Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!-Chapter 241: Returning to School and Meeting Fans
Mia Sutton has spent the last half month this way, not even participating in any activities. Her daily routine was just reading and doing practice questions, over and over.
She feels like throwing up when she sees those questions now—it’s terrifying. Thankfully, time quickly flew by, and it was only a few days before the semester began.
In early September, Aethelgard was about to start the new semester. Mia got up early that day, washed up, applied a light makeup, and went to the school.
Of course, as a public figure, sunglasses and a mask were essential when going out.
After getting ready, the man next to her changed his shoes, car keys in hand: "Let’s go, I’ll give you a ride."
Mia hesitated for a moment and said, "Mr. Sterling, if you get recognized... what would we do?"
Given Jensen Sterling’s celebrity status, such a thing wasn’t impossible.
"It’s okay, I’ll stay in the car and won’t get out."
Finally, the two got in the car and headed to Aethelgard.
Aethelgard is one of the top-ranked universities in the country. Although there were a few days before the semester officially began, many students had already returned to the school.
Along the campus paths, there were students coming and going. Some were pulling suitcases, probably just arriving; others were rushing through the campus with backpacks on; while some couples walked hand in hand, happily strolling down the campus paths.
Aethelgard’s campus was large, with great facilities and beautiful landscaping, befitting a prestigious university with over a hundred years of history.
After the car drove in, Mia turned her head to the person next to her and said, "Mr. Sterling, I’ll head off now." After saying this, Mia put on a mask but not her sunglasses.
After all, wearing sunglasses on campus doesn’t reduce your presence; in fact, it often increases your chances of being noticed.
A celebrity wearing sunglasses on campus would definitely get recognized in less than three minutes.
So, Mia just wore a mask.
Jensen Sterling glanced at the girl beside him, adjusting Mia’s mask with a light touch, saying calmly, "Alright, go." 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
...
As Mia walked through the campus with her bag on her back, she felt her ears were a bit warm, and even the wind couldn’t dispel that warmth.
In the car, Jensen watched the person on the road in the distance, touched his earlobe, and after a moment, a soft chuckle escaped his throat, slowly dissipating into the air.
...
Mia was gradually captivated by her surroundings as she walked down the campus paths, forgetting about what had just happened.
Walking among a group of college students, it felt like the campus vibe had returned to her in an instant. Mia was walking neither too fast nor too slow.
With her naturally appealing features, even with a mask, her aura was unmistakable, and people passing by occasionally glanced back at Mia.
Gradually, softly spoken discussions could be heard behind Mia, as several girls looked at the person who had just passed by.
With surprise and hesitation in their eyes, one covered her mouth and whispered, "Wasn’t that just Mia Sutton?"
The person next to her asked, "Who?"
The girl pointed to the person who had just walked by, "That one."
The person next to her hesitated for a moment and then slowly said, "The back does look a bit like her. Did you see her face?"
"No, she was wearing a mask. I only saw her eyes, but they really look alike."
The girl glanced at the figure in the distance again, then excitedly said, "No, not just the eyes; the build and height look alike, the back... it can’t be, right?"
After finishing, she quickly grabbed her companion and jogged to catch up.
They had liked Mia Sutton for a long time, especially her performances with traditional Chinese style.
While Mia was walking, someone lightly patted her shoulder. She turned around instinctively and saw two girls.
The girls, dressed in youthful attire, almost screamed in excitement when Mia turned around, with stars practically sparkling in their eyes.
From their expressions, Mia knew she had been recognized. She raised her hand to her mouth and gestured for silence.
"Keep it down, okay? Don’t let others find out."
The two girls nodded frantically, even covering their mouths with their hands, indicating they absolutely wouldn’t shout.
After a moment, their excitement calmed a little, and one of the girls asked, "Mia, could you give me an autograph? I am your loyal fan, and I absolutely adore your performances, especially the ones with traditional Chinese themes."
Despite wearing a mask, Mia’s eyes were smiling, like pretty crescent moons, twinkling brightly.
Being an artist, it brought Mia great joy to be loved by others, especially when her performances conveyed something understood and liked by others—it’s a happiness beyond words.
Mia happily signed autographs for them, even drawing a little heart.
The two classmates were even more thrilled when they received it. They not only met Mia Sutton but also got her autograph.
Ahhhh, it was really so exciting!
"Mia, why are you here? Is there some event?" one girl asked curiously.
As one of the top universities in the country, Aethelgard often had filming crews on-site, but judging by Mia’s appearance, it didn’t seem like there was an event.
If it were for an event, Mia wouldn’t be strolling through Aethelgard’s campus alone; there would be an entire team with her.
"I’m a student at Aethelgard," Mia said with a smile.
The girl was suddenly surprised, "You’re a student here? How come we never heard about it before?"
This reaction was exactly how she imagined people would react upon finding out she was still a student.
Mia: "..."
She had never been to school, so of course, they hadn’t heard about it.
Hearing Mia say she’s a student here, the girl asked again, "So Mia, what’s your major?"
"Chinese Language and Literature," Mia replied.
The girl was instantly excited, "We’re the same, we’re in Chinese Language and Literature too! We’re in the same major!"
They really didn’t expect that Mia was in the same major as them, and Mia was surprised to meet fans who were in her major too.
After chatting for a bit, Mia discovered not only were they in the same major, they were in the same grade, though technically Mia was a year above them. But since she had taken a break from school, she naturally ended up with them.
"Mia, does that mean you’ll be back for classes soon?" They thought they might often see their idol.
Mia shook her head, "No, I’m just here to take care of some things today."
The two girls made an ’oh’ sound, understanding. After all, as an artist, with so many activities, it was normal not to be always at school.
"So, Mia, where are you headed now? We could show you the way."
