CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 180: My Butterfly
Princess Cassandra looked in the mirror. Her eyes were shining.
She had placed it on the wall near where she can face the forest. Today it was Prince Cedric’s coronation and as the only family member staying in the royal palace, Princess Cassandra had to attend.
"Princess the money has been distributed and the children will be fed properly." The maid said as she stood at the corner.
"Every orphanage is covered?" Princess Cassandra asked as her eyes turned sharp.
"Yes, Princess." The maid nodded her head. "And the children have started to train as well. They are given the training for defending themselves, by their town knights. We are looking into it." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Princess Cassandra nodded. Her eyes looked in the mirror as she looked at herself. She was wearing a blue gown. Its hands were near her arms giving a fairy-like vibe.
[Amy used to love this style.] Princess Cassandra thought as she looked outside at the garden. There was a slight smile on her face as she wore the hair accessory that Amy used to wear. It was something that the fifth Princess cherished the most.
Princess Cassandra could see her hairs were tied up in a bun and yet some of the strands flowed down her face. Her lips were tinted red. Princess Cassandra knew that if Amy would have seen her like this then she would have said that now she looks like a real Princess.
As the fifth Princess saw in the mirror, she could see Amy taking the crown filled with crystals in her hand as she placed it on her head. Princess Cassandra knew that she was only dreaming with open eyes. But the smile on Amy’s face was something that the fifth Princess wanted to see.
"Princess, It’s time." A maid said in a hurry as Cassandra looked away from the mirror.
It was then that she saw the crown still on the table. A crown made of crystals. Something that Duke Salvador had made for her. Something that she dreamed Amy was putting on her.
Princess Cassandra nodded as she took the crown and placed it on her head. She smiled at her image as she turned around. Her blue dress matched her blue eyes. "Let’s go."

Everyone was happy. The new Emperor, Emperor Cedric sat on the throne as he looked down on his people.
Cedric had already started to make changes. The first thing he did was wipe out everyone else except the fifth Princess. In the eyes of people who supported him, it was a wise decision to make, who knows what will happen in the future if the other member’s states but the fifth Princess was powerless so the nobles did not have any problem.
It could be seen that the Emperor’s behavior towards his sister had changed drastically. Initially, he never used to talk to anyone but now his conversations with Princess Cassandra had improved. They could be seen having tea together sometimes which was still a surprise to many.
The new Emperor saw the fifth Princess who was standing with a glass in her hand.
Princess Cassandra was looking at the door, waiting for Duke Salvador. He had gone out with the other Dukes leaving her alone. Princess Cassandra smiled at the people who were there to talk with her.
The fifth Princess talked with a few people. She knew that they were here because Emperor Cedric had a good opinion of her. Maybe they were sad to see that her engagement is broken and wanted to comfort her.
Princess Cassandra entertained a few but her head was aching. She wanted to run away. But then a man came for her rescue.
"I would like to talk with the fifth Princess." Lord Bentham said straight away with a sharp tone making everyone else take a step back.
Princess Cassandra was relieved as she took the Lord’s hand as they walked towards the balcony.
"You know they are thinking what is there to talk between us. There are going to be rumors." Princess Cassandra said as she looked outside. The soft wind was blowing as the sky was turning dark.
"I can see their gaze screaming that I want to go back because the Emperor has a good impression of you," Achard commented as he took a sip of the drink.
Princess Cassandra laughed as she looked at Lord Bentham, "Right, you wanted to talk about something."
"Why do you think that? Can could be an excuse for saving you from them." Lord Bentham shrugged his shoulders but the fifth Princess shook her head.
"Just tell me."
Lord Bentham looked down as he took a few deep breaths. He did not know how to say this but he made up his mind. "This might be the last time you see me."
Princess Cassandra’s eyes widened when she heard those words. "Is the Lord going somewhere?"
