’t able to notice or react to it.
[You have been dealt catastrophic damage]
[You have lost 70% of your health]
The message that flashed on his retina made him fall into despair as he thought, This guy is on a completely different level, and judging by his attack he isn’t even really attacking... it’s like he’s just poking me with his fingers.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A loud gunshot rang out as Victor dodged the sneak attacks of the other players from the group who came at him from three different directions with ease. He predicted where the opponents would attack and easily responded. The other players were baffled and terrified by seeing his speed and perception. It felt as if their minds were being read.
"Hmmmm... Interrupting the fight of your future guild master with underhanded tactics... Well, it doesn’t matter anyway. I will kill you too."
"Everyone bring out your guns and shoot this bastard!" David roared at the top of his voice, and the others who were panicking snapped out of their daze and brought out their guns as they aimed at Victor.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Victor, who saw at least more than 40 people bring out guns and point them at him, remained calm as he watched indifferently.
As the bullets flew toward him, he activated his new skill and dodged them with ease, leaving behind trails of black lightning. His speed stats combined with his new skill made it extremely easy to dodge the bullets.
"What!" David, who saw this, exclaimed and then narrowed his eyes as he saw the trail of black lightning. Damn, what skill is that?
Rumble!
Victor moved toward the players who were targeting him and started killing them with a single punch.
"No!"
"Wait..."
"I am sorry, don’t—"
The players kept screaming for mercy in fear. In one minute, he had killed around 20 of them.
"This bastard!"
Having seen their colleagues killed so easily, they felt fear rather than anger and could not move due to their shaking legs, which were smeared with the blood of their fallen teammates.
David cursed. He couldn’t understand it at all. What the hell was this person? Why was he so strong? He had lost his sense of reason and began to shout curses.
"You all quickly give me your extra experience points!" David roared. The players hesitated when they heard this, and seeing that, he became even more furious "If you don’t, we are going to die!"
Hearing this, everyone hurriedly gave him their experience points.
[You have received 50 experience points from Rob] 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
[You have received 35 experience points from John]
[You have...]
"Oh?" Victor paused as he noticed David’s level rising. He knew that this would later become a booming business where weaker players would farm monsters, store their experience points, and sell them to top players for real-life money, as in the later stages leveling up required insane amounts of experience points even for a single level.
"Come, I will kill you myself." David’s eyes became bloodshot as he couldn’t accept that he had been beaten so one-sidedly.
"Die!" he roared as he grabbed a sword from the corpse of a nearby player and slashed it toward Victor.
Victor did not move but had an amused smile on his face as he watched the sword close in on him.
"Hah, not so tough, idiot. I win!" David sneered when he saw his sword cut Victor in half at the waist, but the joy was short-lived when he saw the upper part of Victor’s body smirk.
"Who said you win?" Victor smirked, much to his horror, as he turned into black lightning and rejoined with his lower half.
"How?" Those were his last words before his head was crushed by Victor.
Five minutes later
Victor looked at the corpses on the ground without much emotion as a new notification popped up.
[You are the first person to kill so many players]
[You have unlocked the skill Bloodlust]
