He had even thought that he might be an imposter prepared by the temple because he already had Sera. But his body had acted before his mind did, and he ended up marking Shuu.

And from then on, he had spent too much time and effort on Shuu. The clues had always been there.

By now, he had no doubt that Sera was a fake. But a small part of him still felt fond of her because of all the memories they had spent together.

"I... see. And about the wedding preparations...?"

Count Diltz raged as he watched her leave.

He, along with the high priest, were the only people who knew the truth behind her child-that it belonged to one of the commoner soldiers with whom she had drunkenly slept.
