Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 828 - 863: The Jealous One
"He’s a friend of Daxton, the guy you met twice last time," Alice Conley added.
Dorian Howards only just now pieced together that the man he met twice was named Daxton. "So, what’s your relationship with this Daxton?"
"Of course, we’re just friends," she replied.
"Friends? How did you meet?" he asked again, completely unaware that he was now giving off a strong vibe of jealousy.
"We met on a blind date," Alice said without thinking. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Suddenly, the pot of jealousy exploded, "A blind date? Alice Conley, you went on a blind date?" Dorian felt his mind nearly go blank.
Yet despite his anger, the person who riled him up was utterly calm, "Uh, there’s no law that says I can’t go on dates."
"You’re carrying my child!" he emphasized the main point.
"Yeah, but I asked you to marry me, and you said no. So, even if I go on dates and marry someone else, I’m not in the wrong," she said, innocently blinking her big round eyes.
In the past, whenever she blinked her eyes like that, it would give him a feeling of adorable cuteness, making him want to hold her and kiss her endlessly. But now, he only felt the urge to spit blood.
Her words were practically slapping him in the face, yet he couldn’t refute a single thing.
Yes, she wanted to marry him, he refused, so even if she marries someone else and lets their child call another man "dad," she wouldn’t be wrong. But the problem is... he couldn’t take it.
She then patted his shoulder, almost reassuringly, "I understand, you don’t want to get married just because of the child. I understand."
Understand, my ass, Dorian wanted to curse, but more than anything, he felt like he was reaping what he had sown.
Back then, he was so determined to break up with her, but now, he’s half-dead with anger over her blind dates. The truth is, he’s the one who can’t let go of that relationship, not her!
Jacob Fletcher looked thoughtfully at the interaction between Alice Conley and Dorian Howards. This "father of the child" certainly seemed to care about Alice, right? But he cares, yet doesn’t want to marry? There must be a story there.
In the end, Dorian Howards directly dragged Alice Conley away, barely giving her time to say goodbye to Jacob Fletcher, let alone have a proper conversation.
"What do you think you’re doing!" Alice Conley complained, "Do you know how hard it is for me to see him? I didn’t even get to say much."
"What, have you taken a liking to him too? Alice Conley, how many men are you planning to like?" he said, irritated, anxious, and with an unease he couldn’t even describe.
Her face turned pale, then she said, "Even if I liked several, I wouldn’t like you again."
"Alice Conley, you..."
"Did I say something wrong?" She looked up at him with determination, "Dorian Howards, what do you really want? You’re the one who said you didn’t want to get married, didn’t want to see each other, but now you’re the one getting upset for no reason. Are you saying that since we broke up, and I got pregnant with your child, I can’t have new feelings for someone else? You refuse to marry me, so does that mean I can’t marry someone else?"
"I..." he bit his lip, as if something were stuck in his throat, making it difficult to speak.
"If you have to force yourself to say it, then it’s better left unsaid," Alice Conley said, raising her hand to hail a taxi, getting into the car.
