Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 226 - 235 Arrested
Chapter 226: Chapter 235 Arrested
As soon as the call went through, Mabel Quinn hadn’t even spoken when Alice Conley anxiously asked, "Mabel, how are you? Are you okay? Is everything alright?"
"I’m fine, I just slept at the hospital, and I just got out this morning," Mabel Quinn replied.
"As long as you’re okay." Alice Conley finally breathed a sigh of relief, but then cautiously asked, "Mabel, do you know what happened to you yesterday?"
"I don’t know yet, but Kyle said he would look into it," Mabel Quinn replied.
"Take care of yourself," Alice Conley said, though the worries in her heart couldn’t be put into words. She just hoped this matter had nothing to do with Evelyn.
After ending the call with Alice Conley, Mabel Quinn called the Corporation to ask for leave.
Ever since she got back from the restaurant, Evelyn had been on edge. Even though she reassured herself that they wouldn’t trace it back to her, it was her first time doing such a thing, and naturally, she felt uneasy.
Moreover, she learned that Kyle Kinston’s two subordinates had directly delivered that man to the nearby police station. Even the waiter who spiked the drink for her had been arrested by the police.
"Evelyn, what’s wrong? You seem unhappy. Should I buy you some jewelry to cheer you up?" her boyfriend asked.
Evelyn looked at her boyfriend. Yes, she hadn’t broken up with him at all. She lied in the private room that day. If she could get close to Kyle Kinston at that time, she would naturally ditch this boyfriend. But if she couldn’t, there wasn’t anyone better than him pursuing her at the moment. She couldn’t just give up a rich boyfriend like that.
"Then I want that crystal and diamond necklace I liked last week," Evelyn said. The necklace cost over a hundred thousand, not exactly expensive, but not cheap either.
"Alright, if it makes you happy, let’s buy it," the man agreed readily. But as they walked to the jewelry store entrance, a few plainclothes policemen stopped them.
"Excuse me, are you Miss Evelyn?" one of them asked.
"I am," Evelyn replied, a sudden sense of unease washing over her.
The plainclothes officer showed his credentials and then said, "We suspect Miss Evelyn is connected to an intentional drugging incident. We need you to come with us to the police station for investigation."
"Are you sure you have the right person?" Evelyn’s boyfriend quickly asked.
But at this moment, Evelyn’s face had turned pale, and she was trembling uncontrollably. They found out? They actually found out this was related to her so quickly? How could this be?!

Mabel Quinn rested at the Kinston residence for a day, and went to work the next day. The editor-in-chief showed concern about her health, and she could only say she had been unwell the day before and was feeling fine today. So, the editor-in-chief asked her to deliver a stack of documents to Han Garden.
Regarding Han Garden, Mabel Quinn had gotten quite familiar with it in recent days. As usual, she took the company’s shuttle over there.
Led by the servant to the poolside behind the small garden at Han Garden, Mabel Quinn saw a figure sitting there with a sketchbook, drawing. A big yellow dog lay lazily at the person’s feet, basking in the sun.
Mabel Quinn approached, "I’m here to deliver documents for our editor-in-chief. They’re all here," she said, placing the folder of documents on the small white round table.
