Dawn of light - Reincarnated as a villain-Chapter 32: Sinner’s Emotions
Chapter 32 - Sinner's Emotions
As Zephyx finished drinking Sylvia's blood, he slowly pulled his fangs out of her neck. A small stream of red trickled down her white skin, but the puncture wounds closed almost immediately due to her regeneration.
Sylvia let out a soft sigh, her cheeks flushed. Her gray eyes, shimmering with concern, locked onto Zephyx's. "Do you feel better now, Zephyx?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Zephyx wiped the remaining blood from his lips with the back of his hand, his piercing blue eyes meeting Sylvia's gaze. The strength was returning to his limbs, and the hollow ache that had consumed him began to subside.
"Yeah," he replied, his voice steady and sharp. "I'm fine now. Thanks."
Sylvia's worried face relaxed, but there was still a hint of concern in her eyes. She tilted her head slightly, her pink hair falling over her shoulder. "You shouldn't push yourself like that," she said gently, though there was an undercurrent of firmness to her voice. "What if I wasn't here? What if you..."
"I didn't die, did I?" Zephyx interrupted, his tone calm but edged with exhaustion. "And I won't. Not until I finish what I started."
Sylvia bit her lip, no doubt wanting to argue, but she held her tongue. Instead, she sat down next to him, her hand gliding across his as if seeking comfort.
Zephyx's eyes turned to his system panel, his attention drawn to the data shown before him.

Zephyx's eyes narrowed as he focused on his evolved trait, curiosity bubbling within him. With a thought, he opened the description.
---
[Sinner's Emotions: An evolution of the [Psycho] trait, unlocking the depths of human emotions and the sins that dwell within. This trait allows the user to harness the power of each of the seven deadly sins, gaining unique abilities and enhancing their emotional and mental capacity.
1. At every tier, the host will unlock one sin, and at Tier-5, two sins can be unlocked. The host will gain one ability for each sin unlocked.]
---
Reading the text, Zephyx couldn't help but smile. The potential of the trait was mind-boggling, a real upgrade of the Psycho trait to something much more lethal and practical.
But a consideration disturbed him. "If my emotions are intensified for the first sin. what if it's Lust? What if I begin getting a hard every time I see an attractive woman?" The prospect caused him to wince for a moment.
After a moment of deliberation, he decided to unlock both sins available to him.
As he gave the mental command, the system materialized in front of him.
---
[You have unlocked your first sin: Envy.]
[You have unlocked your second sin: Pride.]
---
Zephyx braced himself for something dramatic to occur, but nothing happened. He sighed in relief as the tension in his body dissipated.
"Are you all right?" Sylvia asked, observing him closely.
"Yeah, I'm just contemplating something," he responded casually.
He refocused on the system, opening the Abilities tab to examine what new abilities he possessed.
---
[Fading Glory (Envy): The user creates an area where all external enhancements (buffs, enchantments, etc.) on enemies are nullified. Stronger buffs are more difficult to suppress but are weakened nonetheless.]
[Unyielding Majesty (Pride): The user radiates an aura of dominance, making weaker enemies unable to attack or even approach them. Those who resist feel overwhelming pressure, reducing their combat effectiveness.]
---
A grin crept onto Zephyx's face as he read through the descriptions. With Fading Glory and Unyielding Majesty, he can easily turn the battle around.
Sylvia saw the slight grin and cocked her head. "What are you smiling at? Something good happened? And why have you been gazing at nothing for so long
"I was just thinking about what we should do after this," he lied without hesitation, his face betraying no emotion.
Though he trusted Sylvia implicitly, thanks to the Eternal Bond skill that ensured her loyalty, Zephyx still didn't want to reveal everything to anyone—not even her.
