Divorce Revenge System: Knowing the Future in Advance-Chapter 1020 - 720: Boat Ride (Part 2)
This part should be kept hidden from prying eyes.
Outside, the sky was blue with white clouds, and the weather was clear. Jiang Nian hummed a tune as he took out the car keys from his pocket and walked ahead.
"Such good weather."
Chen Yunyun wore a baseball cap and walked behind with Wang Yuhe. The two girls chatted together, in good spirits.
"Yeah, we won't have such good luck in a few days."
"Why?" He turned back.
Chen Yunyun silently shifted her gaze, feeling a bit nervous inside, "It will rain around Qingming Festival."
Since the medical exam day, the two of them hadn't talked much. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
With the college entrance exam approaching, she felt more pressure daily. She lacked a sense of security and wanted more.
But she didn't want to impose her troubles on Jiang Nian.
So she could only think about it on her own.
"We'll talk about it when it rains," Jiang Nian replied vaguely, just as he walked out of the alley entrance, and the BMW parked by the roadside flashed its lights.
"Get in the car!"
......
On the overpass, the passenger seat next to Jiang Nian was empty. Both girls sat in the back seat, making him feel a bit regretful.
"Can't one of you come sit next to me?"
Chen Yunyun and Wang Yuhe looked at each other in the back seat, and surprisingly nodded in unison, shaking their heads.
"I don't mind, but Yuhe alone..."
"No way!"
"I'm not sitting next to a fraud, Yunyun let's stay away from him!" Little elementary student holding a grudge.
Jiang Nian: "...."
He drove towards the city, found a lake at a park. Parked and bought tickets, then queued up to board the boat.
On Sundays, there were quite a few people enjoying the duck boats.
Looking across the lake, many families were sailing at a turtle's speed, drifting leisurely on the water.
There were three types of boats: paddle, pedal, and electric, each with a different time and price.
"I want the paddle one!" Wang Yuhe said enthusiastically.
"No, you can't."
"I can!"
"I'm talking about swimming, what do you know?" Jiang Nian was speechless, "Among the three of us, I'm the only one who can swim."
"If you all fall into the water, I'll have to save Chen Yunyun first."
Chen Yunyun: "...."
She already had some fear of water, watching the boat sway made her look even worse. It was almost their turn.
This guy really... knows how to say auspicious words.
"I don't want to fall into the water," she muttered, "Let's just pick the electric one, I'll buy the tickets."
Eighty bucks an hour.
Jiang Nian didn't stop her, Chen Yunyun had money anyway. Once they got tired of playing, he would take them to eat.
"Sure."
Wang Yuhe was not happy, crossing her arms.
"Hm!"
Chen Yunyun went to buy tickets. Jiang Nian had nothing to do, glanced at Wang Yuhe, slightly lowering his gaze.
Ssss~!
"Who's going to drive the boat later?"
"Me, me, me!!!" Wang Yuhe instantly cheered up again, wearing a fisherman's hat.
Her small face was hidden under the brim, making it impossible to see Jiang Nian's eyes.
"When I was little, I drove a pirate ship!"
Soon, Chen Yunyun came back with the tickets. The three of them boarded the boat, which swayed incessantly as they got on.
Chen Yunyun's face turned pale, instinctively looking at Jiang Nian.
"The boat is... rocking!"
"It's okay." Jiang Nian reached out, firmly holding her, "I've got you, just move slowly."
He didn't move like he was a stabilizer. Experienced boat riders know not to run around on the boat together.
Chen Yunyun felt the warmth of his hand, gradually calming down.
"Okay, good."
Wang Yuhe froze in her spot, her complexion also somewhat pale. She was actually scared but forced herself not to cry out.
Only when Jiang Nian was about to sit down did he notice her.
"Captain, what are you doing?"
From the shore, the staff also looked over. Seeing the boat still not leaving, they urged the tourists to start sailing.
"I...." Wang Yuhe's face reddened as she held her breath.
"Come on over."
Jiang Nian chuckled, offering a hand to guide her to the helm before sitting back down next to Chen Yunyun.
