[BL]The Hero and his Party Won't Let Me Go-Chapter 60: Ch : The Banquet
The rest of the dinner was awkward, and no one spoke much. They all finished their food and got up to leave.
Prince Kaiden escorted Lady Sera back to her room and decided to leave. But Sera immediately grabbed his hand and pulled him inside.
"N-Now that you are back, can you spend some time with me? I want to be with you, Prince Kaiden. I missed you a lot."
Sera’s eyes were wet and expectant. Her arms were open as she asked for a hug that he had never refused her before.
Even now, he did not refuse her advances and ended up in her arms. But his heart was no longer in it, and he quickly broke the hug.
"I should leave now and check up on what happened in my absence. We will have a lot of time to talk later, Sera. So, go to sleep now."
Prince Kaiden told her as he held her at arm’s length.
Sera’s expression turned disappointed as she pouted at him.
"No way-! I don’t want you to go. Can’t you spend a night with me? Just one?"
She asked, her eyes looking up and trembling. She wanted Prince Kaiden to pay attention to her.
Unfortunately for her, Prince Kaiden just put her hand away from his arm and leveled her with a disappointed look.
"I cannot delay the checking for much longer. The sooner we get this done, the sooner we spend more quality time together." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Prince Kaiden’s voice was soft, and Sera wanted to believe him. But a part of her told her not to trust him.
’But even if I tell him to stay back, the choice is ultimately his.’
Sera sighed and took a step back.
"Alright, I will let you go. But you better show up to my tea party in the next few days..."
She told Prince Kaiden, and he smiled at her.
"Of course...also, about Shuu. You don’t have to worry. He’s a dear companion, but you are the one I will marry. But I did have a favor to ask of you—can you look after him? He has gone through some tough times, and your support will help him a lot."
Prince Kaiden asked Sera because he trusted her. Even if she felt threatened by Shuu, she was kind enough to help him out...he hoped.
"I will...do my best."
Sera promised, and Prince Kaiden nodded.
Prince Kaiden left Sera alone in her room, and she kept her smile all the way until the door closed.
But as soon as the door closed, her smile faded and her expression turned into one filled with rage.
"Tsk, how dare that stupid outsider...ugh, me-! Look after him-! Fine! I will show him what happens when you try to aim for something you should not."
Sera raged as she sat down on her bed and started writing a letter. She was going to make sure her tea party would be one everyone remembers for a long time.

"How are you feeling now? Do you want to lie down?"
Nero asked Shuu, who had all but collapsed against his bed. The dizziness was killing him, and his head ached.
His condition was not bad, but it was getting annoyingly concerning.
"I am fine...I think. It might be stress and my blood loss acting up. I will go to sleep now."
Shuu told Nero as he tried to ignore Prince Yunn and his fiancée in the room.
The royal pair just smiled at him, but that did not make him feel better.
"Ah, don’t worry about us. Just pretend as if we are not even here."
Prince Yunn told Shuu, but that was easier said than done. Especially when the pair kept looking at him with expectant eyes.
"This is enough. Now get out. Shuu needs his rest."
Nero reminded the royal pair before he kicked them out and took his leave as well. It was all quiet outside Shuu’s room before Nero heard footsteps heading their way.
Prince Kaiden’s presence was felt not too long after, and Nero relaxed at the familiar presence.
"How is Shuu doing?"
Prince Kaiden asked as he reached for the door. But Nero stopped him before he could open it.
"Shuu is fine now. He is sleeping. We should make sure not to disturb him. I will take him back to my mansion tomorrow once he feels well enough."
Prince Kaiden’s expression tightened at those words, and it seemed as if he had a lot to say.
But in the end, none of it passed his mouth, and he swallowed it all.
"I...see. That is good to hear. I have asked Sera to take care of Shuu. She might invite him out to various parties to show that he is under her protection. I think it will help Shuu."
Everyone’s expressions immediately turned to ones filled with concern and shock.
"Brother, surely you did not-! Lady Sera and her people are the biggest threat to Shuu right now, and you are going to send him to her on a silver platter? You might as well banish him to save him from suffering."
Prince Yunn spoke with confidence. His fiancée nodded in agreement, her eyes fierce as she recalled all the atrocities Lady Sera had committed.
But Prince Kaiden just sighed as he looked at them all.
"You all are too biased against Sera. Just give her a chance. And I know that I am putting her standing at risk by helping Shuu, but that is why I asked her to take charge. If people see that they both are friendly to each other, they would come around as well."
Prince Kaiden’s words only caused the people around him to shake their heads.
"You are not that naive, brother. You need to pull yourself out of your delusion regarding Sera and choose if you want to support her fully or not. Because if you want to support her, the best thing you can do is send Shuu as far away as you can."
Prince Yunn explained, but his words caused a growl to escape Prince Kaiden’s lips.
