Black Online-Chapter 189: Crazy Viewer
"Take a seat. I’ll get something to drink for us."
Fang Raon said and entered the cottage.
Lady Diana moved her long trench coat’s back vent out of the way and then made herself comfortable on the bench.
She watched from the window as Fang Raon went to the kitchen.
’I’ve kept my eye on him. The Rock I know doesn’t just take just anyone as his student, so this one must be special.
’He has been pretty dominant in the tournament so far, but I didn’t expect anything less, so if he doesn’t reach quarterfinals, I would be quite disappointed.’
Lady Diana thought to herself.
Meanwhile, Fang Raon took some coffee beans from a jar and started roasting them on an interesting-looking coffee machine.
This coffee machine was working with magic, and it started to hum softly as it roasted the beans perfectly.
The liquid started to drip down into a waiting cup, filling the air with a rich, intoxicating aroma.
’I wonder what she wants to talk about with. It feels like it has something to do with Rock. He returned in a pretty sour mood yesterday.’
Fang Raon thought and then looked over his shoulder, checking Lady Diana’s expression—she was just patiently waiting outside.
The coffee finished brewing, and he poured it into two cups and grabbed a sugar bowl, then walked back outside.
"Here you go."
He put the two cups down on the table, then placed the sugar bowl next to them, which had many sugar cubes.
"This coffee is made of Rumba beans, and I heard it’s pretty good from Rock, so I hope you like it."
Fang Raon said.
"Rumba beans is my creation, y’know. I’ve been nurturing them for years now over at the plantation."
Lady Diana said casually and sipped on the coffee.
"...You have?"
Fang Raon’s eyes widened in shock.
He knew that Rumba beans were an extremely popular item over in the tower, and people drank that coffee everywhere.
"Yes. We have a vast delivery network, so we supply it and some other stuff all around the tower. We’re currently working on expanding to the 40th floor and above."
Lady Diana said.
’I can see why she is considered one of the wealthiest people in the tower now. She must be making crazy money.’
Fang Raon thought and sipped on the coffee.
"Where is this plantation?"
He asked curiously.
"I’ve purchased a decent-sized island not that far from here. It’s called Green Isle, and it’s where I grow and harvest all the coffee beans for my business.
"I am also involved in several other business ventures on the island, such as wine and chocolate production."
Lady Diana said.
’Purchased an island...’
Fang Raon let out a cold breath.
"If you want, I can take you there if you are interested in seeing it."
She said.
"...Maybe, I’ll think about it."
Fang Raon said.
He would be lying if he said that he wasn’t curious, and he would definitely want to visit whenever he had time to do so.
"There was something you wanted to talk to me about?"
He then asked.
It was the reason why they were currently sitting and drinking coffee—because Lady Diana wanted to talk about something.
And it definitely wasn’t because of the coffee.
"I have a proposal for you."
She said, and then she put the cup of coffee down on the table.
"...Yes?"
Fang Raon raised an eyebrow, as if he was asking, ’What is it?’ with that raise of an eyebrow.
"We used to be a thing—me and Rock—it didn’t last long as there were several complications with that relationship.
"It’s been nearly three years since I’ve seen Rock last time, but my feelings haven’t faded, and I know his aren’t either.
"Rock is very hard-headed, and there are reasons... why he doesn’t want to continue the relationship. With his wife’s passing, he believes that he betrays Della if he marries someone else."
Lady Diana said.
"...I didn’t know his wife had passed."
Fang Raon responded.
It took him by surprise, and he had a hunch that there was something going on between Lady Diana and Rock.
However.
This surprised him.
’I thought it was strange that Rock was spending all his time in Black Online, but I guess since he had lost his wife, there is nothing for him over in the real world.’
Fang Raon thought.
"I’ll get straight to the point—if you can change Rock’s mind, I’ll give you whatever you want—money, skill scrolls, valuable weapons... Anything."
She said with a serious look on her beautiful face.
’She wants me to somehow make Rock forget about his deceased wife and get him to date Lady Diana? This feels... Wrong.’
Fang Raon thought with a frown.
"...I don’t think this is the right way of doing things, Lady Diana. I can’t do that to my master, it feels like I am deceiving him."
He said.
"..."
Lady Diana looked at him silently, then she sighed and blinked her eyes once before looking at him again.
