Bride of the Serpent King-Chapter 14: Everzai Academy
Chapter 14 - 14: Everzai Academy
Chapter 14:
Everzai Academy
A beautiful, expensive Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe was elegantly parked in front of the university. Inside the car were a couple teasing each other.
"We are here, let's go," Everett stated.
Zaiyila immediately stopped him. "You go to work early, I'll take care of myself here," she replied, kissing his lips before he could object. Then she flashed him a beautiful smile.
Everett stared at Zaiyila for a long moment before nodding. "Remember all that I told you—you can't leave yourself to a lowly human," he reminded her.
Zaiyila chuckled melodiously, her cute dimples revealing themselves, making her even more stunning. With those sudden appeared dimples, she looked extraordinarily beautiful yet playful, like a young girl. It was easy for people to mistake her for, at most, a seventeen-year-old teenager.
Everett's eyes widened. "You have dimples," he remarked, clearly surprised.
Zaiyila's eyes also widened, and she immediately checked herself in the mirror. Indeed, the dimples were there and quite deep, making her even more stunning than before.
She turned to Everett with a worried expression and immediately grabbed his hand. "I didn't do anything, I swear! I was just imagining how I would look if I had dimples—I don't know how they appeared," she explained hastily.
Everett clicked his tongue. "Of course, they would appear with just a simple imagination. Do you really see yourself as a normal human?" he mused before smiling. "My wife looks even more beautiful with these dimples."
"Really?" Zaiyila stared at him for a long moment. "You're not angry? You don't think I'm weird and wild?" She watched him intently.
A mask appeared in Everett's palm, and he placed it on her face. "You don't think I'm weird and wild, so why would I think that about you?" He smiled warmly. "I'm the only one who can see your beautiful face others are not allowed." He added.
Zaiyila chuckled and hugged him. "I love you," she murmured, looking into his eyes.
"You can't understand or comprehend how much more I love you," Everett responded, kissing her eyes, which were left uncovered.
Zaiyila felt extremely happy. "Let me go now, you should get to work," she reminded him.
"Once school is over, I'll pick you up," Everett mentioned.
"I hear you, husband," Zaiyila chuckled and stepped out of the car.
Everett rolled down the car window. "Go ahead, I'll leave once you enter the class," he informed her.
Zaiyila nodded, waved at him, and then ran inside at full speed.
—
Right after Zaiyila was out of sight, the warm atmosphere in the luxurious car vanished instantly, and the gentle smile on Everett's face transformed into a chilling, deadly grin that could make anyone feel their impending doom.
"To the company—there's a need to clean some blood with blood," he declared, his cold smile unwavering.
"Yes, boss," the driver responded and drove away.
As the car started moving, Everett's eyes began glowing with his true might. "Protect the Queen with your lives," he commanded.
There was no verbal response, but the nearby forest filled with the hissing of snakes, as if replying to him, before they all slithered toward the school at great speed.
—
Zaiyila checked all the department classes with excitement. She looked no less than a young girl experiencing school for the first time, filled with unquestionable happiness. "It feels like a dream!" she murmured, looking around, unsure of where to go.
"Excuse me... you are...?" A female voice sounded from behind, stunning Zaiyila. She turned around only to find a beautiful matured woman, around thirty years old, wearing rectangular glasses and staring at her with a strict gaze. Dressed in a white shirt and black skirt with a pair of fitting black sandals, she looked both beautiful and unapproachable.
Looking at the woman, Zaiyila smiled warmly, but then she realized she was wearing a mask, so the woman couldn't see her expression. She immediately spoke. "I'm Zaiyila, 19 years old. I just got transferred to the school—I'm a fresher," she introduced herself promptly.
The woman was about to respond, but then she seemed to notice something about Zaiyila, and her strict expression softened immediately, turning friendly and even a unidentified respectfulness.

"Ah, you're Zaiyila," she acknowledged with a smile, gently holding her hand. "Let me lead you to your department. This is the Arts Department, but your department is Science. Let's go," she invited kindly, leading the way.
Zaiyila was confused for a moment. "Won't she ask about an entrance exam?" she thought. "This is definitely Eve's handiwork. He even knew I preferred the Science Department—this is great! Who's luckier than me to have a husband like him?" she chuckled and followed the woman.
The Science Department was quite different from the Arts Department. In the Science Department, students wore white lab coats and were dressed neatly as they focused seriously on their work.
"Attention!" The woman entered Class A—Lab Science and called for attention in a calm but firm tone.
The students immediately dropped what they were doing and focused on her. As they turned their attention to her, they noticed Zaiyila beside her and curiously observed her.
"Let me introduce you," the woman stated, scanning the class with an authoritative gaze. "This is Zaiyila, a top-grade science student. She will be joining our Class A from now on. And if any of you intend to make things difficult for her, you will face my wrath," she warned coldly.
All eyes turned to Zaiyila. It was clear they were shocked. Perhaps the woman was very strict with them, and they didn't dare to discuss it openly, but their eyes were filled with countless questions.
Zaiyila was even more stunned and took another glance at the woman. "Top-grade science student? Did she mistake me for someone else? I'll have to talk to her later," she thought.
"I have a question, Miss Girlin!" A young, handsome male student in a lab coat stood up and turned to Zaiyila. "This new student looks younger than anyone here, probably sixteen or seventeen. She shouldn't be here. Is there a mistake somewhere?"
Miss Girlin glanced at the male student and smirked coldly. "What's the youngest age in this class?" she responded icily.
