After spending most of the night searching the enchanted rock, they were sure they didn't leave a single stone unturned in the entire plateau, yet they couldn't find anything.

"It's fine, we just need to be more thorough. There might be hidden glyphs in the rocks, make sure to check them and call me if you find anything." Uriel explained, trying not to think on the possibility that there might be a set of conditions to for the entrance to be revealed or that he might even be in the wrong place.

[30m53s]

"I can't... I can't lose you." Uriel curled up in the ground, staring at the cold steel of his Magnum revolver, fearing he might lose it as soon as he parted his eyes from it. Uriel bawled his eyes out while thinking on how unfair his situation was. Everything he ever possessed, he earned through either by discipline or pain.

Things were never easy on the slums and more than once he had to skip meals to afford school supplies and even after he became a hunter he had to work hard for every bit of power he earned.

Granted, Water warlock's blessing saved his life in more than one occasion and he may have let loose a bit during that time, but that didn't mean just anyone could have found the mystical dagger that hosted the being that gave him that power in the first time. But then he lost it.

'Why do I have to work hard to become stronger, then even harder just not to lose what I already have?' Uriel thought to himself while venting his emotion in a wordless wail. He knew it was silly for him to cry for an object, but it wasn't the monetary value of losing the Magnum what shook him, it was the realization of how attached he became to his revolver.

It wasn't just an old firearm, it meant so much more to him.

[9m15s]

It was his first find and accompanied him all the way through thin and thick. He learned how to fire it, he learned how to maintain it and he even learned how to clean it just for the sake of it, since every time he stored it back in the museum it would be immediately cleaned and would even repair itself in time.

He was so familiar with his revolver that it now felt like a part of him and losing it would be akin to losing a limb.

"Uriel..." Medusa whispered as she softly shook him.

"I'm fine, I just need some time." He sobbed, ashamed to show his emotions in front of Medusa.

"No, I think I found something over there." Medusa blindly pointed at a soft peak in the distance where she felt a slight anomaly in the flux energy, not realizing because of her blindfold that it was also crowned by a faint light.

"Medusa!" He leaned closer and gave her a kiss on the cheek, then darted towards the small hill he could have sworn wasn't there just a minute ago.

Without wasting a second to compose himself, Uriel darted towards the distant peak leaving a trail of dust in his wake. He walked through bushes and jumped over the rocks in his way with cat-like speed, then realized he wasn't getting any closer. No matter how fast he ran, he wasn't going to make it.

[4m50s]

The feared deadline was coming closer forcing Uriel to activate his Dash skill, though now he channeled all the flux energy he could muster to enhance its effect. The wind in front of Uriel felt like a dense wall that caused pain throughout his entire body yet he didn't stop running.

Instead, he dug his heels on the ground and lowered his center mass using both hands to increase his movement speed determined to reach his target before the time ran out.

[System notice] Reward: Colt SAA Peacemaker added to the museum.

The system informed while the timer still flashed in Uriel's mind [4m48s]

Two seconds, the race that felt almost like an eternity just took him two seconds. A smile appeared on his face when the weight of his feat finally sunk in. By exerting more flux, his Dash skill became more powerful than he could have ever anticipated, though his joy was then cut short by the system's low battery warnings and the Dash skill being forcefully deactivated.

The warnings were bothersome, but nothing could overshadow his excitement after acquiring a new artifact. He quickly entered his museum and headed straight to the new pedestal in the pre apocaliptic era.

[The Peacemaker] This particular 45. Colt used to belong to a young Spanish soldier by the name of Jesus Navarro, who gave it its nickname after rescuing his wife Rosa from the Comanche tribe that kidnapped her. Although familiar to firearms, the Comanche were accustomed to fighting against single shot rifles and this very revolver was the cause of a long lasting truce, hence its name.

It was discovered by the infamous archaeologist Uriel Sage also known as Raider.

[Passive] It will restock ammunition while stored inside the museum.

[Active] The sound of its gunshots causes enemies to sometimes fall into a 'fear' status.

"It's so beautiful...," Uriel gaped at the sight of his new artifact, then turned back to where his magnum was stored and slowly caressed the pedestal. "there's no need to be jealous, you're my first."

Uriel remained inside the museum trying to settle his emotions by admiring his precious artifacts. Each of them had cultural value for one reason or another, but it's true value relied on the stories Uriel shared with them.

He could still remember vividly his shock when his pocket knife disappeared into his trait for the first time, the awkward moment when Medusa thought he was staring at her ass when he actually was inside the museum checking up the Magnum after just acquiring it, his genuine joy and appreciation when Sam gifted him the smartphone, even the lewd magazine had its endearing moments and he took the time to admire his artifacts while he waited for Medusa and Kalos to arrive.

"They sure are taking their sweet time." Uriel muttered while staring at the anatomically correct dolls of the cryptids he previously killed at the souvenir shop where quite a few new models appeared due to his night fight in the barrenlands. A soft whistle of self approbation escaped his lips after glancing at their powerful appearance.

Because of how desperately he fought in the barrenlands he didn't get the chance to take a good look at them at the moment, but now he could calmly study them.

Just as he thought, most of the cryptids he slayed were beast rank, though he was pleased to see a small replica of the bull-like creature in the entity rank shelf. However, one of the cryptids he wanted to see the most didn't show up.

The strange creature with huge hands that almost killed him was nowhere to be found in the entity section where, judging by its power, it should belong. Even more worrying was the fact that it also didn't appear in the monster or beast shelf either.

"Did this shop run out of space or something?" Uriel scratched his chin, but a firm shove on his shoulder let Uriel know the answer to his question would need to wait.

"What are you doing here!?" A commanding voice shouted and snapped Uriel back to reality where he was met with an entire elemental squad pointing their guns at him and holding both Medusa and Kalos prisoners.

"Calm down, we are with the Eurus family." Uriel spat the first lie that came to his mouth in order to gain as much time as he could.

"Do you know this guy?" The squad leader turned to a young man who evidently had a wind related trait.

"I... uh..." He tried to think, but then shook his head. "There's too many people, you don't seriously expect me to know each and everyone."

"Where the heck did they come from? I say we take him with us anyway." Another butted in. judging by the faint cracks on his skin Uriel assumed he was an earth element manipulator.

"Nah, going back to Central Island will be such a pain, we can just ask an Eurus and let them deal with this guy." The leader proposed while looking at the wind element user, though Uriel wanted to avoid bumping into Bella at all costs.

"This isn't necessary, I was just..."

"Silence, even if you are from the Eurus family you can't just roam around like you own this place."

"Come on, don't be so hard on him, he's just a kid. I'd be just as excited to fly around if I could." A mature looking woman added.

"I get how you must feel. Being from the water element family must suck." The man with an earth element trait laughed at her.

"At least we don't look like dry old men all the time. Our skin is silky smooth, see?" She grabbed the collar of her shirt briefly extending the sight under her cleavage which managed to shut the man who was actually younger than he seemed.

"Quit your stupid games, we're wasting time we could be using to find the relics. You three, I'll let you go with a warning, but fly straight back to your island. You hear me?" Prompted by the leader's words the other hunters let Medusa and Kalos go, then the leader shooed them with both hands. "Come on, fly now, unless you can't..."
