Divine Evolution: Primordial of Imagination-Chapter 49: Infiltration Phase

With the alarm system blarring, and all doors and windows sealed, Lenny watched quietly.

While others panicked, he laid-back on a wall, his arms crossed.

Lenny could connect his vision with X since this was his shadow familiar.

X hid within Pedro’s shadows but Lenny listened to what they spoke and saw what they saw.

Although X could not directly influence the body of Pedro, it was like they were merged together.

Pedro stood proud, his siblings were anxious, unable to think well while scared.

But his twin sister clenched her scythe tightly, the doors remained sealed by Augustus.

No one made any move to unseal the door.

They were in a secure location at the moment, Pedro breathed in deeply "What do you think is happening out there?" He asked.

A Venus youngster shook his head, "I don’t know, this training facility is sealed, we can’t know what’s happening outside until the seal is undone"

"We have to wait until Uncle Augustus solves whatever is happening" He said.

The others nods but Pedro snorts, "We are the future of the Great House Venus, why do we need to be locked in here and protected from danger?"

"We are meant to be the danger, whoever stands against us must be crushed by our might" He growled.

Even his twin sister could feel his blood boiling, the Great House Ares were known to be war mongers.

The Great House Venus were neutral but that doesn’t mean they weren’t ruthless, and scheming.

To be a Great House, one must be a danger to the Regulator’s society.

Pedro von Venus was a true representation of that, he went against the natural known believes of the Great House Venus.

Instead of seeking neutrality, he preferred war.

To crush whatever stands against him without hesitation.

While Pedro paced around, the Venus descendants watched in reticence, they maintained their silence.

General Augustus von Venus had mobilized three squadrons containing Rank 1, Rank 2 and Rank 3 Fallen Regulators.

Each squadron had fifty Rank 1 Fallen Regulators, twenty Rank 2 Fallen Regulators.

And a single Rank 3 Fallen Regulator to lead the search.

Their advanced satelites were actively searching for the one responsible for destroying the barrier.

The infiltrator.

The more they searched, the less they found anything noteworthy, every Fallen Regulator was a suspect.

So they were actively going through the Informations of every Fallen Regulator present in the Association’s headquarters.

To look for any slight loophole they had ignored.

"What is going on Augustus?" A baritone voice resounded through the hall, Augustus seemed to be observing from the control room when a tall figure walked in.

From his looks, one could tell he definitely is not a young man.

A figure who seems to be in his late seventies, yet extremely sturdy and masculine.

His blonde hair fluttered in the wind, and his crimson eyes flickered, he is a Venus descendant.

And a powerful one at that.

The current Director of the Regulator’s Association, Lord Rymera del Venus.

A Rank 7 Fallen Regulator.

His aura caused everyone to bow, they felt fear towards this mighty existential.

But to Augustus, he was excited.

Augustus hurried towards his uncle "Greetings Lord Rymera, I’m glad you are here" He spoke excitedly.

Lord Rymera breathed in deeply, "What is going on Augustus?" He asked once again.

Augustus sighed softly, "Someone has broken down my enchanted barrier, and we received a leak from an anonymous source"

Lord Rymera raised an eyebrow "A leak?" He asked, "What’s the content of that leak?"

Augustus eyebrows furrowed "A noble from the Great House Venus will be assasinated tonight"

"And the Great House Ares co-operates with the Den of Thieves" Augustus reported.

Lord Rymera lingered for a second, "Den of Thieves huh?" He sighed deeply, "They’re really making a move now of all times"

"Is the thief presence confirmed?" He asked.

Augustus nods, "Yes" He smiled, "The Evernight Police Command sent the reports to us, a Detective named Carlow is currently working on the case"

"It’s confirmed that four Fallen Regulators went mad and killed their partners, when autopsy was concluded"

"It was known that the deceased Fallen Regulators all lost their Fallen Runes"

Lord Rymera chuckled softly, "There really is a thief in Evernight City, when did they get in?"

"How many sleeper cells do they have currently hidden in our homes?" He clenched his fist tightly.

His eyes flickered with uncertainty "I’ll leave you to command the Legate if need be"

"But for now, focus on countering that thief on a smaller scale" Lord Rymera turned to leave the control room.

He spoke, "I’ll be watching your progress, Augustus....."

"Don’t disappoint me" He stated.

Inside the dome shaped glass building, a middle-aged man was dressed in his regular black uniform.

A Rank 2 Fallen Regulator in charge of screening the present Fallen Regulators locked in the headquarters.

Ordered to submit the recorded reports to the control room, he was currently in the underground world of the Association.

He walked down the hallway stretched out before him, his eyes glued to the iPad he held.

He greeted every Fallen Regulator he came across, with an upright and indifferent expression.

After a few minutes, he arrived at his destination.

But it wasn’t the control room, it was somewhere else in the underground world.

The training facility!

His lips curled faintly "Quite the quick reaction" He chuckled softly, his voice etched with femininity.

Bringing forth a both familiar and unfamiliar voice..

He sighed deeply, "Its quite sad that they really underestimates me, do they think I have not the means to break in?" He asked.

His eyes flickered, "Its sad to know this body is useless, it would be possible if it was my main body, this avatar can’t do much"

"And I still need it to stay alive, it will be needed to sabotage the plans of the descendants of Venus"

"And the Association as a whole" He sighed.

He took his leave, heading towards the control room but not without leaving a mark carved on the walls close to the sealed door.
