Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf-Chapter 41: Interrogating a Demon

The room was one of the many rooms built in the basement of this entire building which Meggie owned.

It looked like an interrogation room with a thick metal door that had runic circles drawn on it.

The room was designed to imprison supernaturals, even Adrian wasn’t certain he could break through the thick door.

The demon took her true form once inside, the venom had weakened her too much and she couldn’t maintain her transformation.

She looked at Adrian with pleading eyes hoping he would cure the venom from her system but Adrain wouldn’t trust a demon.

Not to mention he felt an overwhelming hatred for her kind, had he not needed information he would’ve killed her by now.

He sat down on a chair and glared at the demon sprawling on the floor. Meggie sat next to him.

" Now then, lets us begin, three weeks ago three demons came to the mortal world and killed a woman and kidnapped her daughter, what to you know of that?"

Meggie asked and the demon looked at her with confusion as if she didn’t know what she was talking about but Adrain knew she knew.

After all she did mention Vaskula when she saw his emotions meaning she knew who he was.

" Okay, lets start over." She pulled out her grimoire and started chanting, in her weakened state the demon couldn’t resist.

She screamed in agony and smoke rose from her body, her skin and snake scales started flaking like ash.

Meggie stopped chanting, " Now then, are you willing to talk?" She asked in a cold voice making the demon shiver.

She nodded rapidly, not to mention the agonising pain she was under, the threat of death looming over her made it hard for her to resist.

" Three weeks ago, a demon named Vaskula came to my house, he came with two other demons, who are they?" Adrian asked.

His voice was so cold the demon felt the temperature in the room drop, to her Adrian was many times more terrifying than the witch.

" I’ve been in that house for centuries, I don’t know much about what’s happening in hell but I did hear rumours.

I can’t be certain but I think the demons you speak of are lady Valakan and the lord Abarog, they are the ones who usually worked with lord Vaskula.

In fact lord Vaskula and lady Valakan serve as lord Abarog’s subordinates." The demon spoke fast as if afraid she won’t be able to give the information on time.

She was right, had she delayed any longer Adrain would’ve killed her without a second thought, he was already in a bad mood and losing his patience.

" Describe them." He ordered and the demon described the appearances of the three demons.

While their appearances differed slightly from the ones he saw, he understood it was because they were in the mortal world but it was them.

" Those two demons took a girl, do you know what happened to her?" He asked, the demon could sense the anxiety on him.

As a demon she was very sensitive to negative emotions and knew that giving the wrong answer here would get her killed.

But she also couldn’t lie, just thinking about lying made her heart freeze with dread as if these two could see through her lies.

She was right, Adrian had an ability to see when people are lying, it wasn’t a very powerful ability and can be tricked but it still worked.

Meggie on the other hand also had a magic spell that allows her to tell when people are lying and she had already cast it.

It was even more more powerful than Adrian’s ability so the demon didn’t have a chance of getting away with a lie.

So she told the truth, " I..I don’t know, I only heard whispers of hell, glimpses of shaking information that he’ll transmit to all demons.

The death of a demon is a major thing, especially a named demon so even I knew that but beyond that, I know nothing."

After saying that she watched the two of them anxiously, Adrian and Meggie looked at each other with disappointed faces.

" Fine, now answer my question, around 23 years ago I think, a demon stole something from me, it looked like this."

She cast a spell that projected an image into the air, the image was that of a crystal orb of swirling energy.

" That thing is very important to me, do you know which demon took it?" She asked and the demon didn’t answer.

Meggie sighed, a low rank nameless demon that had been on earth for centuries would naturally not know anything.

Adrian stood up and walked towards it and the demon retreated but she was slow and the room was small.

His eyes were cold, he looked at her like she was worthless garbage she knew he was going to kill her.

Her fear made her panic, with how weakened she was, she couldn’t even fight back, none of her abilities worked.

She didn’t understand why this boy had venom so potent even against demons, if the older rulers of hell found out, they would hunt him down at all cost.

However none of that had anything to do with her, right now all she wanted was to survive.

She watched as he pulled back his arm and his claws came out, those claws also had the power to suppress her.

He aimed for her heart and attacked, his arm shot out like an arrow released from a bow, the world slowed down for her.

Was she really going to die? Her a demon that had loved for nearly 2 000 years was going to die to a child no more than 18 years old.

She had ambitions too, she was wanted to rise and earn a name for herself, to become one of the demons worshipped by others.

She couldn’t die like this and so she did the only thing she could do in this situation.

" PLEASE DON’T KILL ME." She begged and it seemed to have worked, the claws aiming for her heart stopped a few centimetres from her chest.

" Why?" The boy asked in a cold voice devoid of any emotions. " Why shouldn’t i kill you? You are if no use to me."

His words made her think, she wrecked her brain trying to think of a way to be of use and as low ranked demon.

She was no stranger to sucking up to others, to even come up to earth she had to reduce herself to being a sexual slave of a higher ranked demon for 200 years but it was worth it.

Being here allowed her to consume the fears and souls of so many humans she was able to level up to level 2.

But she doubted her sexual appeal would work here, after all she was not a succubus and couldn’t entice humans or other races.

Then an idea came to her, she already knew what they wanted, if she could offer that then won’t they let her go?

"I...I could find out where the things you want are if you let me return to hell."
