Chapter 106: Thank you for the food

Max was the last to come down for dinner. When he got out of the bathroom, he found the room empty. He gave out a sigh of relief.

He shoved his fingers through his hair feeling frustrated. He wanted to sleep with Valerie so badly but he also didn’t want to scare her.

Even if he decided he would hold back and do just a little as she suggested, there was no telling what would happen in the course of it all. He could lose control and go hard on her, and his size wasn’t something to play with.

He could hurt her.

He wanted to have her under him, crying from tne pleasure he’d give her with his steady and heavy thrusts, and watch her expressions match the excitement she was feeling, but...he wouldn’t be able to enjoy it if she was actually crying from pain and not pleasure.

"Is this really okay?" He muttered.

Previously, he had been so proud of his size and was ready to take Valerie on with his pride but then he came across a weird article.

It was about a newlywed couple. After their wedding night, the bride began to avoid her husband and it was stated that it was because he was scared of what he would do to her in the bathroom.

She was scared of the thing he carried in his shorts.

And from there, their marriage slowly started breaking. She wouldn’t give him the desire he required and he couldn’t be with his wife and not have sex.

So they broke up.

In their circumstance, they wouldn’t be able to break up even if such a thing happened. They had come too far and if she did bring up a divorce issue, hopefully it would never come to that, then he’d tie her down with the contract.

Walking down the stairs, Max caught sight of his family having dinner and laughing at the things his mother was saying.

He watched Valerie. She looked calm and composed, laughing gently at the things everyone was laughing loudly about.

She looked like a completely innocent person and he still found himself wondering how she could have such a personality hidden under such calmness.

He always thought her indifference was the real her since all her villainous acts were all acts and she was pushed to be such, but here he was, seeing another ’true’ side of her. In a way, it was exhilarating.

Who knew what other personality this wife of his has? And all of it... He was the only one who could see them.

"Oh, you’re finally down." Tiana said and he nodded, going to sit next to Valerie. "Hurry up and sit. The food is getting cold."

"Thank you for the food." Max said and glanced at Valerie who smiled at him.

He smiled back and faced his food. Yes, that was right. No matter what hidden personality he had, they were all his to see.

After dinner, Valerie attempted to go to the kitchen to help out with the dishes but Tiana stopped her.

"There are more than enough hands to help with the dishes. You should focus on recovering." She said, and Valerie turned to look at Max.

She wanted to spend more time down and not go back to the room yet. To tell the truth, she was scared of what sue would do once she was in closed doors with Max.

That lascivious side of her... It was completely out of her control and each time she remembered how she acted, she felt like she had been controlled by a succubus and that none of it was her doing.

But she couldn’t deny that it was her secret desires that birthed that personality. So she would have to deal with it.

"At least, I’m only like that with Max." She muttered.

"Only like what?" Mariam asked, popping out from being, which startled Valerie a bit and she turned around, only to lose her footing and fall but Max caught her in the nick of time since he had been approaching from the side.

"What happened?" He asked, worried. "Do you feel faint?"

"No, it was just an accident." She said, smiling awkwardly.

"I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have startled you like that." Mariam immediately apologized.

"Mariam, you shouldn’t forget that she’s still weak." Max scolded. "Be considerate."

"I know, it was my fault." Mariam said, lowering her head.

Valerie felt he was too harsh on her.

"I was the one who was absentminded." She said. "So it’s not entirely your fault." She got out of Max’s hold and went to Mariam. "By the way, I have a few things to ask about the company. Mind if we talk now?"

"No!" Both Mariam and Max chorused, stunning her.

"Eh?"

"No, sis. You just got back from the hospital. You shouldn’t be thinking about work yet." Mariam said. "Don’t worry, I’ll manage everything properly. It’s almost done."

"It’s almost done?" Valerie tilted her head but Mariam did not say more and hurried out of there to avoid listening to Valerie pressing on further. ’I’m sorry, sis, but you really need to get your mind off work for now. Can’t have you collapsing from exhaustion again.’

"Mariam wants to go to her school’s prom." Max explained and placed his hands on her shoulders. "So she made sure to take care of most of the issues."

"Oh, that’s right. She said something like that." She said. "Then, when’s the prom?"

"This Sunday." Max said and her eyes widened.

"What?! This Sunday?" Max nodded. "Will she be okay?"

"You should relax, Valerie. That is none of your concern. Right now, you should worry about getting your body back in top shape. If not, how will you fit into your dress?"

Hearing this, she turned around to face him.

"What did you say?"

"You said you wanted to go to prom, so we’ll go." He took her hand and interlocked their fingers. "We’re going there as chaperons, but there’s no rule that says chaperons can’t dress nicely and dance." He kissed her hand.

Valerie watched him with a soft gaze. Yeah, he’d do anything to make what she wants come to pass.

"Alright." She said and moved closer to hug him. "Let’s go to prom."

"But first, let’s brace yourself for the complete annihilation of your enemy." Max said, his eyes growing dark and Valerie’s eyes glowed, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

"It’s finally time to rid the world of her filth." She said.
