Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf-Chapter 40: Defeated Demon

Adrian transformed back into his normal form, the wolf form seem to drain a lot of energy.

The demon fell on the floor, its body was losing a lot of strength with each passing moment.

For the first in its long existence it felt true fear and it shamelessly begged him for mercy.

What was the point of pride in the face of annihilation, the only reason demons appeared prideful to begin with was because they couldn’t be killed.

Adrian crouched down and smiled at her, " Don’t worry, I’m not going to kill you, not yet but if you live or die will depend entirely on how useful you are."

The demon saw a glimmer of hope, as long as it could prove useful, it would survive and live another day.

Adrian dragged its serpentine body outside, when the family saw it they were so scared they almost bolted away.

It was only after Meggie made them calm down that they stopped screaming. Meggie approached Adrian.

He tried to get out but collided with an invisible barrier. " Shit." He cursed, he had forgotten he was part demon and the hexes worked on him too.

" Oh right, sorry." Meggie apologised and removed them allowing him to get out. He dragged the demon to the car and told it to take a smaller form.

Demons were natural shape shifters, it took the form of a rat and he shoved it in the boot of the car.

Then turned towards the family and Meggie, " What do we do with them? Do we erase their memories of this?" He asked causing that family thing flinch.

" That should be their choice." Meggie replied, she knew if this was the S.C.A, they would’ve erased the family’s memories without question.

They were very dedicated to Keeping the supernatural world hidden from the public at all cost.

They were even willing to kill normal humans who discovered the truth if their memories couldn’t be erased in time.

But Meggie was different, she believed it should be people’s choice to know the truth or not.

Both of them looked at the family who was hugging each other tightly and asked. Francine and Danny looked at each other.

Then they looked at their children and their eyes grew strong with resolve. They could see the fear in their children.

" Can you take this pain away from the kids? I can’t bear seeing them live with this terrible experience." Danny replied.

" What about the two of you?" Meggie asked and the couple looked at each other.

" It’s okay, we want to know, if we had known we could’ve avoided all of this, we don’t want to be caught off guard again."

Meggie nodded, " If that is your decision then so be it, remember though, try to keep the fact that you know of the supernatural a secret.

If a certain organisation finds out, they could erase your memories of worse kill you and your entire family."

That terrified them, Adrian took a step forward and his eyes turned silver, he looked at Eve and her brother and was about to use compulsion when Eve closed her eyes and turned away.

" Please don’t, I don’t want to forget." Adrian stopped and looked at Meggie, she nodded and he stepped back.

Eve’s parents tried to talk to her to convince her to allow them to erase these memories but she refused.

Meggie smiled and raised her hand shutting them up, " Let her keep her memories, besides this child holds a gift, it would be a pity to snuff it out."

Meggie could sense that Eve had the gift of a medium, she could sense and communicate with spirits.

This didn’t make her a mage or Espara, she just had a strong connection with spirits allowing her to commune with them.

Unfortunately there was no known way to train this gift but she was certain after an encounter and exposure to demonic energy, it will grow.

Adrian erased little Cane’s memories, then erased the memories of his and Meggie’s face from their minds.

While they could keep the knowledge of the supernatural, Meggie thought it was too dangerous to have them know their faces.

After that, they drove off and left. A few minutes after they left, another car showed up and out came a short woman dressed in a very short dress and a buff looking tall guy.

The moment those two showed up, the couple and their daughter immediately remembered Meggie’s words.

Eve suddenly heard whispers, they were faint but they were there, they whispered of danger.

The spirits were warning her of these two and she listened. Her parents were smart and knew these two were trouble.

They stood defensively in front of their children and Danny stood forward, he faced the giant man in front of him without fear.

After what they had seen, no matter how large a human was, they couldn’t scare him.

The woman with a short tight skirt stood forward and fixed her glasses. " Greetings Biden family.

May I ask why you’re standing outside in the middle of the night?" Nancy asked and watched their reactions.

The man in front of her looked confused, he seemed to be thinking about something then looked at her.

" Getting fresh air? There are rats in our house." His voice didn’t sound convinced as if he was told to say this but he didn’t believe it.

This was a sign of a low level mind control, plebian vampire’s compulsion was at this level.

There were also witch spells that could achieve the same thing. Nancy frowned because she couldn’t tell if this man was faking it not.

She looked at the others and they all looked just as confused. Her focus was the little kid, kids were terrible liars.

If anybody could reveal any fault it would be him but his eyes held confusion just like the others.

She was convinced now that they had their memories erased. She smiled, then turned around and left.

The Biden family watched them drive off and sighed with relief. They didn’t trust their acting skills.

Fortunately bad acting was good in this case, they went inside the house. tomorrow they will work on protection from demons and ghosts.

Adrian and Meggie dragged the demon into the basement and locked it up. The room was surrounded with hexes to prevent it from escaping.

" Now then, welly need you to answer a few questions, you can do that can you not?" Meggie asked with a smile that terrified the demon.

It was wondering if it was still demon here or these two were.
