Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 1876 - 1977: The Sensation Brought by Long Wu
"What’s pyramid selling?" Xiang Yu asked, puzzled.
"Pyramid selling is..." Sun Bo found it hard to explain to Xiang Yu in a short time and then said, "Brother Yu, have you been scammed?"
"No, when do you have time to come over, and we can discuss it properly," Xiang Yu said. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Bro, it’s dangerous there. I just got robbed, and now you’re asking me to come over," Sun Bo replied somewhat reluctantly.
"I already taught those who robbed you a lesson, so don’t worry. It’s very safe here," Xiang Yu said with a smile.
Sun Bo knew Xiang Yu must have encountered some difficulties, so he reluctantly said, "Alright, I am free these days. I’ll find a way to come over tomorrow."
"Okay, we’ll talk about it when you get here," Xiang Yu said and hung up the phone.
Sun Bo thought for a moment and then quickly arranged his work.
Just then, his phone rang. It was a call from Long Wu.
After some casual pleasantries, Long Wu asked, "Has Xiang Yu called home recently? Do you have any news about him?"
"Uh, well..." Sun Bo hesitated, unsure if he should tell Long Wu about Xiang Yu.
"Is he in trouble? Where is he now?" Long Wu asked anxiously.
"No, Brother Yu is fine. I just talked to him on the phone," Sun Bo quickly said.
But as soon as he said this, he regretted it.
"You just talked to him? Where is he? Why did he call you?" Long Wu pressed on.
"Hehe, it’s nothing, just some casual questions," Sun Bo stammered.
Having navigated the business world for years, Sun Bo was articulate, but he never lied in front of Long Wu or Xiang Yu.
"Tell me the truth. What is he up to?" Long Wu demanded.
Sun Bo knew he couldn’t hide it. If he didn’t tell her now, Long Wu would definitely come chasing after him.
"Brother Yu is currently in Little Xu. He called earlier to ask for money and for me to come over," Sun Bo confessed.
"What? Why did he go there? Why didn’t you stop him? It’s chaos there, they’re fighting," Long Wu was very worried.
"I, I tried to stop him, but couldn’t," Sun Bo replied weakly.
In the eyes of outsiders, Sun Bo was a high-ranking CEO, and their company was a nationally supported enterprise; who would have thought he had such an ordinary side?
Long Wu also knew Xiang Yu wouldn’t listen to Sun Bo’s advice, so she didn’t blame him.
"You don’t need to go. I’ll go instead," Long Wu said decisively.
"No way." Sun Bo also firmly said, "It’s dangerous there. Not long ago I was captured and almost couldn’t return, let alone you."
Long Wu was stunningly attractive, and because she had held a high position for a long time, she radiated an intangible charm that made one’s heart race.
Although Sun Bo was the CEO, he was not as famous as Long Wu.
Long Wu was still single, and many wealthy first and second generations had set their sights on her, but Long Wu always had a distant look, giving no one a chance.
"It’s decided. Just tell me his exact location, I’m leaving now," Long Wu insisted without room for discussion.
"I have to discuss it with Brother Yu first. If you go, he might kill me," Sun Bo said.
"What’s there to discuss? I’m leaving now. Text me later, but don’t tell him," Long Wu said and hung up the phone.
Sun Bo stood there dumbfounded, he was in a dilemma. After all, Little Xu was chaotic, and he didn’t want Long Wu to go.
But given the situation, with Long Wu insisting on going, it might be more dangerous if he didn’t tell her the location.
He held the phone, wanting to call Xiang Yu, but after thinking it over, he didn’t. Instead, he sent Long Wu Xiang Yu’s exact location.
At this moment, Long Wu was already on her way to the airport.
"President Long, should I go with you?" the female driver in the front asked worriedly.
She was both Long Wu’s driver and her bodyguard, personally arranged by Xiang Yu.
"No need. It’s dangerous there; I’ll be fine on my own," Long Wu replied, leaning back.
The person wanted to say more, but Long Wu gestured for silence, not wanting others to take risks with her.
Long Wu’s car hadn’t even reached the airport before paparazzi started following her, all eager for the first scoop.
Some high-ranking officials also began to take action, all too enamored by Long Wu, needing to know her every move.
By the time Long Wu reached the airport, many people with flowers were already prepared for her arrival.
"President Long, what a coincidence! You’re here too," a chubby man with a bouquet in his hands called out.
Long Wu just nodded perfunctorily and walked straight in.
Seeing that Long Wu ignored him, the chubby man was persistent and chased after her again.
Just then, two young men came running from a distance, laughing, "Sister Long, what a coincidence! You’re here too."
Long Wu was somewhat impatient and continued forward, unwilling to engage.
"President Long, what a coincidence! You’re here too."
Another group arrived, repeating the same words.
A crowd gathered around Long Wu, offering flowers and flattering remarks. Others snapped photos from the side.
Long Wu found them utterly obnoxious. Turning to look at the crowd, she finally said, "I’m planning to go abroad, anyone want to join me?"
"I’ll go."
"I’ll accompany you; I’m free anyway."
Some started debating among themselves. They had never received such an invitation before, the prospect of traveling abroad with the beautiful Long Wu was thrilling.
Amidst the debate, the chubby man said, "Where to? I’m fully prepared."
"Little Xu," Long Wu replied calmly.
As soon as she spoke, everyone paused, looking at Long Wu in surprise, wondering if they had heard correctly.
"You’re kidding, right? There’s a war going on there."
"Yeah, that place isn’t good. Let’s not go. Let’s go to Malaysia instead; it’s a great vacation spot."
"America is better, it’s democratic."
A chorus of voices spoke up with differing opinions. Observing their faces, Long Wu snorted coldly and walked away with her luggage.
By now, no one dared follow her; they all watched from a distance, wondering if Long Wu was really going to Little Xu.
When Long Wu passed security with a ticket to Little Xu, everyone was dumbfounded.
"Oh no, my stomach hurts, I need to get to the hospital."
"Oh right, I have a client meeting today."
One by one, they found excuses to leave and soon dispersed.
Watching them depart, Long Wu shook her head with a sigh. Her beauty wasn’t her fault, but living under constant surveillance was wearying...
