Feeling this young adult’s dark-brown eyes staring at him, Su Xiaotian couldn’t help but feel absurd, knowing full well that not everyone, if not only he himself, has an experience like this, having an older version of himself staring at him like some sort of monster of nature.

"I thought you have to rest or you won’t even survive until you manage to hand over everything to me?" almost as if talking to an old friend, rather than the older version of himself, Su Xiaotian shakes his head as he smiles with quite the melancholy, seeing that the older version of himself that he just saw previously now standing in front of himself once again.

"What can I even do?" the older Su Xiaotian, hearing the words from the one born in current timeline, smiles wryly as he starts scratching his head, a hint of annoyance on his face as he sighs before his face turns serious, albeit his eyes still holding the same glint of pride as he looks at the monster born from the possibility that he left behind.

"You know, I was supposed to awaken once you reached the peak of the Ascension Realm, just before you ascend to celestialhood to give you another gift, but now... forget it, we’ll deal with that later..." the older Su Xiaotian paused for a while before he decided to push this matter for later, intending to focus on the matter at hand.

"Like usual, I don’t have much time, and I have no experience nor have I heard of anything like this happening before, so let’s talk about your..."

"Pedestal?"

Hearing the question from his younger self, the adult Su Xiaotian smiles as he feels like he should know it by now as well, and his feeling is indeed correct, making it easier for the older of the two to explain the reason for his sudden appearance.

And seeing this look that practically says ’you’re one crazy individual’ from his younger self’s eyes, the adult Su Xiaotian couldn’t help but feel a little satisfied with himself, satisfied that it was finally him that is on the receiving end of shocked expressions between the two of them.

Not wasting any time on self-gloating, though, he continues with his words once more, which is conveniently the answer to his younger self’s question as well.
