Bride of the Serpent King-Chapter 15: The Devil’s Wrath
Chapter 15 - 15: The Devil’s Wrath
Chapter 15: The Devil's Wrath
Everyone was silent as they all felt the tense atmosphere.
"Eighteen!" the young man who had questioned responded, slightly embarrassed.
"And you, who are questioning someone's age, how old are you?" Miss Girlin inquired.
"Nine... nineteen," he muttered.
"Sit down or get out of the class," Miss Girlin's gaze turned colder.
The young man immediately sat down and dared not make any more comments.
"Any more comments?" Miss Girlin scanned the class.
"Miss Girlin, she's wearing a mask. That's rather suspicious. We should investigate, or she should remove her mask," a female student remarked, looking fiercely at Zaiyila.
Miss Girlin's gaze turned even colder. "You are not aware of who you're messing with," she stated, looking at the female student with disgust. "Go to the principal for a two-week suspension. As for the reason, you dared to mess with someone I'm protecting. No room for questions—get out now!" she commanded fiercely.
Everyone was stunned, even Zaiyila. She looked at Miss Girlin with confusion. "She treats newcomers quite well," she thought. "But a two-week suspension? Isn't that too much?" She glanced at Miss Girlin, but before she could speak, the female student stormed out of the class, not without sending a hostile glare her way.
"Miss Girlin..."
"Please take the front seat. If you don't want the front seat, you may sit anywhere you wish," Miss Girlin interrupted before Zaiyila could plead on behalf of the girl.
Zaiyila sighed and went to the front seat, and the class began.

"Mr... Mr. Everett, please pardon me! Please!"
Inside a grand meeting office, Everett sat on a regal chair at the center of a long table, surrounded by several men, their clothes drenched in cold sweat.
Everett's eyes were cold and terrifying as he played with his fingers, a murderous smile plastered on his lips. Behind him stood two men in black suits and dark glasses, their presence exuding danger, ready to take action at any moment.
Beside him, a bald, fat man knelt, his face ruined with tears, his clothes in disarray. He was pleading desperately, and when he noticed Everett wasn't ready to listen, he immediately prostrated.
Everett turned his chair to face the man, his murderous smile never fading. "Have you ever seen me pardon my enemies before?" he questioned, though he didn't bother looking at him.
"I..." The man lowered his head, tears streaming uncontrollably. "Mr. Everett, please, I never intended to offend you. I have always done my best to satisfy you. Please consider that I have never made a mistake before and spare me," he pleaded.
Everett chuckled, his laughter a devil's melody. He shook his head, his gaze darkening. "This child is too naive. He doesn't even know how he offended me, yet he pleads for his life," he mused coldly.
The man's head remained lowered. Indeed, he had no idea what he had done wrong. Earlier, Everett had entered with an icy aura, his murderous gaze locked onto him. Having worked with Everett for a long time, he was all too familiar with that look—it only meant death.
His mind was far from at ease, and he continued pleading desperately.
"Mr. Everett, please give me a chance! I'll fix my mistake," he implored, believing it had to do with his work.
Everett's smile turned even colder. Suddenly, he grabbed the man's neck, his eyes darkening to a shade of crimson, his grin more frightening than ever.
"The mistake was done and can't be fixed, it's late already" he smiled dangerously. "The Xandra family sold a female to you a month ago. You were tempted by her beauty. Yes or no?" His tone was ice-cold.
Everyone shivered, more confused than ever. Why was a woman the cause of this situation? Everett had never once cared about personal affairs, especially concerning women.
The bald man was equally confused but knew the consequences of lying. Whether he told the truth or lied, the result would still be death.
"I was... I was..." he stammered, struggling to breathe, his face paling.
Everett's gaze grew even colder. "The female was unwilling and begged you to let her go. Yes or no?"
"Yes, she did."
Everyone was even more stunned.
"What did you do after she pleaded?"
All eyes fixed on the bald man, and they could already imagine his answer before he even spoke.
"Mr. Everett, please!" he choked, gasping for air.
"Answer me!" Everett thundered and effortlessly flung him against the hard wall. The man's head hit the surface, blood staining the wall.
No one dared to make a sound. They remained rooted in place, not even daring to glance around.
"I... I... I slapped her and hit her, then locked her up," the bald man sobbed. "But she escaped! She escaped! I didn't lay a hand on her in that way, and I didn't even ask for a refund of the money!" He cried harder, hoping for mercy.
Everett laughed, his hand on his forehead, his crimson eyes glowing ominously. "You've got the nerve," he sneered. "The fact that she even apologized to you won't save you today. And you dared to hit her, beat her, and lock her up?" He turned his chair, his back now facing the trembling man.
"Kill his family with one swift move. As for him..." A sinister grin spread across Everett's face. "Slice every part of his body slowly. Make sure he remains alive until the last cut."
"Yes, Master!" The two men bowed and dragged the bald man away.
"Save me! Please! It was my mistake! Mr. Everett, please, have mercy!" the bald man screamed, but it was all in vain. No one dared to help him. In fact, they didn't even know if they were in trouble themselves, let alone plead for someone else.
After today's events, one thing was certain: the woman Everett spoke of was very important to him. Every womanizer in the office had better change their ways before it was too late.

Still feeling enraged, Everett stood up. "We will resume the meeting at 6 p.m. It will be a conference meeting," he declared before walking out.
The moment he left, everyone exhaled in relief.
"I agree with the conference calls! From now on, all meetings should be conference calls! I pray!" one of the men shuddered as he quickly exited the room.
The others followed suit, only leaving after confirming Everett had completely left the company.
