"Wha-..." Uriel placed both hands in front of him defensively. "Of course we can fly... Kalos, show them." Uriel directed his gaze at the artificial sky above them feigning innocence.

"I- uh..." Kalos glared at Uriel with hatred after being thrown under the bus like that. While Kalos was fairly certain he could survive the fall, he knew there were nasty creatures dwelling on the shade cast by the floating islands.

The elemental squad was already tightening the grip on their weapons, though Medusa quickly took measures to defuse the situation.

"Uhm, excuse me, we can't fly back."

"Of course you can't, because you're not from the Eurus family!" The leader sneered, keeping a hand up ready to lower it and order his men to open fire.

"No," Medusa shook her head and continued speaking with a soft tone of voice. "during what happened at the city I suffered an injury that left me blind and the serum is taking too long to take effect which left me incapable of flying on my own. That's why I asked my two friends to come with me and they kindly obliged, but I got carried away and we spent all our flux energy.

Please, at least don't punish them for indulging in my whim."

Medusa's tone of voice made it so believable the woman with a water element trait could barely hold back her tears, but then the wind user snapped.

"She can't be from the Eurus family! I would never forget that juicy pair of..."

"Hey! Don't you dare disrespect a lady in front of me!" The woman angrily scolded the young wind element user then continued. "From where we stand things are easy, just make a breeze or something and you'll be clear."

Uriel took this chance to think of anything he could do, but because of his previous race his flux energy reserve was at a bare minimum and none of his artifacts were capable of controlling wind. The closest would be the book of the dead since it did cause a breeze whenever he used it, but it was far too ominous and dangerous to use it as anything other than a last resort.

'What am I thinking? Even if I had a magic wand that could manipulate wind, they would notice it's not a trait.' Uriel gritted his teeth until the soft breeze turned into a gust of wind forcing him to open his eyes in confusion.

"Did I hear correctly? Did you just disrespect my cousin?" Bella Eurus landed right behind the elemental squad, then quickly checked her make up in the mirror before poking from behind the elemental squad to address Uriel.

"Hey, honey! I'm so glad you're fine." She said in a playful tone of voice that made her unnatural hair that would always wave in the air look more funny than ominous for once.

"You..." Uriel clenched his fists.

"Miss Bella, is this your boyfriend!?"

"Why, of course he is. We are couple, right honey?" She winked at Uriel, who took it as a subtle hint to follow her lead.

"Yeah..." Uriel replied awkwardly, trying to endure the pain from the pinch he was receiving on the side.

"Seriously? Another woman?" Medusa hissed tightening the grip on Uriel's flesh and skin.

After Bella identified Medusa and Kalos as her cousins and Uriel as her boyfriend, the elemental squad finally resumed their task of searching for relics in the vast dungeon leaving her to deal with the intruders who claimed to be from her family. Uriel watched as they disappeared, noticing only now that they carried metal detectors and digging equipment instead of weapons.

'We could have killed them.' an intrusive thought appeared in his mind.

"I'm so sorry for how our date ended, I'm truly ashamed of myself." Bella spoke under her breath.

"Date!? What date!? I turn my back for a second and there's another girl around you, what's wrong with you? I can't believe..." Medusa's blabbering turned into a background noise as Uriel spoke.

"I almost died down there."

"I know, I also know I'm entirely to blame. But I was desperate, you were going to leave me after what you did to me, you were so rough you even left a bruise" She blushed as she rubbed the precise spot where the bullet impact landed, then continued with sharp eyes. "wanna see?"

Kalos gasped in anticipation without taking his eyes from the well endowed newcomer, but was left disappointed when Uriel shut her down.

"I don't know what kind of psycho you are, but dating and fighting are two entirely different things and if you try something now..."

"I won't. I'm not interested in the old man's plans, I just took the position to be able to find someone like you. Follow me to the Wind island and I'll explain things in more detail. This place isn't safe for you."

Uriel's group nodded at each other and they followed Bella across the familiar scenery of the second world. Other than their missing island and the lack of tolling at the bridges, Uriel didn't notice anything different, but that only lasted until they reached the Wind island.

