Chapter 240: Chapter 240: Mia Studying Diligently

Mia Sutton: "Can I come here to find books in the future?"

Jensen Sterling looked at the young girl holding two books she had just taken from the shelf, then slightly tilted his head to look at himself. Her eyes were bright, as if she had discovered a treasure.

"Yes." Jensen replied.

"Besides finding books, you can come here to read. If you need something, just look for it yourself. If you don’t understand, you can ask me." The man continued.

Mia’s eyes immediately lit up, her voice filled with surprise: "Really?"

Jensen smiled slowly, then nodded, his voice gentle: "Of course you can."

Mia was so happy that she almost spun around on the spot. You know, many of the books here are collector’s editions, no longer available on the market.

The two books she held in her arms were ones she really liked and had searched for in many places but couldn’t find.

Now that they were here, how could she not be happy?

This was one aspect; another was that she could ask mentor Jensen questions anytime. She no longer had to struggle alone, messing with her hair.

"Mr. Sterling, please sit. Wait for me a moment."

After Mia finished speaking, she placed the books in her arms on the desk and dashed out. In a little while, she dashed back again.

She carried a stack of her books, placed them on a table at the side, and then went out again... and came back again.

Back and forth several times, and Jensen’s desk was suddenly piled with many things—various professional books, exercises, and a computer. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Finally, Mia returned to the room with a smaller pillow, placed it on the chair next to her.

Looking at the items in front of her, she straightened up and clapped her hands: "All done."

Then seeing Jensen’s slightly amused gaze, Mia quickly said: "Mr. Sterling, don’t misunderstand, these are just for today. I’ll move them out after I finish reading."

Jensen moved the chair with the pillow in front of him and said: "No need, just leave them here."

"I’ll add a bookshelf for you here so you can leave your things here in the future."

Mia blinked. Is this really possible?

Then she saw Jensen sitting down, tapping the table lightly: "Aren’t you going to sit and read?"

Upon saying this, Mia immediately responded: "Oh, yes, I’ll read now."

She then sat down on the side and began to read seriously.

In the study, Jensen was attending to his tasks, and the girl sat quietly beside him, reading. Sometimes he turned his head and could see her serious profile.

Occasionally, when she encountered a difficult problem, she would lean over to ask him. Sunlight streamed in through the windows, casting a golden warmth throughout the room.

In the days that followed, it seemed like new items appeared in Jensen’s study every day.

Like cushions that didn’t quite match the room’s decor, or sometimes a few hair ties on the table, a chaise lounge by the window, or snacks... there were many such things.

In just a few days, traces of another person appeared in the study without any sense of awkwardness.

......

Mia was just struggling with a calculus problem, and since Jensen’s phone was on silent, she didn’t hear it ringing.

She only realized when she presented her test paper to Jensen that there was a call from Cameron on the phone beside the desk.

Mia blinked, leaned over to take a look, and Cameron’s phone screen displayed the bright smile of a girl, though her hair was a bit messy—probably from her own frustration.

Cameron chuckled twice and then asked: "Miss Sutton, what’s Jensen doing now?"

Mia, hearing Cameron speak to her, instinctively replied: "Oh, I have a problem I can’t solve, and he’s helping me with it now."

Cameron: "..." Really helping someone with a problem; he isn’t working or accepting gigs. He thought his artist was busy with something major.

Turns out he’s just teaching?!"

"Miss Sutton, what’s the problem?" He wanted to see what kind of problem it was that made him skip work.

Mia: "Advanced Calculus..." referring to college-level stuff

Before she could finish, Jensen’s hand reached from in front of her and picked up the phone.

He asked calmly: "Do you have anything else? If not, I’ll hang up. I’m still looking at a problem."

Cameron: Jensen, are you telling me you need to focus on a problem? A person who went straight through to a master’s with dual degrees from a top university?

You’re telling me you need to look at a problem?

Cameron held back his emotions and asked in as calm a voice as possible: "It’s nothing important, just wanted to ask if you wanted to take on a new endorsement."

"It’s for a luxury brand’s men’s fragrance abroad."

Jensen: "No need."

With that, he promptly ended the call.

Cameron held the phone, looking incredulously at the disconnected call: "..."

After a long pause, he said numbly: "Jensen’s really gone crazy this time."

He had to think hard about the PR strategy for when the relationship became public. Just thinking about the scene made Cameron shiver twice.

With Jensen’s status in the entertainment industry, his circle would surely shake.

After hanging up, Jensen began to focus on the problem Mia had presented to him.

It was indeed not difficult for him, but for Mia, this level of difficulty was a five-star challenge.

Quickly, he drew several auxiliary lines on the paper, then gently beckoned the girl beside him: "Come have a look."

"Oh." Mia obediently moved her chair over, sat next to Jensen, and leaned over to start listening to him explain the problem.

In fact, Jensen had set up a desk in the study specifically for Mia, but she preferred sitting at Jensen’s desk to read.

This way they were closer, and she could ask any question directly, which was very convenient.

...

The problem Mia faced was indeed very complex; otherwise, it wouldn’t have troubled her for more than an hour. But under Jensen’s guidance, it seemed quite simple.

One by one, auxiliary lines appeared on the paper, and the man’s voice was light, with a hint of calmness, giving off a convincing assurance.

But if you listened closely, you’d notice a subtle warmth in it.

He analyzed from the problem description, step by step, the process was clear and straightforward, and soon, the problem was thoroughly explained.

Jensen, with a faint smile in his eyes, turned his head and asked the person beside him: "Got it? If there’s still something you don’t understand, I can explain it again."

Mia: "Got it, got it, I understand now. I didn’t get this part at first."

After speaking, she took the test paper back: "Let me try solving it again."

Once she understood, she wrote quickly, and before long, Mia had solved the problem.

She presented it to Jensen, her face showing a smile of triumph: "See if it’s correct?"

Jensen looked at Mia’s radiant smile, and after a few seconds, said: "Correct."

"Great job."
