Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 44: Shift to the city - I
She kept her cutlery in the desired position once she finished eating. Salvatore was left with a fourth of his steak and she did not mind waiting for him.
She sat there silently sipping the wine occasionally not trying to get herself drunk while closing out of the window every now and then.
He ate the last bite and Evelyn did not move in any hurry to tell him that she wanted to go home. She now casually started to sip on her water because the wine had finished.
He nodded at her and both of them stood up to walk out. She did not know why he did not pay the bill at that moment. Maybe he had it tab here or since it was his mother’s restaurant or since he was the owner did not ask him to pay.
He opened the door for her and once he was sitting inside, he started to drive to where she assumed it was his parents home. Once again the familiar road to the house appeared that she had traveled a lot of times with Marcelo on. The doors open for the familiar park and he drove to the front of the house where she got out and he followed her inside.
"Good afternoon Ms Evelyn, master Salvatore," Agatha greeted her with a bow. "You like me to set lunch for you two?"
Evelyn opened her mouth to say no but Salvatore beat her to it, "We ate Agatha. Where’s papa?"
"In his study, master." Agatha answered as she bowed a little and Salvatore went past her into the office of his father that Evelyn had been only once.
Agatha then turned her attention to the young girl in front of her. "Are you sure that you’re full? I can have the chefs make you something quick and light."
Evelyn shook her head at the thought. "Thank you for asking Agatha, but I am full." Evelyn give her a polite smile and walked back to her room thankful that the day was over.

It was 7:45 and around the time that the family would go to have dinner together. Evelyn noticed that no matter how busy their schedule was, breakfast and dinner were always done together or at least they tried to make to it.
She really appreciate the effort and even though it was just four of them attending it all of them were still well dressed or at least in the clothes they wore in the day if not changed for the dinner. She noticed that this family always looked the best dressed, no matter what the occasion might be.
And because of that very reasonable Evelyn had also begin to dress up for dinner. She continued wearing the clothes she had worn throughout the day. It was a nice dress and she tied up her hair.
She moved downstairs and noticed that it was Alexis on the dining table.
"Good evening," she wished as she came closer to the woman who smiled at her. She had switched to English.
"Good evening, Evelyn." Alexis wished back and smiled at her. "Did you have a nice lunch today?"
Evelyn who was previously placing the napkin on her lap look at Alexis for the question she asked. She knew. "Yes and it was lovely. We went to your restaurant actually."
"Was it?" A smile came to her face. "Tell me how was it all and if there is any problems and I need to look into."
"Oh no," Evelyn shook her head, " they were no problems at all. I would say the food was very good."
"Food is one of the major attractions for restaurants," Alexis agreed and her brown eyes twinkled in the dark. They would attract anyone even if it was just a dull brown colour.
That was the moment that Angelo entered the dining room and it stuck eight that meant that the dinner was about to start.
Their plates were placed in front of them and it looked divine. Evelyn really wanted to ask the question to Alexis if she hired the same chef at home that she had for a restaurant.
While they were in the middle of the main course Angelo spoke up as a place is cutlery down. "Evelyn, I have an announcement for you specifically."
Evelyn nodded.
"Alexis and I," He glanced at his wife who continued to eat, "have to go to America to attend a Gala, not only one actually but many are coming up this month so we will be staying in our house there." 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"For a month?" Evelyn repeated.
Angelo nodded but raised a finger, "a month it will be but I don’t think so. Alexis has many chains of restaurants there and she will be checking on them, each and everyone, personally which is why it might take us more than one month and I am warning you about that."
Evelyn nodded understanding his point. She could not be more grateful that he felt like to include her in the stuff going around the house.
"There is one more thing," Alexis interrupted her thinking and glanced at Angelo who nodded.
"We do not want you to live alone which is why you will shift to live with my son in the City."
Evelyn nodded with a smile on her face before it faltered and she processed his words. "What?" She turned to Alexis.
Alexis nodded.
Evelyn opened her mouth to argue that every second, "but I can I just fine. I can easily cook for myself if you want to relieve the servants—"
"Honey," Alexis interrupted her, "it’s not that I want to release the servants or anything like that. I do not want you to live alone in such a big house and there is not going to be anyone visiting here. Agatha is going to come with me and rest of the servants are people that you do not know." She explained. "Which is why Angelo and I decided that it would be better if you live with Salvatore because out of all of our children, he is the one that is going the most."
"Is that alright with you Evelyn?" Angelo asked as he kept his eyes at her.
Evelyn’s Eyes met his. She nodded.
She understood.
