Contract Marriage: Abusive Love with Mr.CEO-Chapter 447 - 236: He Wants Her to Come to Him (3)
"Hmm, I will also think about what’s wrong with this design."
"Alright, go out!"
Sitting back at her place, Rebecca Quentin opened her computer and printed a copy of the design draft sent to "Skytop."
Carefully looking at the design draft in front of her, Rebecca Quentin furrowed her elegant brows in confusion.
Logically, this draft was immediately favored by Mr. Gordon, so there shouldn’t be any issues with the design. With improvements and additions, the design has become even more perfect. Why was it suddenly rejected?
Rebecca Quentin picked up the draft to examine it, and suddenly, her gaze was drawn to a line at the bottom of the draft.
Responsible person, designer, effect diagram designer, construction diagram designer, reviewer...
When Rebecca Quentin saw the name following "reviewer," she suddenly understood.
Yes, she was responsible for the final review of this draft, so her name was prominently written on it.
In that moment, Rebecca Quentin sat upright, printed another draft on the computer, and carried it once more into Manager Smith’s office.
"Manager."
Manager Smith, who was discussing with two designers how to create a design that "Skytop" would be more satisfied with, looked up, "Hmm?"
"I think this design is already perfect, with no room for criticism. Even if the designers rack their brains, they might not come up with anything better."
The two designers, who had already exhausted their ideas, nodded in agreement. One of them said, "Manager, I also think this is the best design. If you make us think again, we might not come up with anything better."
Manager Smith furrowed his brow, "Then what do we do?"
Rebecca Quentin suggested, "Why don’t we send this design draft to Mr. Gordon again, claiming it’s been revised, and ask Mr. Gordon to speak on our behalf to Mr. Geoffrey? I believe it will eventually pass."
Rebecca Quentin’s suggestion was echoed by the two designers.
Manager Smith pondered for a moment and said, "Secretary Quentin makes a valid point... How about this, I’ll call Director Lynn, and if she agrees, we’ll stick with this design for ’Skytop.’
Rebecca Quentin nodded, "Hmm."
After contacting Director Lynn, Manager Smith spent some effort convincing her, and ultimately Director Lynn agreed with the suggestion.
"Rebecca, send the design draft to Mr. Gordon again!"
"Okay, Manager... But, I need to tell you something."
"Hmm?"
Rebecca Quentin then placed the design draft she was holding on Manager Smith’s desk, "I changed the name of the reviewer."
Seeing the reviewer name "Rebecca Quentin" had been replaced, Manager Smith asked inquisitively, "Why change the reviewer name to mine?"
Rebecca Quentin answered, "I thought, changing it to your name might make it seem more important."
"That’s true, we should pay attention to such small details."
"Hmm."
"Then send it like this!"
"Alright."
Back at her seat, Rebecca Quentin sent the revised "reviewer" name draft to Mr. Gordon.
After sending the draft, Rebecca Quentin leaned tiredly against her chair.
This time it should pass...
New York, Jones’ Mansion.
The housekeeper saw Howard Geoffrey return and respectfully bowed her head, "Mr. Geoffrey."
Howard Geoffrey responded lightly, "Hmm."
"The old lady is upstairs with young master Andrew."
Handing over the car keys and other items to the housekeeper, Howard Geoffrey then walked towards the second floor.
From a distance, Andrew’s unsteady little body was standing at the door of his room with a milk bottle, and Mrs. Geoffrey was squatting, helping him tidy his clothes.
"Mr. Geoffrey."
The housekeeper standing nearby, upon seeing Howard Geoffrey, immediately straightened up and respectfully called out.
Mrs. Geoffrey chuckled as she spoke to Andrew, "Little darling, look who’s back..."
Andrew seemed to understand his grandmother’s words, turned his head, saw his father, and immediately threw the milk bottle he was holding onto the ground. He toddled towards Howard Geoffrey...
Howard Geoffrey bent down and picked up Andrew.
"Look at your son, he tosses away the milk bottle just because he saw you come back..."
Howard Geoffrey kissed Andrew and spoke to him in a child’s innocent tone, "Did Andrew miss daddy?"
Andrew blinked his adorable big eyes, looking at his father, seemingly understanding yet looking very clever and cute.
"Come, say ’daddy’..."
Andrew hadn’t learned to speak yet, and what came out of his little mouth were sweet child’s babbles.
Mrs. Geoffrey laughed softly, "I think he’ll only start talking to you when he’s about two years old..."
Howard Geoffrey furrowed his brows, "That late?"
"Of course, between one and one and a half years, he might call parents’ names, but he’ll only start conversing at two."
"Oh."
"Dad... dy..."
As Howard Geoffrey and Mrs. Geoffrey were talking, Andrew suddenly mumbled a vague word.
Howard Geoffrey didn’t react for a moment, "Wh... what? Andrew, say it again?"
Mrs. Geoffrey was also surprised, "Did Andrew just call you?"
"Daddy..."
This time, although Andrew’s pronunciation wasn’t very clear when calling Howard Geoffrey, he managed to string it together.
Howard Geoffrey was overjoyed, "Son, say it a couple more times..."
Mrs. Geoffrey’s face was also filled with a broad smile.
Andrew, however, didn’t oblige him, and while Howard Geoffrey was eagerly waiting, Andrew pursed his lips and focused intently on playing with his father’s tie.
Howard Geoffrey fiercely kissed Andrew’s cute little face a few times...
During dinner, Andrew was asleep upstairs.
Mrs. Geoffrey noticed Howard Geoffrey was in a good mood tonight, and tentatively said, "Howie, do you think Andrew’s clothes are nice today?" 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Hmm."
A green outfit with bunny ears, looking very cute.
"Someone specifically chose that for your son, the size and everything fit perfectly!"
Howard Geoffrey nodded slightly, "Isabella chose well." He remembered that his elder brother and Roger’s wife always gifted children’s clothes and toys.
Mrs. Geoffrey put down her tableware and said seriously, "These were not chosen by Isabella."
Howard Geoffrey raised his eyebrows slightly, "Oh?"
"Only a mother knows what size her son wears, and would carefully choose such adorable clothes."
Mrs. Geoffrey’s words made Howard Geoffrey’s movements pause slightly.
Mrs. Geoffrey then revealed, "Son, these clothes were sent by Isabella on behalf of Rebecca."
Howard Geoffrey remained silent.
"Although Isabella didn’t tell me, when I saw those clothes, I felt they weren’t picked by Isabella, because Theresa Lewis already has a son about the same size; she sends clothes that don’t fit Andrew, not to mention Isabella is his mother... Later I asked Isabella, but she wouldn’t tell me until I insisted, and she finally said it was Rebecca who bought them and asked her to deliver them to Andrew."
