Doted By The Regent King-Chapter 525 You’re really slow in coming
Chapter 525: Chapter 525 You’re really slow in coming
Facing the Big Man’s murderous lunge, Wufu didn’t show a hint of fear. Instead, it stirred her fighting spirit, and she advanced instead of retreating.
She tapped her toe and leapt swiftly towards him, kicking toward his soft abdomen with one leg, while simultaneously slashing his arm with the Butterfly Knife in her hand.
However, it was the cold winter, and the opponent was wearing a thick cotton-padded jacket; the Butterfly Knife only managed to rip through his cotton jacket.
"Overestimating your abilities," the Big Man grunted as she kicked him mid-air. He did a backflip and swung his Golden Big Saber towards Wufu’s head.
Wufu tilted her head to dodge, yet the sharp edge of the blade still severed a small lock of her hair, which floated gently down. If it had been even slightly off-target, she likely would have been split open by him.
Realizing that this Big Man was no ordinary thug and considering that the Big Saber appeared to weigh about twenty to thirty pounds, yet he wielded it with vigorous force, Wufu dared not underestimate him. She twisted her waist and dodged another of his slashes.
The Big Man had missed twice, no, it was the third time, including when Wufu had just leapt out of the cellar.
This tiny girl, who barely had an ounce of flesh on her bones, had dodged his Golden Big Saber three times, which was a downright insult.
Wufu’s evasive maneuvers unquestionably ignited the Big Man’s anger and killing intent. Without hesitation, he wielded even more power, tracing a blade shadow swiftly with his sabre while advancing, the fierce blade Qi slashing towards Wufu’s head.
Wufu bent her body sharply backward, nearly folding her flexible waist into a ninety-degree angle. She did a backward somersault, kicking viciously at the Big Man’s face with both legs.
With this kick, Wufu exerted all her strength, feeling a slight numbness in her legs. Landing from her backflip, she knelt on one knee, resting one hand on her kneecap, and gasped for breath while glaring at the Big Man who had retreated two steps from her kick.
The Big Man was clearly incredulous of Wufu’s strength and, enraged and embarrassed, closed in rapidly, aiming a palm strike at Wufu.
Wufu spat out a mouthful of blood.
Before she could recover, the opponent’s Big Saber was chopping down again.
Wufu’s eyes swept across the tabletop lamp and she blew it out instantly; her body nimbly dodged, and she heard the piercing sound of the Big Saber hacking into the ground.
Without the light, the room plunged into complete darkness, leaving the Big Man disoriented, unable to see what was inside the room.
Meanwhile, Wufu, having snuffed out the lamp, had already hidden under the table, her sight slowly adjusting from light to dark.
When she could see clearly again, the Big Man was standing by the table. Without hesitation, Wufu stabbed and twisted the Butterfly Knife into the Big Man’s thigh before pulling it out.
"Ah! You damn bitch!" The Big Man roared, bringing his saber down onto the table.
Crash.
The table split in half, but Wufu was nowhere to be seen.
The Big Man’s eyes had adjusted to the darkness, and after a moment of hesitation, he spun around.
But it was too late. By the time he turned, a sharp little knife was thrusting toward his throat.
Clang.
The Big Saber fell to the ground, and the Big Man clutched at his neck, staring in disbelief at the young girl silhouetted against the doorway light, as if he were staring at an Asura from Hell.
A warm liquid seeped from between his fingers, and he stumbled backward, collapsing.
Wufu was also exhausted, collapsing onto the floor, tired to death. She had no strength left in her body, and she wondered what kind of Ghost Medicine they had used to knock her out.
There was a noise at the doorway, and Wufu leaped up, facing a man with a somewhat handsome face. Seeing her, he retreated continuously.
Wufu stepped forward steadily, and before she could leap, the man raised his hand and several Flying Needles flew towards her. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
"Damn, hidden weapons, think you’re impressive?" Wufu cursed, arching back, but still, one needle struck her arm, her movements suddenly impeded.
The man didn’t linger for combat and ran towards the courtyard entrance; however, having barely made it out, he stepped back in, raising his hands and dropping to his knees, "Spare my life, hero!"
Wufu glanced over and pulled the needle from her arm, hissing in pain, and cursed, "You sure took your sweet time getting here!"
