Date a Witch: Reborn as the Witch of Lust! (GL)-Chapter 88: ’I came, As I Promised’
Chapter 88: ’I came, As I Promised’
The elf cast a glance at Mel, her eyes curving with slight delight.
She studied the blushing girl with clinical precision, then flicked a look toward the dazed Lila and the smirking Rosana beside her.
Her tongue brushed against her teeth as her fingers danced in the air, already imagining the humiliation she would gift to Mel tonight after today’s chore.
Mel’s voice rang out, light and feigned-casual. "Hi, Senior Aria!"
"Hi Mel!" She smiled at Mel, adjusting the round glasses on her ears. "Have a good sleep last night?"
Mel’s lips trembled, pressing together as she stammered. "Ye-yes, of course!"
’Thanks to you, Partner...’
Catching Mel’s brief, sneaky pout, the elf’s face beamed. "I’m glad! We’ll be landing shortly, so you need all the energy you can have from your rest!"
[ Alternatively, Mel, you can offer yourself fully to me at night. ]
[ I promise to taste you till you faint in pleasures, my little Witch. ]
Mel’s heated gaze flickered between the elf’s warm eyes and the provocative voice emanating from the panel.
The Witch clutched at her skirt, tugging it down in a vain attempt to hide the devilish mischief she’d wrought upon herself.
The wetness threatened to pool between her ’empty’ thighs, her breaths hitching before she heard from Lila:
"Mel?"
Startled, Mel turned to Lila. "Ah... It’s nothing."
"I haven’t asked anything though..."
As Lila squinted at Mel with confusion, Mel chuckled in exhaustion. "Uh-right. Sorry, I must not have woken up yet."
Lila blinked, her Emerald eyes glittering with innocence, before shaking her head. "No, it’s alright. I..."
She hung her head with a faint whisper. "I just dislike how you stare at the senior for so long. Please give some attention to me as well."
"Oh, Lila..."
Mel’s expression softened, her doting voice lingered as she cupped her Lila’s cheek.
Mel felt warmth as she caressed Lila, a sudden edge of clarity sharpening her mind through the haze of desire as she leaned in.
Her lips curled to a tender smile, before pressing her lips onto hers, pausing to taste the sweetness of Lila’s lips.
As she pulled back, her eyes locked with Lila’s; those emerald depths, once innocent, now tinged with a faint, simmering lust.
"Good enough attention?" Mel breathed out.
"Mm..." Lila nodded, her strength a little lacking in her daze.
She glanced back at the two beside them; Rosana’s stare was still pinned on the elf with suspicion, while the elf’s face hardened into an impassive, icy mask.
Her heart glimmered with a slight delight, almost teasing her partner before the elf’s lips curled to a ’kind smile’.
[ Now you make me jealous again. I’ll repay in full soon, little Witch. ]
Mel shuddered at the declaration, her jaws dropping as the emptiness in her thighs wetted further, clinging stickily between her thighs.
As the Elf admired how Mel shuffled with discomfort, she eyed Rosana, who was frowning at her.
"Something the matter?" Aria tilted her head, her gaze unwavering under the Heiress’s steady stare.
The Heiress crossed her arms, examining the neutral expression from Aria, comparing it to those ’no-good-nobles’ who put on a false mask.
Worse, compared to others, the elf’s presence was too... quiet.
Literally no scent. No trace of emotion. Not even a flicker of breath.
Is she really human?
The Expert ranked Dragoness narrowed her eyes, her contemplative mind brewing assumptions regarding the elf.
In the end, she shrugged. "Nothing much. Just that it’s been a while since someone sneaked up on me without me noticing."
At the very least, she could sense the elf’s goodwill towards Mel was genuine.
That alone made her curious, but she also put aside the suspicion for a little.
"I humbly accept the Heiress’s praise that I did not deserve."
As the flushed Mel watched the disguised Saintess bow her head, she noticed the mechanical weight behind the gesture.
Her blush slightly subsided, replaced by a flash of intrigue for her Partner’s ’masked’ humility.
"That aside," the elf’s lips curled up mischievously. "Please be ready yourself. We shall gather outside right about now."
As the elf finished her words, she glanced at Mel, sharp and knowing.
[ Remember those Knight Rosana mentioned? The ones that challenged her in the past, Mel? ]
Tilting her head, Mel buried her cheek idly onto Lila’s neck, the smoothness of her skin shifting back her focus.
’I do! Something about challenging her for a moment of fame, right?’
[ Indeed. Four of them defected to the Royal Armies in shame right after their defeats. ]
The elf held her lips, as if to hold back a mocking chuckle.
[ And now, two of them are the spies I mentioned. Not exactly a humorous sequence of events, don’t you agree? ] frёeweɓηovel_coɱ
Mel’s brows raised at the Saintess’s sudden reveal, a spark of annoyance surging in a heartbeat.
Despite their initial doubt, the Northern People doted on Rosana, admiring the Heiress for casting aside all the doubts as she first began her { Rite of Inheritance }.
Which only made the defectors’ wounds cut deeper. They clung stubbornly to their hatred, bitter in their conviction.
Because to them, she was still the "Fake Heiress"—the undeserving child of the Dragoness Duchess.
As Mel paused over to ponder on such words, the exit of <Memorial Whale> opened.
Light finally seeped into the starlit blue hall, as the students and the knights’ gazes gathered at Samantha, now waving for others to leave with her.
[ Well, we’ll speak more till then. ]
Mel nodded in agreement before pulling Lila towards the queue arranged by the teacher.
As Rosana and Aria followed them, she watched as the students piled on into small groups, chattering excitedly about their destination.
The Knights merely leaned against the walls, their watchful gaze sweeping over the scenes, before glossing over a white-hooded-
Mel blinked, a strained smile tugging at her lips while Lila held onto her hand tightly.
Glancing over Rosana’s shoulder, a white-hooded figure sat at the counter, a cup of green tea settling at the table.
Her index and thumb played at the cup’s edges, grey eyes wandering at the green liquid’s ripples.
The Witch’s jaw hung loosely, words failing to form as the Knights, students, Rosana, and even Samantha remained unaware of Wrath’s presence.
The figure lifted the cup and drank, then shot Mel a piercing look.
Wrath blinked, her gaze sliding away awkwardly before she waved a hand, mouthing her words silently.
I came, as I promised.
Mel’s eyes widened, then a chuckle escaped her lips. Showoff.
"Mel?"
Aria called out to her from behind, as the crowds drifted lazily out from the Whale.
Glimpsing at the Saintess’s concerned glance, a mischievous smile tugged at her lips before she glancing back. "It’s nothing."
"Ah..."
The Saintess’s cold look returned when Mel refused to face her, instead darting her gaze between the oblivious Lila and Rosana.
Then, those indifferent eyes swirled and settled on Wrath.
Wrath’s glance met hers, unflinching and sharp.
Two figures of power, one disguised, the other hidden, stared at each other amid the shifting crowds, vigilant knights standing like silent sentinels as whispers wove through the tense air between them.
The Saintess then turned away first, unbothered.
Her Mel first. Whatever happened between me and that traitor shall be settled aside for now.
"Oh."
The Dragoness raised a brow of interest, her nose twitching against the air.
She eyed the elf behind her, her neutral smile still firmly fixed.
Unlike earlier, a faint, ominous smell lingered around the suspicious elf.
