Chapter 179: Worthy

Princess Cassandra smiled as she continued.

"The small trip was useful for the Prince. He was able to gain all the four elements." Princess Cassandra smiled as she asked, "Right?"

Duke Salvador and Lord Bentham nodded as they agreed to the fifth Princess’s words. There was nothing to deny. Princess Cassandra did not want to be known and they did not want to increase her burden.

Once they got everyone’s approval, Prince Cedric moved his hand and a huge wave of wind blew across the room but it did not stop there he twill his finger and a water image started dancing on the table. But Prince Cedric had already mastered those two elements.

[I want a fire doll.] Prince Cedric thought as he moved his finger and a lady in fire emerged on the table as a bell. The water and fire dolls danced creating a beautiful illusion but things did not stop there, Princess Cassandra commanded. [Move your hands up.]

Prince Cedric followed as a block on earth emerged beside the table. The dancing doll jumped off the table into the block as they danced. They looked as if they were mirror images of each other until they collided and disappeared.

"I think I made a point." Prince Cedric said with a smile. "This much is enough to prove my point. Isn’t it?"

The third Prince looked at the Dukes who nodded their heads.

Duke Crawford said, "Yes, the third Prince is worthy but we would like to follow the normal procedure. You will be crowned after a month."

Duke Garfield added. "We will spread the words that your powers are confirmed but you need to keep the old pack. The Dukes are loyal to the people alone."

Prince Cedric nodded. "I know it well. Not only the Duke but now the Emperor will also be loyal to the people alone."

They walked towards the garden when Prince Cedric suddenly stopped. "Princess..."

Princess Cassandra turned around as she smiled. "Yes, Prince."

Prince Cedric looked at Princess Cassandra’s blue eyes as he smiled. They were walking alone as all the others were still discussing things in the room. They needed to come up with a proper explanation for the citizen to prove his claim as well as for the killing of Vivere Kingdom.

Although Prince Cedric knew that they were going to blame Princess Valeria for killing the Vivere Kingdom’s people, Cedric did not care a lot because he knew the people would accept it. After all, Princess Valeria was known for such things.

"Sister ..." Prince Cedric whispered, making Princess Cassandra pause. Seeing the reaction from the fifth Princess, Prince Cedric asked in confusion. "You do not like the word? Or you do not like me calling you that?"

Princess Cassandra was silent before she took a few steps forward. "There were times when I really wanted to hear it. Maybe I was small and young and I wanted family love but not anymore. Although we are siblings we have hardly seen each other’s faces at banquets. Let’s keep our relationship to that. You will be a Prince to me for jow and soon become an Emperor."

Prince Cedric did not know why but he felt a slight pain. His bond was never good with any of his siblings. After all, they were his competitors and his mother had always taught him to eliminate the competition rather than making friends.

Princess Cassandra never had a good image in his eyes. The fifth Princess was someone without any power yet she looked like a goddess. It was the only image he had in his mind, but in the fight with the witch, Prince Cedric had realized that there was so much more to her than this. Maybe if he had known her better then their equation would be better.

Princess Cassandra did not pay any attention to Prince Cedric’s thoughts. She knew very well that she was not the Emperor’s child. The color of her hair was just a coincidence that made her the Princess. Although she did not blame Prince Cedric or the royal family because it was for them that she was able to survive otherwise the Grand Duke would have killed her long back, Cassandra still did not want to get involved with the Royals.

"Do you really want that place?" Prince Cedric asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Yes."

"But shouldn’t you leave the past behind?" Prince Cedric’s steps stopped as he saw Princess Cassandra halt.

"It has nothing to do with the past." Princess Cassandra smiled as she looked at the third Prince. Her eyes were no longer filled with sadness or loss. She had come to terms that she had lost her people and that was okay. "It is about saving the Precious memories." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Prince Cedric nodded. He did not understand the fifth Princess’s mind anymore. After losing her lady in waiting, Princess Cassandra refused to let anyone else serve her. It was her request. Although Prince Cedric wanted to refuse it when Aiden Salvador said to him that he should not refuse anything the fifth Princess asked for he had simply agreed.

"I will be dismissing the other royal from the palace." Prince Cedric said as he waited for the fifth Princess’s reaction but to his surprise, he did not get any. She was silent as if she had not listened to his words.

"I do not think there is any use to keep them here." Prince Cedric added.

"It’s good as well." Princess Cassandra finally said in a soft tone. "At Least you are not going to kill them. We have killed a lot of people already."

Prince Cedric was silent. He knew what the fifth Princess was talking about, she was talking about the Vivere Kingdom’s people.

"I will provide them with the necessary budget so that they all can live comfortably." Prince Cedric tried to explain. "And I will transfer the forest’s land to your palace under your name. You can live there comfortably."

Princess Cassandra nodded. She did not care how the third Prince decided to treat others. She was not close to them at all. She was only happy that she got the place she wanted.
