CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 335: New Driver

The orientation that Mitch did was very short and efficient since she wanted Tom to follow Amy and Maya right away because Amy sneaked out of the office and escaped from her bodyguards. Mitch gave all the urgent and important pointers to Tom hoping that Amy wouldn’t fire him after a week just like what happened to all her driver-bodyguards after Dave got transferred and became the driver-bodyguard of her children.

"Tom please don’t mess up and please be the last one that I will be orienting, I am very very tired of this. Imagine hiring someone and doing orientation every week. It’s making me old, really," Mitch almost begged feeling really frustrated.

However, Tom is a referral from someone they trust and even though she had only talked to him for a short while, she felt at ease and trusted him already. As if they have known each other for a long time and she is trusting her gut on this one.

"You are scaring me, Mitch. It sounds like Mrs. Brighton is an awful boss," Tom said as they walked in the hallway, going to the SUV that Mitch told him to use.

"Amy kept on insisting that she doesn’t need a driver or security team for she can drive and protect herself. And we don’t doubt that but we want her safe, the children are still young and they need their mother. Ever since her first husband died it was as if she was on a suicide mission with every decision that she makes," Mitch said before opening the door of the black Lincoln Navigator for Tom.

"Nice car but old," Tom tersely mentioned after getting in and inspecting the interior.

"Yes, it is six or seven years old I think. It was previously owned by Mr. Welsh and Amy refused to let it go, so take good care of it or else you are dead, got that?" Mitch then winked at Tom obviously joking about the last part.

"Got it, Ma’am. I’ll go ahead," Tom smirked after closing the door and placed both his hands on the new leather cover of the steering wheels before starting the engine. He stepped on the gas and listened to the sound causing him to widen his smile and murmur, "Perfectly maintained."

He got into the place where Amy and Maya went in just a few minutes and quickly spotted the two ladies, he looked around and saw Theo ordering from the bar. He texted Maya as per Mitch’s instruction making Maya approach him.

He extended his hand which Maya immediately took, "Thomas White, Ma’am. A pleasure to meet you."

"Thank God you’re here. Amy will soon lose it. No matter what she says don’t follow her. She’s a handful and I hope you are ready for it," Maya said.

Tom opened his mouth to ask something but Amy interrupted their conversation.

"Ohhh! Maya! You flirt! Theo is here and yet who is this man that you found?!" Amy swayed while giggling as she approached them.

"Gosh Amy, this is Tom, your new driver. And I think you should go. Your alcohol tolerance is very low, I really don’t know how you survived until now," Maya exclaimed.

"Bullshit! Theo just ordered more, let’s go!" Amy then walked back to their table making Maya shake her head.

"See... Told yah..." Maya said to Tom before following Amy.

Tom stood beside the wall near their table observing the three and their surroundings. He saw how Maya drank very little while Theo did not drink any alcoholic beverages at all. On the other hand, Amy kept ordering drinks. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"Man, you are very unlucky that your agency assigned you to this family. Believe me, it will make you go crazy," Tom heard Theo’s bodyguard whisper to him.

"I have no agency, I applied for this. Is she always like that?" Tom asked when he saw Amy walk to the dance floor and dance to her heart’s content as if no one was watching.

"I don’t know either, but man, you are brave enough to apply for the job or you just needed money that badly. Well, I guess you don’t know anything if you are asking like that. That woman is crazy when she gets drunk. But this is the first time I see her happy dancing like that. She’s always angry when she’s drunk. Maybe it’s because I heard they are going to celebrate something tomorrow. A birthday I think, I am not sure, perhaps–" The bodyguard stopped and dropped his jaw while watching Tom leave him and walked towards the dance floor before punching a man straight in the face.

Soon he watched people scream and disperse from where Amy was and stood behind Theo and Maya covering them in a protective stance, catching Theo and Maya’s attention.

"What the hell? Where’s Amy? What are you standing here for, go and find Amy!" Theo shouted at his security team who obeyed him immediately.

And before they can all go to the dance floor, they already see Tom punching and kicking four people at a time while Amy is doing the same to another two men.

Maya who was worried earlier about the sudden commotion sat back down and went back to eating and drinking her food and cocktail, unbothered by the fighting that she just saw.

Theo sighed loudly as he placed both his hands on his waist shaking his head, "Your cousin is killing me, Maya! I will die soon because of worrying excessively!"

Maya finished her drink before replying, "Then stop worrying. As you can see, she can handle herself well. Look at her new bodyguard as well, I think they will get along. Look at them, they are enjoying beating the asses of those jerks."

"What do you even mean?" Theo asked, completely exasperated.

"I was watching Amy earlier as always and saw those jerks approach her. Perhaps she got annoyed and decided to beat them instead of dancing," Maya said while dipping her fries into the sauce.

Theo dropped his jaw at how casually Maya narrated what happened, ’I cannot believe this woman. They really are cousins!’ Theo uttered inwardly.
