Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 827 - 862: Just an Ex-Boyfriend
"Huh?" Alice Conley was startled.
"There’s a man who’s been looking over our way often. I was wondering if he might be someone you know," Jacob Fletcher said.
"Where?" Alice Conley’s tension rose instantly. Based on Jacob Fletcher’s description, her first thought was of Dorian Howards, but logically, Dorian shouldn’t be here, right?
"Just at the 9 o’clock direction from you," Jacob Fletcher said.
Alice Conley whipped her head around sharply, only to meet Dorian Howards’ gaze directly. Suddenly, time seemed to freeze. Alice Conley stared wide-eyed, in disbelief. God, it’s really... Dorian Howards?!
Dorian Howards’ face twitched slightly, but his strong inner confidence quickly helped him adjust. His handsome face bore a smile, showing no signs of the awkwardness of being caught in the act of tracking.
Dorian Howards picked up those large bags he had just bought and walked into the dessert shop, then placed them on the empty seat next to Alice Conley’s, "Here, this is for you."
"What?" Alice Conley jumped in shock, "For me?" She glanced at them overall, noticing they were all maternal and infant products, and appeared very familiar, almost like things she had particularly paid attention to before. Additionally, there was a bunch she hadn’t noticed before, all maternity undergarments and maternity wear.
He dared to... follow behind her while she was shopping downstairs?
Because Jacob Fletcher was present, Alice Conley felt too embarrassed to ask directly, so she decided to communicate with Dorian using eye contact.
But at this moment, Dorian’s eyes weren’t looking at her at all; instead, he was staring intensely at Jacob Fletcher, as if the other guy was highly attractive.
If Alice Conley weren’t well aware of Dorian Howards’ sexual orientation, she might have actually suspected something.
Finally, Jacob Fletcher was the first to speak, "Alice, this gentleman is...?"
"He’s..."
Before Alice Conley could introduce him, Dorian Howards spoke up, "I’m the father of the baby in Alice’s belly."
Alice Conley nearly banged her head on the table. Fortunately, Jacob Fletcher knew she was pregnant; if it were anyone else who didn’t, the situation would be so awkward.
Jacob Fletcher was somewhat surprised. As a mid-level manager in a large corporation, he had encountered all sorts of people. Though he hadn’t paid much attention from a distance earlier, when Dorian Howards approached, Jacob could clearly feel that this man was no ordinary person.
Not to mention the cost of his outfit, even the kind of aura he exuded, likely only cultivated within prominent families.
He hadn’t expected Alice Conley’s baby’s father to be such a man, which was quite different from his initial assumption.
"Just an ex-boyfriend, that’s all," Alice Conley quickly clarified.
Ex-boyfriend... just that? Dorian Howards felt the sting of those words, but he had nothing to say back, "Hello, I’m Dorian Howards. May I know how to address you?"
Upon hearing Dorian Howards’ name, Jacob Fletcher felt it was somewhat familiar, like he’d heard it somewhere before, but didn’t think much of it and said, "I’m Jacob Fletcher. Although today is my first time meeting Alice, I’d say we’re friends."
"First time meeting?" Dorian Howards couldn’t help but frown.
