Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!-Chapter 233: Not Sulking With the Little Girl
Under everyone’s gaze, Mia obediently followed behind Jensen Sterling and left.
Everyone: "...." Looked at one another in shock, as if they’d seen a ghost.
After a while, Amanda Summers finally laughed and broke the silence, "Did you all forget? Mia signed with Prosperity Group."
With that, those who were surprised suddenly understood and nodded, relieved. Makes sense.
As the two walked out, Jensen was naturally tall, walked with large strides, and quickly. Mia could only try her best to keep up, almost breaking into a jog.
They walked like that for about two minutes. Jensen sighed inwardly, thinking what’s the point of being mad at a young girl.
Then his pace gradually slowed down. Mia breathed a sigh of relief, not knowing why Jensen suddenly changed his pace, unable to figure it out.
After slowing down, Mia raised her head and asked the person next to her, "Jensen, why did you come to our dressing room? Is there something you wanted to find me for?"
Jensen paused for two seconds, then said, "Celine said she had something to discuss with you, and asked me to bring you back to the company."
Mia nodded, "Oh okay." She thought so; Jensen wouldn’t just come looking for her for no reason.
They took the safety passage to avoid any paparazzi, but as they were about to leave, Jensen still took out a new mask from his pocket and slightly turned to put it on her.
Mia was a little dumbfounded by his actions. After Jensen put it on her, seeing her slightly confused eyes, his mood improved unexpectedly. He gently patted her head and said softly, "Wear it properly, don’t get caught by the paparazzi."
Mia wore the mask, her eyes exposed, like an innocent little rabbit, murmuring, "Oh, got it."
However, Jensen took his own mask, a common black one, but when worn on Mia’s face, it looked a bit big, somewhat loose.
The little girl’s face was too small.
But somehow seeing that made him feel quite good, a slight smile flashing across his brows and eyes, then said, "Alright, let’s go."
Cameron Grant’s car had been waiting outside for a while, initially meant for Jensen’s assistant to pick him up, but he made a call, and Cameron came over. He couldn’t do anything else.
Mia got in the car, greeted Cameron, then obediently sat in the back.
Jensen also bent down and sat next to Mia.
Then said, "Let’s go."
The car slowly started moving, Mia had been exhausted all day, now lying in the car, gradually getting drowsy, time slowly slipping away, her sleepiness successfully overcoming her willpower, and she fell asleep.
Jensen had been watching the little girl beside him, seeing her sleep, her little head wobbling, then reached out to hold her head, gently placing it on his shoulder.
Cameron, from the mirror in front of the car, saw this scene and suddenly: "..."
He felt like this agreement marriage was becoming more and more unreal, weren’t these two actually using the guise of an agreement marriage to date?!
After placing her properly, Jensen even lightly held her head, then slowly lifted his gaze.
Cameron immediately felt Jensen’s eyes meet his: "..."
Jensen: "How did things go?" Probably worried about waking the sleeping Mia, he spoke in a low voice.
Cameron: "It’s done, the screenplay has been handed to Celine."
"But... Jensen, is Celine really going to give Mia the script for that fantasy drama?"
He had seen that fantasy script, it was unlikely for the lead or second female roles to go to Mia, would Celine still take such a script?
"Jensen, you’re playing the lead male role, isn’t it awkward for Mia to see you interact with the lead female on set?"
Jensen gave him a faint glance, then asked, "Who said I was playing the lead male?"
Cameron: "Oh..." Two seconds later, he immediately turned around in surprise, "Wait, you’re not playing the lead male?"
As Cameron spoke, Jensen raised his hand to cover Mia’s ears, seeing the girl slightly frown and shift her head a little, but she quickly fell back asleep.
Jensen lifted his gaze to look at Cameron, Cameron immediately gestured OK, he understood, lower the voice.
Then lowered his voice and continued to ask, "Jensen, if you’re not the lead, then what role are you playing?"
Jensen said casually, "Demon Lord."
Cameron: Demon Lord? That’s actually pretty good; the character has a strong presence.
Then Jensen casually added, "Ancient Demon Lord."
Cameron: "What the heck? Ancient Demon Lord?" He was so shocked he blurted out.
Wait, wait, Ancient Demon Lord, now that he thinks about it, the total screen time for the Ancient Demon Lord amounts to less than three episodes, not even enough to be called the third male lead.
He felt his temples throbbing, it really was too hard for him.
Although they really don’t care about the cast order now when shooting movies, since Jensen’s reputation is already established.
In both the movie scene and the TV scene, he is already the highest possible standard.
But even so, it shouldn’t be played like this, shouldn’t a grand slam film emperor, a multi-award winner, play someone with more scenes?
Jensen glanced at his expression, then said coldly, "Just a cameo, and you should go back and have another look at the script."
After saying that, Jensen didn’t bother with Cameron anymore, slowly closed his eyes, pretending to nap.
Cameron: "..." Seeing the situation, he opened his phone, which contained a digital version of the script.
...
The car finally stopped at the company’s entrance after a long drive, Jensen gently shook the girl and called, "Mia, we’re here."
Upon hearing, Mia struggled to open her eyes; her voice still had a hint of innocence from sleep.
She rubbed her eyes with one hand, glanced outside, "We’re here?"
"Yeah, let’s get off the car."
Don’t question why Mia didn’t react when waking up and finding herself resting on someone’s shoulder.
If you’ve shared a bed with someone for a long time, waking up to find yourself still hugging the person next to you becomes a norm.
After stepping out, Cameron, watching the two enter, thinking back to the script he read earlier, suddenly seemed to understand why Jensen chose to play the Ancient Demon Lord.
Firstly, that role, despite having few scenes, is crucial as a character throughout the drama. That’s just one aspect; he now feels there might be another reason far more important.
Within the role, he has a little apprentice, female.
