Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?-Chapter 1982: Sapphire’s Divine Evolution
-----
After a few minutes of wrestling my own sword, which had become obsessively affectionate, kissing and hugging me as though I were her baby, I finally broke free.
While Scarlet chatted with my spirits, carrying her spirit knights like loyal bodyguards and giving off the air of a noble high-status lady, I turned my attention to upgrading Sapphire as well.
Once all the ingredients were prepared, the giant cauldron boiled. Just as before, I expanded my own Soul Cauldron, or rather, the incomplete version I had awakened. Violet, being a tamed creature rather than a true Soul Treasure, couldn’t fully serve as one, but it didn’t matter.
My Alchemical Forge Master Subclass Ability spread my Forging and Alchemical Domain over the Soul Cauldron, creating a powerful alchemical formation. Combined with all my Alchemy Runes and the vast array of materials, it performed just as effectively as it had with Scarlet.
Sapphire was simpler to enhance. I didn’t need to worry about sharpness; my only focus was making her as tough and resilient as possible.
Thus...
CLANK!
CLANK!
CLANK!
CLANK!
I constantly submerged her in the alchemical liquid. She absorbed everything and glowed bright red. Then I struck her edges and surfaces with my hammer, forging and refining her with each precise blow.
I soaked her again, pulled her out, and repeated the process while adding more and more materials.
Eventually she shone brilliant gold. Dozens of circuits of magic and spiritual energy spread across her metal, converging into something greater...
I recognized the pattern, I had seen something similar before. Was this how "Divinity" was born in a weapon? By unifying these circuits into something transcendent!
So there was even a "science" behind it, though incredibly complex. Without all my combined skills and powers, no one else could likely achieve this...
Except perhaps Ruby. If she kept improving, one day she might surpass Master Felicia in smithing, forging, and everything related.
Maybe one day she would forge divine weapons effortlessly.
But for now...
CLANK!
CLANK!
CLANK!
CLANK! 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
I repeated the process tirelessly, connecting the circuits with even greater precision than before.
I let her absorb the soul orbs, spirit orbs, small spiritual hearts, divine materials, divine metals, and pseudo-divine beast parts.
The dungeon monsters were fed to her as well, along with fragments of the giant dryad’s diamond-hard ice.
I poured every drop of my spiritual energy and mana into this second creation, just as I had with Scarlet. Sweat poured from my forehead. I was exhausted, but I refused to stop.
She wanted to become a divine shield, didn’t she? Scarlet’s ascension had been pure luck. This time, everything depended on me. The slightest mistake and she would only reach A Rank...
I had to push beyond my limits and surpass myself!
"Now—the Spirit Armor, the shields, weapons...!"
I poured them all into the cauldron. They melted and fused around her. At last I added the ring, my blood, horn, fangs, scales, and claws to forge a deeper bond.
Finally, I placed half of the boss monster’s massive heart inside.
FLAAASH!
"I-It’s happening...!"
I gasped as the expected Alchemy Spirit surged forth—a gigantic azure hydra with a massive turtle shell covered in glowing crystals. It hissed menacingly at me.
"It’s massive...! Alright, let’s do this! Scarlet! Lend me your new divine power!"
"Yes, master!"
She rushed to my side and transformed into sword form. I gripped her tightly.
I unleashed my Yggdragon Aura in a single explosive burst, a volcanic eruption of pure spiritual and divine power.
Five giant dragon heads emerged, each embodying a different element. They roared ferociously, overflowing with my divinity. I compressed my Domain Skills and fused them all into the assault.
At the same time, I channeled my divine power into Scarlet. She released her own divinity, creating a fluctuating aura where our powers merged and exploded into something even greater.
Now this was true power!
CRAAASH! CRAAASH! CRAAASH! CRAAASH!
Constant explosions, rumbling clashes, and deafening roars echoed through the dungeon as I battled the divine-level Alchemy Spirit.
With Scarlet’s power, the task became almost effortless!
"HAAAAH!"
SLAAAASH!
A final devastating slash slew the beast. Its body rapidly dissolved into particles that Sapphire eagerly absorbed from within the cauldron.
As I watched, I used Synthesis and other Alchemy Spells to refine her to perfection.
"Almost there! We’re almost— Wait."
Something was missing.
It wasn’t complete yet. She couldn’t attain Divinity with just this...
But why? What was lacking?!
I had used the same materials, the same process, the same comparative quantities as with Scarlet.
What was different?
Was it truly just luck? A random chance of success or failure?
...
No!
There had to be something more—a final spark of power.
Anything...
"Master! I-Is it going to work?" Sapphire asked, her voice trembling as she glowed brighter while I continued working Alchemy on her.
"I-It has to work!" I roared. "Sapphire...! I...! Damn it...!"
Should I sacrifice a piece of my own soul as material? But that could undo all my progress in divinity...
What do I do? Could Armageddon help—no, she’s busy stabilizing the fire with everyone else who can assist.
"...Sapphire."
Scarlet’s voice came from beside me as she manifested once more.
"Despite our differences, we’ve always been there for our master, haven’t we?"
"S-Scarlet?"
"Even though I still hate you, I do appreciate how hard you work. We share the same goal... And honestly, it would be boring if you stayed behind!"
"W-What do you mean— Eh?!"
"Wait, Scarlet?!"
To our shock, Scarlet clawed open a wound in her arm. Metallic gold-and-red blood poured over Sapphire.
At the same time, she tore off one of her horns, sliced away strands of her hair, shed scales, and removed two of her fangs.
"Take this and stop crying! Just get it done already!"
I was stunned, but I didn’t hesitate. Using Synthesis and Forging Skills, I fused these extraordinary materials into Sapphire.
FLAAASH!
"S-Scarlet, you really...! Hah...! Damn it, now I’ll owe you one! This is frustrating, hahaha!"
Sapphire laughed as she began to evolve. She grew stronger and larger. Golden, blue, and red flames enveloped her completely, piercing the ceiling like a towering pillar of light and fire.
Then, from within, I saw it, a tiny spark ignite.
That spark exploded like a miniature supernova, transforming into radiant azure divinity. It carried coldness, the vastness of seas, darkness, the abyss, miasma, and curses, all fused together.
She was the perfect opposite of Scarlet’s divinity.
