Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking-Chapter 922: Things are moving
--
Something was happening...
That’s the consensus of the people who are more perceptive than others. Of course, this doesn’t mean that they knew what it was, but they could tell that it’s far from simple.
They assumed this because of the sudden energy and activity that’s happening all over the realm. It’s like some people are in a rush—the kind where deadlines are approaching and the project is a life-changing one.
The sensation wasn’t localized in a single area or sector domain; it’s happening everywhere.
That said, even those who are in a rush basically have no clue why they’re in a rush either. The real reason was kept from them. Instead, they were told false truths to pull their attention away from the real reason why there are sudden frantic movements all over the realm.
Obviously, this has something to do with the colonization efforts; the public just doesn’t know about it yet.
And that’s on purpose. The Human Council and all relevant parties agreed that now is not yet the time to reveal this to the public. At least, not until the foundations of humanity’s civilization were built and sufficient for their migration.
The sudden rush of orders wasn’t because the council and its relevant parties were clamoring for resources. This was just a smokescreen, a cloud to hide the real movements from the eyes of the perceptive ones.
They’re pulling out people who will take part in colonization efforts, making sure to make them sign NDA forms should they join the effort. If not, their memories will be erased, and they’ll move on not knowing or remembering that the meeting ever happened.
The time when the colonization period could start was approaching fast, and they needed to have teams readily available. That’s why there were activities everywhere. People were being shuffled around right under people’s noses; all of this to make sure that news of the colonization won’t leak just yet.
Both Nick and Patricia were supervising this movement. They are constantly on the lookout to see if some will crack under pressure or be tempted to leak the news out.
With both of them watching, there’s practically no room for anybody to leak out the news. They will be intercepted and dealt with before they can even think of it.
As such, the gathering of teams continued until the expected numbers were met. Experts from all over the realm were invited to participate in this monumental and once-in-a-lifetime chance.
At least 95% of the people who were qualified joined the moment they learned of what the project was about.
They’re not stupid. They wouldn’t have qualified if they were. There’s practically no reason for them to decline being involved in this project. This was a legendary mission, if they ever saw one, and who would be stupid enough to refuse the chance to be involved in such a historic event?
As for the 5% who declined, they didn’t do so because they didn’t want to. They declined because they have other priorities, ones that, to them, were far more important than being involved in a project as large as this one.
The staff didn’t make things difficult for them. They empathized and felt that it’s a shame that they couldn’t join; the ones who declined feel the same. But even so, rules were rules. Since they declined the invitation, their memories of this meeting will be erased, sealed, or rewritten to prevent the news from leaking out.

One of the experts who were graciously invited and accepted the mission was a woman named Alicia Vasquez.
She’s an expert who worked at the natural reserves and has reached the Heavenly Venerate Realm.
Alicia was also the current matriarch of the White Dove Clan—a small alliance of families who made it their duty to observe and preserve nature. They have over 10,000 years of history but not very strong themselves.
And, as luck would have it, they just happened to live in a sector domain that was rather chaotic in a bad way.
Fights are a common scene where they live. Battles break out at the smallest and simplest arguments. Children had to mature very early and face the ugliness of the world before they even entered their teenage years because of how messy and lawless their environment was.
Alicia tries very hard to care for and provide a peaceful and nurturing environment for her clan, but it’s kind of hard to do that considering the kind of world they live in.
There have been many times in the past where she seriously considered moving into a different sector domain along with her clan. But the sad news is that she can’t do that.
Her clan was in a binding agreement to align themselves with the current sector lord, and that agreement had to be honored, or else Alicia and her clan would suffer heaven’s wrath.
While she could personally deal with the consequences of violating that agreement, her clan members can’t, especially not the children. Therefore, even though she’s been searching for other options for a very long time, she and her clan could only remain in this kind of environment.
Now, though, she had seen a massive opportunity and was determined to not let it slip through her fingers.
Of course, she was talking about joining the mission to join the colonization efforts.
She was dumbstruck when she learned that the council was planning on colonizing not just one, but two! Two additional Chaos Realms!
After they explained the general story of how this came to be, Alicia was practically vibrating in excitement.
Two Chaos Realms! That’s so much land to cover. Surely...surely she could ask for a little space for her and her clan, right?
And you know what made this deal even sweeter for her? It’s the fact that, once she signed the binding contract, she and her clan would essentially be released from their servitude of the sector lord they’re bound to.
She was given a guarantee by the Human Sovereigns themselves, in their own writing, that if she joined, they would deal with the mess that her ancestors left her.
They will nullify the binding agreement with the sector lord so thoroughly that the White Dove Clan will never have to be wary of being struck down by heavenly punishment lightning by violating the agreement.
Just with this alone, Alicia would’ve already signed in a heartbeat. Hell, she’d even be willing to work for free just for this benefit.
But of course, the staff wouldn’t let that happen. Alicia’s expertise wasn’t something that the council would slight. Of course, her salary will depend on her performance.
And to make matters better, she was even promised that, when the colonization entered the phase where it’s safe for migration, she and her clan would be given a solar system for themselves.
Of course, how they develop and protect that place will be up to them. So long as they don’t recklessly damage or cause its death, they have free reign.
Alicia was nearly weeping in joy when she heard of that. This was such an overwhelmingly good offer that she couldn’t even think of doubting the staff.
But even though she was tempted to sign it right away, she paced herself and made sure to read every word written in the contract. Even more so since this all sounds too good to be true.
That said, aside from forcing her not to reveal news of this to be public until she was given explicit permission to and making sure she adhered to the workload and the rules and regulations on the site, there was nothing else here that looked like a trap to her.
Alicia had rich experience with contracts. How can she not when it’s exactly such contracts that practically made her life and her clan’s lives miserable? She’s always been wary of them.
But even with her expertise, she couldn’t find anything here that would exploit her or her clan. And maybe it’s because there was none.
So, she made an executive decision to sign in, having this contract bind her and her clan.
As soon as she did, she was welcomed to the team and was introduced to her teammates. She couldn’t tell her clan just yet since work hasn’t started yet, but it won’t be long.
However, since she already signed the contracts, its effects were already in effect.
Her clan was saved; they’re no longer bound to the sector lord that made them suffer through a miserable life. Soon, they could move to a new place and start a new period of her life.
As for Alicia, with her clan’s survival practically guaranteed, she could delve into her real passion without worries, one that just happens to align with the responsibilities of the new team she’s in. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Alicia’s story was just one of many. It’s not the worst, and it’s definitely not the best.
Even so, people from all over the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm were being mobilized and gathered in teams to start the colonization plans.
Soon, the first phase of the project will begin.