Lord Bentham nodded as he looked at Princess Cassandra. "I have thought about things and I feel like there can be people who could use other elements like darkness. Although the Vivere Kingdom is captured some people would be alive. I want to search for them and give them a sense of belonging."
Princess Cassandra was silent for a long time. She looked at Lord Bentham and saw that the man was filled with determination. "Have you talked with others?"
"Yes, I have. It is not like I will be forever gone. I will return when I find all the people." Achard Bentham said. "After all, my family is here."
Princess Cassandra nodded. She knew that the Lord would have talked with Duke Bentham and Duke Salvador as well. It would have been impossible if the Emperor would not have given the permission. "I will be waiting for the Lord’s return. After all, I am your family as well."
Lord Bentham smiled as she nodded. "Of course sister."

Duke Salvador walked into the room making everything stop. The music halted as the people gave way.
Duke Salvador smiled as he stood in front of Emperor Cedric. He took a scroll from his hand as he forwarded it to the Emperor.
Cedric opened it as he asked, "Are you sure?"
"Yes." Duke Salvador said.
No one knew what was going on. But one could tell that Duke Salvador was full of determination. There was a small smile on his face as he moved towards the fifth Princess as he took her hand.
"That .." Princess Cassandra was confused but soon she was pulled into the center of the hall.
Duke Salvador’s eyes were shining red as he looked at the Emperor. "I met her for the first time when I asked the former Emperor for the scroll. I did not know then that I would be able to use it now. Two of the Dukes were not fond of my decision but I know the Emperor can never go back on his father’s words."
Duke Salvador looked at the side where Duke Crawford and Duke Garfield stood. "When I asked the former Emperor to allow me to marry whoever I want, he gave me his words. The scroll says the same so no one should have any objection."
"I have always lived my life on my own terms but I didn’t want to anymore. I would like to live it under someone else’s terms."
Aiden’s hold on Princess Cassandra tightened as he sat on the ground as he pushed a ring on her finger. It was a beautiful combination of red and blue diamonds. The color of their eyes. "I want to marry you, Princess Cassandra."
Princess Cassandra did not say anything. She was confused as her eyes shivered. Duke Salvador smiled as he got up as he pulled the fifth Princess towards him. His hands rested on her waist. "I have always told you that I will wait but are you planning to make me wait forever, Princess? Won’t you marry me, my butterfly?"
Princess Cassandra’s eyes were filled with water. She looked at Duke Salvador’s eyes as she realized that she had made the man wait for a long time. "I will..."
There was a shiver in the fifth Princess’s voice as Duke Salvador smiled. He wanted to claim that she belongs to him and he belongs to her to the whole world, and what would be a better place when everyone was already there?
Lord Bentham smiled as he looked at the happy couple. He just wished that they could be like now forever.
Emperor Cedric shook his head as he complained to himself. [You should have let me enjoy my day a little bit more.]
Blazh was within the crowd as he smiled. He was the one who had seen their relationship bloom. He knew that no matter what problems there would be in the future, the two of them will overcome them together.
Duke Salvador smiled as his hold on the fifth Princess tightened. "Now you are mine."
"I was always yours."
Duke Salvador kissed Princess Casandra as he heard the gasp of people around, but he did not care.
Soon the soft music started playing as they danced. Princess Cassandra rested her head on Duke Salvador’s chest as she danced slowly along with the music.
Princess Cassandra was happy as she saw the smile on others’ faces. Achard Bentham and Emperor Cedric were smiling happily as they genuinely wished for their happiness.
Duke Bentham even told her that as Achard thinks of her as his sister, she belongs to their family now. And if Duke Salvador troubles her, the Bentham’s will back her up.
Although Duke Crawford and Duke Garfield were not so happy, they accepted it. And Blazh even had tears in his eyes when he met them.
Princess Cassandra for the first time felt like she was blessed. Although in the eyes of others she would be an unfavored Princess, but she knew that she was loved by many.