"Have you ever been in love?"
She asked.
"..."
Fang Raon thought, and there was someone that flashed to his mind—it was Chaewon—but he didn’t know whether it was love.
He shrugged his shoulders.
"I don’t know. Probably not."
"You wouldn’t understand then. To pursue love, you must do everything in your power to make it happen. Once you fall in love, then maybe you’ll understand why I am doing this."
She said, and without finishing the cup of coffee, she stood right back to her feet and opened her interface.
She clicked on something and sent a friend request to Fang Raon.
[Diana has sent you a friend request!]
[Accept/Deny]
Fang Raon looked at the screen and pressed "Accept," as he really didn’t have any reason to deny it.
"If you change your mind, contact me, but if you don’t, that’s also fine. I will still offer to take you to Green Isle, if you so desire."
Lady Diana said with a smile.
"Mmh."
Fang Raon nodded with a deep look.
With that, Lady Diana walked away, leaving Fang Raon to ponder her offer, but he had already made his decision.
’I won’t help her with that. I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t tempted by the offer, as she has stuff that can change my entire life.
’However, I can’t do that to Rock. There must be a reason why he refuses to get together with Lady Diana. It’s his business, and I won’t get involved in that.’
Fang Raon thought.
He looked at the two cups of coffee on the table—both were still steaming hot and half full—but he didn’t feel like drinking anymore.
Thus.
He picked them up and walked to the door, but while he was holding both cups, he had to use his elbow to open the door because his hands were full.
"God damn it..."
It was hard, but eventually, his elbow pushed down the door handle, and the door became slightly ajar.
"Ahhh!"
At that moment.
A scream came behind him. A knife followed. A blade thrust into the back of Fang Raon, and he gasped in surprise.
He dropped the two cups of coffee, and when they fell to the ground, they shattered, and the coffee just splattered everywhere.
"...What... the... fuck?"
Fang Raon grimaced, and he turned around, and there was someone stabbing a knife into his back.
’This is Safe Zone... What kind of fucking lunatic... Would attack me here... And why?!’
"Haah... haaah... haaah..."
A young man panted heavily with sweat trickling down his forehead, and he then pulled out the knife from the back.
He took a step backward. The knife’s blade was drenched in blood. And he was trembling with fear and adrenaline.
[-33HP]
[-55 HP]
[HP: 591/700]
The health was consistently dropping as his back wound continued to bleed profusely.
’That knife has a shark teeth blade. It can create more damage to insides than an ordinary blade. This motherfucker...’
Fang Raon gritted and looked angrily at the unknown player.
"Why... Who the hell are you?"
"S-s-s-s-s-stay away from Della. Y-y-y-y-you hear me?"
The young man said with a trembling voice.
"Huh?"
Fang Raon frowned.
"You hear me?!"
The young man screamed and swung the knife, but this time around, Fang Raon easily dodged it.
"Who the hell are you?"
Fang Raon asked angrily.
"I-I-I-I am nobody... B-B-B-But I don’t want you near Della, d-d-do you understand? S-S-She is a princess that shouldn’t be sullied by the likes of you!"
He screamed.
"...Don’t tell me you are one of her viewers? You came all the way here to kill me because... I streamed with her once? You lunatic."
Fang Raon gritted his teeth.
"D-d-d-don’t play around... T-T-There have been rumors in Della’s fan club that the two of you are... are... dating!"
He screamed.
"Haah... This really pissed me off now..."
Fang Raon reached his hand out to the inventory, and he pulled out his King’s Shortsword—its blade was over ten times bigger than the knife’s blade.
"Ah..."
The young man gulped at the sight of the large blade, but he didn’t back down and tried stabbing the knife into Fang Raon’s face.
Fang Raon whispered, "Basic Parry," and smacked the knife out of the young man’s hand—the knife fell to the ground with a loud clatter.
"HARD SLASH!"
In that moment.
Fang Raon smashed the sword through the young man’s body with immense force—he got cut in half—the two halves turned into pixels, and those pixels vanished into thin air.
Thud!
At that moment, Fang Raon collapsed on one knee, and he touched his back—it was bleeding heavily.
He didn’t have any healing potions with him because he had used them all!
"D-Don’t tell me I am about to die like this... What a joke..."
