Chapter 320: A peaceful sunday
Maxwell demanded that he get his turn, and rode Andrew on his favourite shower bench before the couple finally decided that they had gotten their fill of each other.
Then, the two settled into bed, curled around each other and Maxwell nestled into Andrew’s arms.
"Who helped you today?" Maxwell asked and Andrew froze.
"Uh, well...Can I keep that a secret?" Andrew asked. "Not because I want to hide it, but I want to surprise you." They had two different meanings, and Andrew felt Maxwell tense. He waited, holding his breath before he heard Maxwell sigh, and felt him snuggle against him further.
"Fine. I’m just curious, that’s all." Maxwell murmured and Andrew let out a slightly relieved breath.
"I know. I would be curious too, but I appreciate you not prodding more. I would tell you if you didn’t want it to be a secret, but I just..." Maxwell grumbled as Andrew trailed off.
"I know. It’s not like you can ask Richard for help right now, or May and Ford. They have their hands full, and we’ll have our own hands full here soon as well. So that does leave the pool narrowed. But, for your sake, I’ll stop pestering and wondering." Maxwell said. Like it was a heavy and hard thing to do.
"Could you...also not pester the people who follow me as well? I just...I really want this to be a secret. Until it isn’t." Andrew said and Maxwell grumbled more.
"You really are pushing your luck." He told him and Andrew laughed, pulling him closer.
"Thank you for being so understanding, my sweet Angel. You are so kind and caring and willing to compromise for me." Andrew told him and Maxwell continued to grumble, but held onto Andrew’s chest with a deep sigh.
"I am all of those things." He agreed finally and Andrew felt his cheeks crease with his smile.
"Of course you are." Andrew agreed. "You are a wonderful person, and worthy of all praise." Andrew said with his full chest and Maxwell sighed. frёewebnoѵēl.com
"How the hell can I even be mad about this? There isn’t a way I could. All you’re asking for is a bit of privacy while you shop for my engagement ring, and you shower me with praises and cum. This is all a guy could ask for." Maxwell said, a little bitter. "Damn it. You’re too perfect. I need to put a ring on your finger soon so no one else notices." Andrew was a little surprised by the possessiveness that Maxwell was showing, but at the same time?
It made perfect sense.
Andrew pressed his lips against the top of his head.
"I’m sorry. I’ll work harder and faster to get the ring just right. You’ll go over designs and stuff that you hate with me tomorrow, right?" Andrew confirmed and Maxwell chuckled.
"Yes. I can do that. As long as you let me blow you for breakfast." Andrew let out a deep, heavy sigh.
"Fine. I guess. That’s such a hard compromise." Andrew complained and felt Maxwell’s shoulders shake.
"Thank you for putting up with my hard requests." Maxwell replied and Andrew kissed the top of his head.
"You are so welcome." Andrew said warmly and Maxwell laughed.
"Give me a kiss before you go to sleep." Maxwell ordered and Andrew did just that before the two fell asleep, blissful in each other’s company.

The morning started off great, and continued on an upwards trajectory. Maxwell woke up Andrew exactly as he said he would, had his breakfast snack, and Andrew then proceeded to make sure they both had an actual breakfast.
They planned out the next steps of the move, the next things that they needed to do, and Maxwell checked in with the contractors that he had already hired and briefed on the situation.
Things were already moving at an alarming speed, and Andrew was realising that was the weight of the Beckett name, and money.
While they wouldn’t have the temporary apartment ready for Richard right away, they would be able to kind of section off a small part of the new house for him so he wouldn’t be overwhelmed by pheromones right away. He would have a safe space to rest.
That was something both Maxwell and Andrew wanted. Andrew also called Richard, putting him on speaker phone so that they could update him on what they were planning.
Richard had been quiet on the other line for a long time, so long that Andrew had almost worried that he had hung up before he heard the soft, shaky inhale.
"You two don’t need to go this far." Richard had finally said. His voice was unstable, and Andrew glanced at Maxwell. Maxwell’s gaze was hard, and his words were firm.
"Of course we do. You’re family, Richard. And neither I nor Andrew want you to suffer through this." Maxwell told him in no uncertain terms. Richard was quiet for a long time on the other side.
"What if this takes a lot longer than Andrew?" He asked and Andrew felt his heart ache.
"Then it does. We aren’t going to kick you out, Richard. Now make sure you cancel your apartment, or we can cover it if you want to keep it while you are gone. Whatever you want, that’s okay. We can also move all of your things into this house that we currently are staying in. We don’t need to list it right away, and that way you have all your things in a safe place." Maxwell told him and that seemed to be a lot for Richard.
The whole conversation was probably a lot.
"Whatever you want, Richard. It’s okay to turn to us and rely on us. Really. You’ve done so much for me, for us, and we just want to pay that forward, okay? So just think of it as payment for all of the good that you’ve done." Andrew told him and heard Richard let out a wet laugh on the other side of the call.
Andrew had wanted to do a video call, but he had a feeling that Richard would have turned it down. This was probably the reason. He was more emotional right now, and he didn’t like other people seeing him cry as a kid.
"If it makes it easier for you to process," Maxwell started, "you can view this as a scientific experiment. Think of what we’re doing as funding for that." Andrew chuckled quietly at Maxwell’s words. Richard also let out a wet laugh at his words.
"Funding, huh? I’ll try, but I’m going to be terrible at this. I already feel like I’m stepping into a new couple’s honeymoon phase and bothering you two." Maxwell scoffed, waving a hand that he knew Richard couldn’t see.
"Pah-lease. If I was worried you were going to interrupt my chances of jumping Andrew’s bones, I would have said something. You aren’t a bother, just knock when you enter spaces." Richard let out a loud laugh, surprising himself and Andrew grinned at Maxwell’s behaviour.
"See? Maxwell’s completely on board with it. You aren’t a bother, or a burden, Richard. I know it feels that way, but I promise you, we don’t feel that way. Even if you lash out because your emotions are going wild, or cry or throw a tantrum. It’s okay. I did the same thing." Andrew said and Richard sniffed.
"Yeah, but you have a huge cock, and not a fucking womb." Richard said bitterly and Andrew laughed. Maxwell made an offended noise.
"Hey! There is nothing wrong with omega cocks." He protested and Richard grumbled.
"They said my cock could get smaller." He muttered and Andrew howled with laughter.
"I’m sorry. I’m not laughing because of that." Andrew said after Maxwell had smacked him. "I’m laughing because Michael measured my cock when this all started and said my cock was on the smaller side for the average true alpha cock and I sobbed like a baby about that." Andrew told Richard and Maxwell smiled.
"He did. He needed comforting about that. Whatever happens, it’s okay. But thanks for bragging that you have a big cock, Ricky." Maxwell deadpanned and Andrew howled again.
"Oh man. I’m keeping this story for when you get married." Andrew said and Richard grumbled.
"So am I." He said back, just as seriously. "Oh, actually, I have so many stories that I don’t think I even need that one." Richard’s voice held a threat and Andrew chuckled.
"Then you better get good enough that you can attend." Maxwell said, unphased. "I would love to hear what stories you have about Andrew’s childhood. I’ll make sure you get a mic." Maxwell promised and Andrew felt a shiver run down his spine, but still smiled. It was fine.
Whatever was the motivation, Andrew didn’t care. As long as it was motivation for Richard to get better.
"I should let you two go. I have to go for my next round of tests." Richard told them and they let him go.
Then Maxwell pulled out his laptop and told Andrew to get a notepad. They were going to go over what he didn’t like in a wedding ring/engagement ring, Andrew was ready.
There were so many tabs open.
