Diary of a Dead Wizard-Chapter 620: The Strange Girl
"Are you the knight who came to save me?"
The little girl who looked no more than five or six years old hugged Saul's neck tightly, hanging with him outside the third-floor balcony.
Saul supported himself with one arm on the edge of the balcony floor, waited a moment, then exerted slight force to lift his body up with one arm.
The room was now completely empty.
Saul carried the little girl back into the room.
"Do you need someone to save you?"
Only then did Saul answer the little girl's question.
The little girl giggled: "I don't need saving, but I'm very bored and need a toy, or several more."
As she spoke, she raised her hand to press on Saul's head: "Now I command you to become my guardian knight."
Saul directly removed the little girl's hand from his head and said helplessly: "I'm a wizard, not a knight."
The little girl opened her mouth wide in an "O" shape.
"Why don't you listen to me?"
Hearing this, Saul asked back: "Why should I listen to you? Do other people necessarily listen to you?" fгeewebnovёl.com
The little girl said righteously: "Of course, everyone here must listen to me!"
She wrinkled her small nose: "You're not a knight, you're a bad person!"
As if realizing Saul's difference, the little girl suddenly leaned back forcefully while opening her mouth wide, her scarlet tongue shooting toward Saul's face like an arrow.
However, a black tentacle appeared in front of Saul at an even faster speed, directly wrapping around the girl's tongue, then yanking hard.
"Snap!"
A bloody tongue fell to the ground.
Both Saul and the little girl froze almost simultaneously.
"Ahhhhh!!!"
Even without her tongue, the little girl still let out piercing screams that nearly burst Saul's eardrums.
Before Saul could give an order, Little Algae went up and performed a death coil, wrapping the girl from head to toe into a cocoon.
Even her eyes were sealed tightly.
However, the screaming didn't stop.
"Ahhh!!!"
"Ahhhhhhh!!!"
Saul looked down and was shocked to discover that the continuous, piercing screams were actually coming from the tongue on the ground.
That severed red tongue had somehow grown a mouth.
Not only that, as the screaming continued, it also grew a pair of eyes.
At this point, the screaming had attracted people from outside.
Saul casually grabbed a cushion from the nearby four-poster bed with hanging curtains, threw it on the tongue, then took Little Algae and the girl bound like an earthworm and jumped outside to the balcony again.
Then he took out the Eye of Banishment from his storage device and pressed it directly onto his index finger.
His index finger quietly extended beyond the balcony to observe the situation inside the room.
He saw a group of people roughly burst through the door.
But these people didn't look like real humans.
Just like what Saul had secretly observed before, those people were just lumps of meat paste molded into little figures.
Like children unskilled at clay modeling, randomly kneading spheres and casually pressing them onto flat pieces, then sticking four soft, drooping strips at the four corners.
Thus, a person was completed.
Yet these clay figures that looked nothing like humans seemed to move and speak like real people.
"Madam! Madam!"
"What happened?"
"Madam has disappeared."
The cushion on the ground suddenly trembled, then a hand eerily extended from the narrow gap.
Then another, followed by legs.
The proportions were like those of a tall, slender normal woman.
Then the cushion was lifted, revealing the person underneath.
It was still that tongue.
However, it had transformed from a bleeding severed tongue into a tongue with eyes, nose, mouth, and complete limbs.
The limbs growing from the tongue groped around, supporting itself up.
As it gradually rose from the ground, the middle tongue part also rapidly changed, slowly growing a torso, while the part with facial features gradually protruded, finally becoming a woman's head.
The tongue, now fully transformed into human form, wore a black tailcoat, her face full of anger, her flat chest constantly heaving.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack! All on alert!"
She stepped in black leather shoes, pushed through the surrounding clay people, and rushed out of the room.
Afterward, her loud shouts echoed through the corridor.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack! Someone has broken into the manor!"
The banquet in the first-floor hall was completely disrupted!
After the woman in the tailcoat left, the clay people searched the room thoroughly. However, they obviously had no brains and didn't discover Saul clinging under the balcony.
After searching once and finding nothing, these clay people rushed out of the room in chaos to look elsewhere for the thief who had stolen their madam.
Then Saul jumped back onto the balcony.
The little girl was writhing on the ground.
"Little Algae, slowly uncover her eyes. I have questions for her."
Only then did Little Algae reluctantly and slowly release the little girl's head, revealing those blinking large eyes.
Somewhat unexpectedly, the little girl looked at Saul without anger, instead showing the kind of eyes one has when seeing candy.
Seeing that the little girl seemed capable of communication, Saul relaxed slightly: "I'll ask you a few questions. If you can answer properly, blink your eyes. If you still want to scream and bring those brainless people in, I'll tie you up again and never let you out."
The little girl immediately began frantically blinking.
Saul had Little Algae slowly release the girl.
The girl was very obedient and indeed didn't shout. She even said to Saul: "You're really fun! I've decided not to make you listen to me anymore. The things you say and do are much more interesting than what I arrange!"
‘Is this girl a masochist?’
Saul didn't want to deal with her strange character settings. This creature whose tongue could split and create another woman when severed was definitely a creation of this place's rules.
There was no point worrying about her character design.
"I'm asking if you know what a Storm Eye is?"
The girl asked back: "What's a Storm Eye? Is it a toy?"
She didn't seem to be lying.
"It's an existence containing powerful force."
"Powerful? Is it fun?"
Could it be intentional?
"Or when did you first appear in this manor?"
This time the little girl's expression changed slightly, looking less excited.
"I've always been here. I'm the master of this place!"
Just when Saul thought the little girl was speaking more seriously, he saw her continue earnestly: "You're all my toys and servants!"
She was talking nonsense again.
Saul decided to try one last question. If it still didn't work, he'd have to take this obviously pollution-affected creature and search around.
"If you're really the master of this manor and have always stayed here, then you must know when this manor's rules changed, right? What caused the abnormal influence somewhere that made this place, or rather, made you become what you are now?"
Saul had originally thought that if the girl still said she didn't know, he'd prepare to take her and run.
But the girl answered with excitement: "I know this too! A while ago, I made a wish, and then a toy suddenly appeared on the ground."
Finally, a decent answer.
Saul immediately followed up: "Where did that toy appear? Is it still there?"
"The toy appeared in my laboratory, and it's now placed on my throne! In my tower overlooking the toys!"