"Look at her..... (Zhen Zidan pointing out)
Chen Yunyun pursed her lips, giving him a light pat.
"Stop laughing."
"Laughter does make you younger, she was just scared out of her wits!"
"You are!" Wang Yuhe was so angry, her face flushed, but clumsily steered the boat out.
"I just..... It was because my shoes were slippery!"
"Classic slippery shoes," Jiang Nian laughed, pointing at her, "Not slippery anywhere else, but here they are?"
"You, you, you!!!!" Wang Yuhe fell silent, holding a grudge as she drove the boat.
Listening to the two of them bicker, Chen Yunyun couldn't help but get a slight headache but still wore a faint smile.
She suddenly felt a bit regretful; she shouldn't have asked those questions a couple of days ago.
While she was thinking that, she suddenly felt her hand being held.
The two were sitting side by side, at some point. Jiang Nian nonchalantly held Chen Yunyun's hand, gently kneading it.
He turned his head, squinting at the scenery.
Chen Yunyun's body tensed, her heart racing a round, feeling like rouge colored her face red.
Yuhe is still in front! How could he.....
It felt as if her breath was stuck in her chest. Her heart thudded with sourness spreading unconsciously.
The strong stimulus softened her body gradually, hearing only the wild beating of her heart as someone kneaded it.
In reality, Chen Yunyun's worries were completely unfounded.
Wang Yuhe hadn't noticed at all, happily driving the boat. Although she was sulking before, that dissipated as she drove.
She was immersed in her own world, as if really piloting a large ship sailing the seas.
"Hee-hee!!"
Until Jiang Nian patted her, telling her it was time to switch drivers. Only then did Wang Yuhe reluctantly swap with Jiang Nian.
"Huh?"
"What's..... what's wrong?"
"Yunyun, why is your face so red?"
"Nothing... I'm just a bit afraid of water," Chen Yunyun stammered, "I'm okay now, getting used to it."
......
Just like that, it was four in the afternoon.
The three of them floated on the water for almost an hour. Even after Wang Yuhe got ashore, she was still reluctant to leave.
However, the excitement of shopping soon replaced it.
Jiang Nian didn't shop much, just followed them from a distance. Occasionally, he sat on the street playing on his phone, waiting for them to come to him.
And so, the afternoon passed.
Returning to Zhen Nan, Chen Yunyun also had more smiles on her face. Her gaze at Jiang Nian no longer held awkwardness.
Instead, her eyes sparkled.
Seeing this, Jiang Nian couldn't help but sigh with relief. Thinking that the afternoon wasn't wasted, and worth it.
As they were about to part, the two girls were heading back to the dormitory.
He drove them to the North Gate and got out. The night was dim, figures became blurry from a distance.
"Since you're heading back to the dormitory, I'll leave it here."
"Yeah." Chen Yunyun nodded, then looked up at him, something different in her eyes.
Her face had a smile, both shy and happy.
"Thanks for the hard work this afternoon."
"Nah, it wasn't hard." Jiang Nian waved his hand, thinking she had quite the squeezable hand, and elastic legs too.
"Bye-bye." Wang Yuhe cheerfully waved at him, her jeans enhancing her figure under the streetlight, straight and long.
Though she'd been upset during the trip, after playing around the lake, she had cheered up.
"Yeah, bye-bye."
Jiang Nian also waved, watching the two depart until their figures disappeared into the alley.
"Sigh."
He let out a sigh, ready to drive back to the West Gate. Just as he was about to get in the car, he stopped short.
In the back seat, a paper bag lay quietly.
"Left something behind?"
Jiang Nian opened the back seat door, taking out the paper bag. Just as he was about to look inside, he heard running footsteps.
Turning around, he saw Chen Yunyun jogging back.
"That memory of yours....."
Jiang Nian waved the paper bag, indicating the item wasn't lost, standing still, waiting for her to come.
The next second, Chen Yunyun showed no signs of stopping.
She ran straight into his arms.
Jiang Nian felt her arms wrap tightly around his waist, along with the paper bag, making a crisp sound.
Squeeze gently, until it couldn't be hugged tighter.
