E-Rank or SSS-Rank: I Awakened a Skill That Shouldn't Exist-Chapter 307: Not A scratch
Chapter 307
Out of all Han’s skills, the most destructive and brutal one was still the thunderstorm. Even after so long, nothing he had could match its range and sheer power. He wiped out every bandit at the cursed base the first time he used it... then the skill went gray, locked for three long days before it could be used again.
But here... in this world... it was different.
Here it reset after only a few hours.
Here it felt like the rules were bending around him.
Han didn’t know why, but he was grateful. With the thunderstorm ready again, he was certain he could kill the Knull Lord. Using the thunderstorm alone might not be enough... but who said he planned to rely on it alone?
When Han was finally ready, he lifted a finger and aimed it straight at the Knull Lord.
"Lightning Force, Thunderstorm."
The sky split.
Lightning tore down through the air, a brutal spear of white-blue destruction that slammed into the Knull Lord with enough force to shake the entire building. A massive bolt shattered the rooftop, punching straight into the arena where the Knull Lord stood frozen in the storm’s light. Cracks ripped through the stone beneath him.
But Han wasn’t done.
Vortexes of flames erupted outward.... dozens, twisting and roaring as they rushed forward. Lightning bolts kept crashing down violently, each one exploding with destructive force, and the inferno joined in, turning the battlefield into a swirling, chaotic hellscape.
If any low-ranker had been anywhere near this fight, they wouldn’t have survived the shockwaves alone.
But the Knull Lord stood there... taking everything.
Han condensed the attacks into a single dome, forcing all that energy into one killing zone.... every strike meant to hit at full power.
The group held their breath. Even from far away, their skin tingled and crawled from the sheer density and savagery of the energy in that dome.
Eventually, the storm calmed.
And the moment they saw the result, all their hearts froze.
The arena was gone.... burned, electrocuted, torn apart beyond recognition. Nothing was left but a crater of smoke and ruin.
Inside it...
the Knull Lord stood unharmed.
Calm. Unmoving. As if the entire battle was a light breeze.
His four red eyes glowed with their own cold brilliance. Not a single wound on his body. The golden skull on his head crackled with power, alive like it was mocking them.
Aiden couldn’t hold it in.
"Wait.... what kind of monster survives that without a single wound?"
No one answered. They didn’t have to. The dread in their eyes said everything. If they’d been scared for Han before... now they were terrified for him.
And Han... even he was shocked beyond words.
He had thrown everything into that attack. Everything. And it still wasn’t enough to kill the Knull Lord.
Just what kind of monster was he facing?
Han landed, breath sharp, mind spinning.
He spoke in his head.
"Hey, Navy. You there?"
Silence.
Then the AI’s sarcastic voice finally answered.
"Yes, hero. I’m here."
They hadn’t spoken in days, not since the incident at Seranya. Han had almost forgotten about the AI entirely.... his helpful but absolutely insane companion.
And now, with a monster that couldn’t be hurt standing in front of him...
he had no choice but to call on it again.
If anything, Han had been so caught up in his plan to destroy the cursed base that he forgot his AI even existed. But now he remembered. Now he needed Navi more than ever.
"Any idea how to end him?" Han asked.
The AI stayed silent for a long, uncomfortable moment. Then it sighed before speaking.
"Why must you put me in these difficult situations and only ask for my opinion when you are one breath away from dying?"
Han didn’t know why, but it genuinely felt like the AI held a grudge against him. Normally he would have found that funny. But right now wasn’t the time for amusement.
The Knull Lord spoke with calm certainty. "You have one attack left. If you lose, you die."
Navi’s voice came out small, trembling with dread.
"Hero, why are you always getting into trouble? Don’t you know that if you die, I probably die with you? This is too much. If you want to kill yourself then fine, but why drag me into your madness?"
Han couldn’t help the slight smile tugging at his lips.
"Since you know our lives are in danger, then come up with a way to keep us alive," he said.
And so the duo began planning. Well, mostly Navi did the planning while Han listened. The AI was far more complex and smarter than him anyway.
After a few more seconds, the plan was set.
The Knull Lord stood there, calm as ever, watching Han without a hint of concern.
"Okay. This will be the last and final attack," Han said quietly.
He charged forward with a burst of speed so violent it cracked the air itself. He soared, breaking through the sound barrier, climbing higher and higher until he looked like a tiny dot in the sky.
Lightning and fire erupted around him. His eyes glowed with fierce intent.
Then he plummeted.
Spinning like a drill.
"Tenth Jungle Art, Falcon Dive."
Flames and lightning wrapped around him, forming a spiraling spear of destruction. The space around him warped and distorted from the sheer power building up. He dropped straight toward the Knull Lord’s head.
The moment before impact, the Knull Lord raised one hand. One hand. And he stopped the rotating drill of fire and lightning.
Han pressed harder. The Knull Lord was forced to use his second hand to hold it back.
That was the moment Han smiled.
He fell for it.
A sharp sound cut the air. Han appeared behind the Knull Lord in an instant, fist already flying toward the golden skull.
"Tiger Punch. Fourthenth Jungle Art."
His fist landed with a deafening boom that ripped through the arena.
With Tiger Punch multiplied sixfold, Han was certain that if the Knull Lord didn’t die, he would at least be shattered or crippled. The skull was the weak point. It had to be.
But the sight waiting for Han froze his blood.
There wasn’t a scratch.
Not even a dent.
The Knull Lord turned slowly, red eyes locking onto Han.
"You have wasted your three chances. Now it is my turn."
Han’s breath caught in his throat. Cold fear wrapped around his spine.
He was wrong. Completely wrong.
Even with the armor. Even with his skills. Even with everything he had... he could not harm the Knull Lord. Not even the slightest.
His defense wasn’t just insane.
It was catastrophic.
And now the Knull Lord is done playing....
To be continued...
