A golem with the makings of a master enchanter, only seen once in a thousand years, created by Master Smith, the first Master Blacksmith and Master Enchanter of Urth, using unknown means. >
The finished Rún had three traits, the very first being “Genius Enchanter”, which had given the soul its name. This trait and the synergy it caused were the most likely the cause of the unusual occurrence during the crafting.
Rún had instinctively interfered with his own crafting process, following the souls desires to pull in materials and enchant its shell on top of that. Seth had known about this trait, that could vastly improve understanding, development and execution of enchantments beforehand, but didn't expect it to interfere in the Faer ritual.
What came unexpected were the next two traits. Seth was quite pleased with “Dexterous Hands”, as it was an acknowledgment of his work. He had heard of the trait before and knew that it increased the multipliers for Dexterity.
What was a surprise was “Glas Cannon”, a famous trait that increased the power of spells by 5 times, but also increased all damage taken by the same amount. This was a trait for casters, not for enchanters, and the blacksmith didn't quite know where it came from.
The
may have had a role in that, but there had to be more factors Seth didn't know. Maybe some of the materials or a synergy on enchantment the soul implemented. Seth didn't really like this trait as it was a double-edged sword, but he couldn't change what had already happened.
Other things that caught his attention were the title and the classes Rún's status displayed.
“ Rún, what is the effect of your tile?” Seth simply asked the automaton directly. Seth could think of the reason it held this title, considering that the whole reason the bard created it was to assist him with arcane enchantments in the future, but he had no idea what the title could do.
“ Enchantment Assistant improves the chances of success for an arcane enchantment by 50%, if I work with at least one other person,” the golem readily explained the effect of the skill, reminding Seth of an uncomfortable truth when it came to an enchanter's enchantments. Just like Potions, the crafting process could fail. As such, raising the success chance by a whopping 50% was a very good effect.

“And what about the 'Prismatic Wizard' class?” he asked. Seth could roughly imagine what the Millennium Enchanter could be, the name was not very cryptic. The class of 'Prismatic Wizard' on the other hand, was a little more mysterious.
“It allows me to learn the whole prism of magic,” the golem simply stated. Seth looked at it a little confused. Then wasn't it the same as a basic Wizard? Wizards were able to learn every branch of elemental magic, it was just that they didn't get any growth multiplier for any of them, unlike specialized wizards and mages.
But there had to be a difference, right? The system usually didn't create redundant classes. As he thought about the wording Rún had used, a question came to mind.
“Wait, if you say the whole 'prism of magic', does that include stuff like , ,, and other kinds that don't belong to the elemental schools?” the blacksmith asked doubtfully. If this was the correct interpretation- The golem simply nodded.
This was a jack of all trades class, allowing an infinite combination of spells! For any normal person, this was a trash class. Humans simply didn't have the lifetime to learn and train this much. But Rún was a genius enchanter and a golem with an indefinite lifetime.
With the Glass Cannon trait, Rún might become a more frightening caster than an enchanter in the future. However, that was not his purpose. He was happy if the perks of the secondary class increased the range of enchantment the golem would be able to use, but he was using it in a battle was a tertiary thought at best.

“Good, good. Let's introduce you to the others in the workshop before I brief you on our first project,” the blacksmith said and led the golem into the workshop. Cerberus was as expressionless as ever, but Sivri looked at the new hire in surprise.
“Woah, I thought you wanted to make it a Faer, how come it became a puppet automaton?” she exclaimed curious. Seth gave the clockwork golem another look and had to admit that it also resembled a mechanical puppet, thanks to the porcelain-like face. The golem in question bowed.
“Hello, I'm Rún,” it introduced itself independently.
“As you heard, this is Rùn, our new workshop arcane enchanter. Thing derailed a little, but I guess it was for the better,” Seth followed up on the golem's introduction, answering her question briefly.
“That means he? is now part of the smithy?” Sivri asked for clarification. The blacksmith thought for a moment. What had Seth pondering wasn't whether Rún was part of the , but whether the golem had a gender.
Rún did have an androgynous but decidedly male face. The golem's body also lacked curves in general, despite being tall and slender. If Sivri was a female dwarf golem, then it was probably correct to say that Rún was a male human golem. What was absolutely impossible to say what ever the fuck Cerberus was supposed to be, except male.
“Yeah, he is part of the smithy now. It worked out just fine,” Seth confirmed Rún's status. After Sivri was Cerberus, but the three-faced golem didn't even stop working when Seth introduced Rún, so it was hard to tell whether Cerberus even acknowledged his existence.
Following his assistants, Seth brought Rún around the workshop, showing him off to Tored, Hoen, Wedan, and the other blacksmiths, especially Neill. In the future, once the Indomitable Craftsman reached at least the craftsman tier, he would create a great synergy with Rún.
Neill's works were perfect for the magical kind of enchantment as his items brought out the most of the materials' traits, without adding anything superficial. This allowed enchantments, especially arcane ones, to work mostly unobstructed. If the enchantment assistant wasn't working for Seth, Neill's items were best for practice and grinding proficiency.
After introducing Rún to everyone, they returned to Seth's workshop and sat down. Then the blacksmith started briefing Rún on their future work and showed him the blueprint Nam had given him. Together, they would decipher the artificer's legendary-tier blueprint and find a way to translate it into one usable with system skills.
“But it is already late today, so let's start tomorrow, early in the morning,” Seth ended his explanation. After his explanation the bard said everyone good night and left to get dinner at the canteen, before getting back to his quarters.
Today was an eventful day, and Seth was looking forward to tomorrow. He expected that Rún was going to need a few days to get used to his adjusted skill level and learn up on master-level enchantments. He was probably going to spend a few days with Grant May instead of the workshop to polish his knowledge.
But afterward, Seth would have his personal master-level enchanter. Until then, he could put his mind to some more miscellaneous tasks, like refining the materials looted after their fight with Natina.
His mind still pondering over the work if the next week, he went to bed.