Most people went about their day doing chores or conversing which could have painted a pretty boring picture, if not for the fact that most of them hovered a few centimeters over the ground the entire time.

The houses were built in the same Hogan style Uriel taught those in the army, but in the middle of the island a small mansion was built with actual stone bricks and Bella led them directly inside.

"Welcome back, Miss Bella, Oh! Oh! deary me!" Exclaimed the maid that greeted them, then clapped both her hands and a couple more maids showed up. After bowing politely in front of them, they had a similar reaction then rushed back to the kitchen to prepare the meal.

If not for Uriel being absolutely certain he had never seen those maids before, their reaction made him second guess himself as they seemed to recognize him.

"What's up with them?" Uriel asked once he failed to find an explanation, but Bella refused to reply until the elegantly crafted mahogany table was set and the guests were seated. After no more than five minutes, the meal was already being served proving that somehow they had access to goods from the city.

"You're bringing stuff from the outside, why?"

"We can't live like savages and who knows how much time we're going to spend here." Bella shrugged.

Kalos' face soured at the sight of the lavish lifestyle that woman had while thinking on the suffering of his people that not only once, but twice lost their home. And now they were about to be dropped off in a strange city with little hopes of making a decent living without any help.

"Why did you take control of this dungeon? There's plenty of space for everyone and there's also..."

"So, honey, what changed your mind? You obviously came back for me, didn't you?" Bella completely ignored Kalos and leaned forward to Uriel, placing her elbows on the table to rest her head in her wrists while softly tapping on her cheeks.

"What!? You're just going to ignore me like that!?" Kalos fit of anger was soon cut short when the heavy steps of a burly man walking downstairs resounded in the mansion.

"Tate!?" Uriel gasped.

"Yes, Sir!" Tate performed an impeccable salute engraved through years of military discipline, though his appearance caused Medusa to chuckle softly.

Instead of the uniform and combat boots, the towering soldier wore a tiny t shirt that depicted a light blue bunny that stretched so much it almost flattened and with just the salute, Tate's bulging muscles almost tore the shirt into shreds. Yet it was the bunny slippers he wore what actually caused Medusa's break of protocol.

"Forgive me, I didn't mean to laugh." Medusa apologized as her cheeks turned beet red.

"Don't worry, Miss. It is me who has to apologize, please forgive my foolish little sister." He apologized slightly bowing his head.

"There's no need for that, I'm so glad you're back in good health."

"It was only thanks to the first aid you provided, Sir."

"But... I stabbed you." Uriel deviated his sight from the soldier in shame.

"You only did what you needed to. It was only due to my incompetence in keeping my sister in check it was necessary in the first place." Tate took a seat to share the meal with the newcomers and listened intently to Uriel's recount of the recent events without saying a word.

This gave Medusa a chance to ponder about what just happened. She couldn't see Bella, but judging by her voice she painted a picture of a beautiful woman. Her flux signature indicated she was also a strong hunter which reinforced that theory. Even her perfume was lovely and Medusa spiraled down inside her mind.

When Uriel finished explaining the situation to Tate, the soldier grabbed her sister and exited the room to have a private discussion with her, repeating several times that they were guests and free to do whatever they wanted, except for going outside until they came back.

"What was that about you stabbing him?" Kalos asked once the burly man retreated.

"That's none of your business."

"Do you like her?" This time it was Medusa the one who asked a question and Uriel knew better than to give her the same answer.

"She almost killed me!" Uriel replied offended.

"That's not what I asked... but you know what, we're just friends. If you want to pursue her or anyone else, I won't stand in your way," Even after breaking up, Medusa always orbited around Uriel trying to scare off any woman that came too close for comfort, but she finally figured it wasn't necessary. "I love you, Uriel, I really do.

But we already tried to be together and things didn't work between us. I just want you to know, all I want for you is to be happy."

"Does that mean..." Kalos butted in the would be emotional moment, only to receive a low kick behind the table that tilted Kalos' chair to the ground.
