Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 948 - 986: Don’t Say Any More
"Alright, then Mabel and I will head back now, congratulations to you both today," Kyle Kinston said.
"Thanks." Dorian Howards patted Kyle Kinston’s shoulder and said, "Next, it’s your turn."
Kyle Kinston acknowledged with a sound and then took Mabel Quinn’s hand to leave.
Mabel Quinn, at this moment, was almost absent-mindedly being led away.
They got into the car, and inside, there was a silence throughout the journey. Kyle Kinston quietly gazed at the scenery outside the window, while Mabel Quinn kept her head down, continually digesting the shocking facts.
Once, when Kyle mentioned his fiancée, she used to think if that fiancée hadn’t died back then, the fate of Kyle’s parents might have been different.
But now, it turns out that fiancée didn’t really die, yet the outcome remained the same.
No wonder Mr. Conley was afraid of Kyle, no wonder Alice mentioned the oddities about her father, there was indeed another layer of reason behind it.
All the way back to Kyle’s mansion, Mabel Quinn finally seemed to have sorted through the matter somewhat, she said to Kyle Kinston, "When did you know that Alice’s father was your mother’s fiancé?"
"The day you were trying on the bridesmaid’s dress," Kyle Kinston said.
Mabel Quinn suddenly thought of Francine Howards, "Was Francine coming to see you that day about this matter?"
"Yes." He responded.
"..." It was at that time... so that’s why he left with Francine and even immediately visited Falling City that day.
Now, piecing together many things, there were actually traces to follow.
"Did you make Alice’s father leave? Where did he go?" she asked.
"Anywhere, all I want is for him never to see his wife and daughter for the rest of his life, to have him end up alone," he said coldly.
Mabel Quinn bit her lip, if it was truly like this, then the Conley Family might not have any happiness in the future.
"Does it have to be this way? Can’t you... forgive him? I saw him just now, he too seemed to be guilty about the events of the past," Mabel Quinn pleaded. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Kyle Kinston’s eyes fixated tightly on the person in front of him, "Are you pleading for that selfish man? Just letting him leave his family is already the greatest mercy. Otherwise, with what he did, he wouldn’t die enough times! He’s living well now, with a wife and daughter, but what about my parents? Must they remain buried underground? All started because of him, but must others bear the consequences? If it wasn’t due to his faked death, how could my mother have left so decisively, struggling alone in K City, even..."
His eyes were filled with pain.
Mabel Quinn suddenly embraced him, "Don’t say anymore, Kyle, stop talking." She knew that every time he mentioned these things, it was a painful memory and an indescribable torment for him.
When she hugged him, she felt his body was so rigid and cold.
"Kyle, I know, I know it all. So, you don’t need to say anything more," Mabel Quinn murmured, holding him even tighter.
"Mabel, this is already the lowest price he must pay." After a long while, Kyle Kinston murmured, "I’m not a saint, I can’t possibly forgive him, if it wasn’t for him, my life would have been different." Maybe his mother would have stayed by his father’s side all along; maybe he would have had both parents and wouldn’t have experienced such disgrace, abuse, or even bloodstained hands.
