[BL]The Hero and his Party Won't Let Me Go-Chapter 212: Ch : Someone Interfered
’Follow the light...and come to me...’
The voice instructed Shuu and he immediately stretched his hand toward that voice to try and follow it.
He could not think or feel anything at the moment. He felt like a shell that was born to follow orders. And that was what his instincts told him to do.
’I need...to follow...that light...’
Shuu extended his hand toward the light, but he passed through it. But his brief action changed the trajectory of his journey.
"Hey, this is not right-! We do not need to-"
The familiar voice tried to warn Shuu, but it was torn away from him by a physical force and Shuu was pulled in another direction, only to disappear in a flash of light.
Shuu’s soul landed outside the light and he felt it sink into his body. He opened his eyes and looked around the dark room he was currently inside.
"I...where am I-"
Shuu’s throat felt dry and it hurt to speak at the moment. He tried to cough to clear it, but it hurt even more.
’Am I...alone...?’
Shuu blinked as he tried to feel around and that was when he felt the grip on his clothes tighten and he looked down at the small hand holding tightly onto his clothes.
"This is...Rin...?"
Shuu’s memory was hazy and every second felt like it was eroding more and more. But what he did recall at the end was Rin’s soul clutching him and dying with him. And then, someone or something had tried to yank them...
’But where did we end up coming? It does not look like the afterlife...’
Unfortunately for Shuu, he currently had more questions than answers. And before he could get any answer, the door was slammed open and someone entered the room.
"Hey, make sure to search every place inside this room. That bastard could not have gone too far. Daring to scam us? Where did that bastard get this much courage from?"
Shuu held his breath tightly as he heard the people walking around the dark room. His ears picked up more than a few pairs of footsteps as well as noises.
It made Shuu press the child in his arms even harder against his chest as he wondered what he should do next.
Ultimately, he decided to wait for the situation to settle itself before he could act. But unfortunately, his plan did not come to fruition because someone stumbled upon him and quickly called out to the others.
"Boss, we found him. Both him and that kid are alive...but barely. What do we do with them?"
Shuu’s heart sank as soon as he realized that these people were talking about him. The one they must be looking for was likely him as well.
’What do I do now? Should I try to run...? Or maybe, I should remain calm and see where it takes me...?’
Shuu had a lot of options. But unfortunately, before he could decide what to do, he felt someone grabbing his face and pulling it up.
"That’s a decent face indeed. I can tell why the young master fell for him like he did and chose to believe the crap he said. Let’s take him back now."
Shuu’s arm was suddenly grabbed by the stranger and he finally felt his instincts stir. He wanted to fight and protect himself and Rin, but his body would not move.
"Boss, there is a child here as well. What do we do about it? Should we take him back as well?"
The stranger questioned and Shuu’s heart skipped a beat in fear. He did not want to be separated from Rin, especially when they were in danger like this...
"Our orders were to take everyone back, no matter what. That includes the kid as well. Stop stalling for time and grab them both."
The voice ordered and the strangers quickly grabbed Shuu’s arm and dragged him behind them.
In the end, Shuu was not able to do anything but be dragged back to wherever these people wanted to take him.

"How dare he interfere-! That bastard-! I am going to kill him and everyone involved-"
Goddess Astoria threw her goblet at the wall and caused it to shatter. Her servants flinched at her anger, but they did not dare say anything. They were too afraid of being her next victim.
But Goddess Astoria did not care for their feelings. All she cared about was her own satisfaction...which she was currently not getting.
And it was all because someone had interfered and decided to pull her precious weapon’s soul in another direction at the last second.
It had been an unexpected delay she had not expected, but she had decided to not pay much attention to it...until the very last second.
She had been too drunk on her victory to realize that someone had snatched it from under her within seconds.
This won’t do. She had waited so long for this moment, so she wouldn’t allow her prey to be taken away by someone else. Even if that ’someone else’ happened to be her own brother.
She stormed inside Loki’s palace and the servants gave her unhappy glances when they saw her there.
But she ignored it all and slammed her fists on her brother’s table.
"Where is he? Don’t pretend you do not know. Where did you take my weapon’s soul?"
Astoria’s anger knew no bounds but she remained calm. She was giving her brother a chance to make amends with her.
But unfortunately for her, Loki had no intention of helping her out.
"Soul? I have no idea what you are talking about. And didn’t we agree not to interfere with each other’s domains before? Then what are you doing here? You have no reason to be here right now."
Loki reminded Astoria, but she did not fall for his nonsense. She knew that she was right and she refused to back down.
"Is that a challenge, brother? Because I will be more than happy to take it."
