E-Rank or SSS-Rank: I Awakened a Skill That Shouldn't Exist-Chapter 316: Crossing A God
Han tucked his hands inside his pockets and muttered a single phrase.
"Inferno Vortex."
One command was enough.
The world answered.
A raging inferno erupted in the middle of the bullwolves' ranks. Flames roared to life without warning, swallowing bodies whole. Several beasts were reduced to ash before they even understood what was happening.
In only a few seconds, more than half of the attackers were gone.
Erased.
The remaining bullwolves finally felt it clearly.
The uncertainty from before vanished.
This human was dangerous. Extremely dangerous.
Still, some charged.
They rushed in waves, hoping to overwhelm him through numbers alone.
It was pointless.
Amidst the chaos and certain death, Han's gaze never changed. He had not exaggerated earlier. These beasts were nowhere near enough to make him serious. In skill, in control, in dominance, they were beneath him.
They closed in from all sides.
Han did not flinch.
He simply spoke again, casually.
"Inferno Vortex."
Every bullwolf that came within four meters of him detonated. Their bodies were consumed instantly by raging flames. Screams were cut short as flesh and bone collapsed into scorched heaps.
That was when the forest finally broke.
The surviving bullwolves turned and fled in all directions.
Not to escape.
To gather allies.
To hunt the anomaly named Han.
Han watched them run, his expression unchanged.
"I told you," he said calmly. "When I say I am wiping all of you out, I mean it."
A massive sphere of flame formed above his head, high in the sky. It burned silently, radiating pressure.
"Time to test a new addition," he added.
"Flame Bullet."
The fireball surged, then shattered into countless pieces. Each fragment sharpened, forming long, pointed bullets of compressed flame, humming with lethal intent.
Han's hands never left his pockets.
"Fire."
The flame bullets shot out in every direction, never missing.
Bullwolves fell one after another.
Some resisted. They hardened their bodies. They slashed at the bullets with claws. They fought desperately to survive.
It did not matter.
Those who reinforced their skin felt a wave of agony before burning from the inside out. Those who struck the bullets never saw the result. Their heads were reduced to ash along with their paws and limbs.
They were high A rank beasts. Their stats were monstrous. Their defenses terrifying.
None of it mattered.
Each flame bullet carried power equivalent to a low S rank attack.
They were nowhere near that level.
Not even close.
They howled.
They resisted.
They died.
And the forest burned in silence.
Han walked peacefully through the ruined forest.
Screams echoed endlessly, only to be cut off the next second as lives were snuffed out. The air reeked of burning flesh and fear, yet his gaze remained calm and composed. The same expression he had worn when he first entered the portal.
Nothing had changed.
He was completely unbothered by the destruction around him. By what he was causing. Why should he be. He had warned them.
Sincerely, Han had meant it when he said he was giving them a few more minutes to live.
He had grown stronger. Far stronger than he was nearly two years ago when he first awakened. Too much had happened since then.
The mysterious skill that broke logic itself. Meeting new people. Learning the truth about portal worlds. Facing Ifrit and gaining the title of Spirit Wielder. Meeting Ronan, once an anti hero, now one of his closest friends. Discovering the cursed organization and their accursed project. The A6. The S rank heroes. The Tournament of Power. The cursed attack. Ron's death.
Then the black portal.
Something that should have ended humanity.
It almost did.
Through a chain of near unexplainable events, they managed to close it.
Han did that.
He saved humanity from certain doom.
Six months had passed since the cursed attack.
Stronger was an understatement.
He had grown absurdly powerful.
The amount of EP and CP he gained from fighting the cursed elites, facing the Dark Emissary, clashing with the Knull, and somehow killing the Knull Lord had granted him an overwhelming surplus of power. Power that flowed into him and those around him.
Especially him.
To the point where he genuinely believed he might be the strongest human on the planet.
He had not fought the very top heroes yet. That much was true.
But he could not be bothered.
If he had to guess, the only person who might pose a real threat to him now was the number one hero.
The elusive Gold Walker.
Han did not know why the thought lingered. He had never seen Gold Walker before. Yet he felt it deep in his instincts.
They would meet soon.
That was when it happened.
A massive bullwolf burst through the inferno, having dodged most of the flame bullets. It appeared directly in front of Han, its enormous claw swinging down with terrifying force, aiming to tear his head from his shoulders.
Han's thoughts were elsewhere.
But his mind was vast. Vast enough to handle multiple actions without strain.
Even while reflecting, he saw it.
His hand never left his pocket.
"Gravitational Smash."
The gravity around the bullwolf multiplied a million times over.
Its raised arm slammed into the ground instantly. The earth caved inward as if crushed by an invisible god. Fur was ripped from bone. The bullwolf's body collapsed unnaturally, organs imploding under the pressure.
It coughed out a massive mouthful of blood.
Its insides had been crushed.
Yet Han did not even spare it a glance.
He calmly strolled forward and stepped on its head.
The bullwolf felt shame. Disgrace.
It tried to rise.
The force of the gravitational smash multiplied several times over.
The helpless bullwolf was crushed into minced meat.
Han walked on.
There was something he almost forgot.
The battle and the closing of the black portal had greatly affected the world as a whole. Colored portals began opening everywhere, across the entire planet. Day by day, their numbers increased.
It was terrifying.
That was what had kept Han and the others busy these past few months.
Portal after portal. Boss after boss.
Han had entered them all.
Before, clearing a red portal required his full trusted team. Aiden. Clara. Ronan.
Now, portals were appearing faster than heroes could clear them.
Troubling.
But with Han and the rest of his guild, the high S class heroes, and the A6 including Elexa, they managed to keep disasters from spilling out and consuming the world.
Just today alone, Han had already cleared more than three red portals.
And it had not been a hassle.
Not with how much he had grown.
He had grown too much to feel anything stepping from one red portal into another.
When he entered this plane, he activated Analyzer Eye, a skill now pushed to high S rank. It revealed everything he needed. It told him clearly.
Nothing here posed a threat.
That was why Han decided to rest for a bit before clearing this portal and moving on to the next.
But these bullwolves insisted on dying by his hand.
So he honored them.
Minutes passed.
More bullwolves died.
They were completely unable to cope.
They were the ones who brought death and destruction to any human foolish enough to enter their plane.
Now the roles were reversed.
And the worst part was not the slaughter.
It was that the human remained casual.
The same calm expression as when he first arrived. His gaze unchanged. His eyes serene. One hand tucked into his pocket as he walked through devastation like it was a peaceful stroll.
The worst truth of all.
Han had not even fought them.
He had not exerted himself.
He simply spoke.
And the world obeyed.
As Han walked forward, his handsome face illuminated by countless red stars formed from flame bullets, his blue eyes glowing softly, the bullwolves reached a single conclusion.
They were doomed.
They had crossed something they should not have.
They had crossed a god.
To be continued…
