Beastmen Love-Chapter 26: Candle Light

Zin and Wayde put another layer of wood on the walls to make the cabin warmer, they put more tapestry on the floor so Astri doesn’t step on the cold floor.

Lee hunts and brings the prey for them to smoke the meat and store it.

Astri actually feels happy watching them working together. The only things they let her do is taking care of her little garden and sewing clothes, or cooking something she really wants and they don’t know how to prepare.

Wayde takes the chance to enjoy her more when it’s his time to stay with her while others are hunting or working somewhere else.

He knows she feels embarrassed with him doing that in front of the others, so he can’t wait to have the castle where all of them can have the privacy they need.

Lee plans a surprise for Astri. And he hopes she officially accepts him as her mate...

When there’s a day that is not raining, Astri was outside watching the stars.

"Do you want to see them closer?" Lee asks her. She looks at him and he smiles at her. "I can take you."

"Really?" She asks.

"Yes. It’s not so cold tonight. Do you want to go?"

"Yes!" She jumps excitedly.

He chuckles and carries her princess style.

"Hold on."

He spreads his wings and then flies away.

When she felt they left the ground, she automatically hugged his neck scared at first because she looked down and they kept going up.

"Look up if you’re scared." He says.

She does look up and then she sees the stars. They look like they’re in front of her, like if she could take them in her hands.

"It’s amazing..."

"I never thought I would actually like the stars, not before I saw your eyes. I feel your eyes shine like the stars." He tells her. She smiles.

"Thank you."

She looks at the clouds. Feeling the wind on her made her feel she’s kind of in her realm.

She wonders if it’s psychological because everyone suspects she’s a bird, but she also feels a connection to other things.

"What are you thinking?" He asks.

"This is amazing. I feel a connection with this feeling of flying."

"It’s because you’re a feather beast."

"But I also feel a connection to the land when I look at it." She looks down.

"You were raised not knowing about your needs as a beast. I think this confusion is normal. Don’t worry, when it’s flower season I’ll take you to fly more and you will shift in no time."

"What was the most different beast you ever saw? Or weird."

"The most different? I think that a merman is different. They’re seen as the most beautiful, but they have parts of a fish around them. Like that tail."

"I can imagine."

"The most weird would be beavers. They’re small and fat, with big teeth, but you better don’t be enemies with one. They can destroy your house in a blink." He tells, making her giggle.

Her smile. He could kill anyone just to keep that smile. And he loves it even more when he knows she’s smiling because of him.

"Is there any rare beast?" She asks.

"Pandas are rare. Females don’t want them because they’re fat and slow, so they can’t protect their mates well. Dragons are rare too, they’re very secluded and prefer to stay away from everyone."

"I see. Well, I’m sure I’m not a panda or a dragon." She says.

"You’re too cute to be a dragon."

"Have you seen any female dragon?"

"No, but I can imagine. Beasts like snakes, lizards and dragons always have this face you don’t know if it’s a female or not."

Astri looks around again.

"You know. I never saw your beast form. I mean entirely." She says.

"Do you want to see it?"

"May I?"

"Of course."

He lands in the middle of nowhere and then he removes his clothes. She looks away embarrassed and blushing, he found that reaction amusing.

He shifts and when she hears a soft sound of chirp she looks back at him. His eagle form is huge, her head hits at his belly.

She can see the proud face of Lee on that eagle’s face, maybe that’s why he’s so beautiful as an eagle too.

He lower down his head and touches carefully his long and curved beak on her head. She touches his face and hears like a pur, even knowing he’s not a cat. She smiles at him.

"You’re beautiful in your beast form too." She says.

’I know.’ He speaks, looking even more proud. ’But not as beautiful as you. There’s nothing more beautiful than you.’ He says rubbing his beak on her again.

He lowers down his body and shows his back to her. She understands he wants her to ride him.

She is nervous at first, but he’s so big that it won’t be so easy for her to fall down. She climbs on his back and he flies away.

Watching her spreading her arms like trying to get the stars and enjoying the flight made him the happiest man in the world.

After what it felt like hours, Astri says she’s feeling cold.

Then he brings her to the top of a huge tree. It has a hole and he shifts while she’s on top of him, when she notices she’s hugging his neck from behind.

He puts her on the floor and she looks inside.

There’s a bed, surrounded by many flowers and there’s fruits too. He had also put a tiny fire pot, turning the place so romantic.

Her heart beat grew faster quickly, she’s blushing by how romantic Lee is. She wasn’t expecting he would be that kind of man.

"Did you like it?" He asks.

"Yes.. It’s beautiful."

He holds her hand and brings her to sit on the bed. They talk about many things, making Astri less nervous.

"How did you get so rich?" She asks.

"Training beastmen for other tribes. But now we will be more rich with salt. Good thing is that I won’t have to travel so much anymore." He answers.

"I imagine you never stop at home then."

"I never had a reason to stay at home. Now I do. And I have strong beastmen who can train others in my place." He answers with a smirk for her. She smiles too.

"If you traveled so much, you must have seen many beautiful females. Why did you get interested in me?"

"You’re the most beautiful I’ve seen."

"Just that?"

He takes another berry kind of fruit and eats it.

"All females always treated me the same way. Begging me to be their mate, because I’m beautiful and rich. Even if I know that females are rare, if all of them will react the same way, I can choose the best." He says. Well, that’s very much like him, she thinks. "You weren’t like that. You were always distant, even with your answers. I never imagined that I would have to court a female. Having to convince you to be my mate. You treat me like a normal male, not with interest or just to have a handsome male on your bed. And I saw how you treated the wolf boy..and Wayde. I got envious. I’m jealous of you constantly, and I didn’t imagine I would be. You made me feel things I didn’t know I could feel."

She smiles, happy to know that even him has a fragile side.

"I was envious of you too. Not because you’re rich. But because you seem not fearing anything, always so sure of yourself. I had to be strong to survive on my own, but on every corner I was scared. But it’s good to know you and I have weak sides, even if not everyone knows about them." She says.

"You’re the bravest. Even more than many males." He says, brushing her hair behind her ear. "Living alone for so many years, then accepting to change your life even without knowing about your past, how to shift, if you could trust others. I wouldn’t do what you did."

"I had to. I still fear tomorrow. But having you, Wayde and Zin makes me know that everything will be alright at the end."

He tenderly holds her face and brings her closer, then he softly kisses her lips.

They kiss again, and he never imagined her kiss would be so sweet and addicting.

Astri knows that Lee is a brat most of the time, but she likes that side of him too. He does that to have her attention somehow, and since he was used to having the attention without doing anything, he tries the ways he knows how to do it: like females.

He promised himself he would be gentle, but it’s hard not wanting to mark all of her body.

Her skin tastes heavenly, her moanings are like a song for him. Inside of her is so hot that it takes all of his self control to keep his mind centered.

Sometimes he wants to thrust harder, but he fears hurting her. Her pleasure is more important than his.

Astri didn’t imagine she would be mates with anyone soon, but Wayde, Lee and Zin are healing her heart every day.

If she thinks carefully, she doesn’t want them to find other females, so she knows she cares for them. However, she fears losing them the most. The pain of losing Dieg is still in her mind.

Astri already noticed that beastmen could go all night if the female doesn’t show she’s tired. Wayde and Dieg were like that, and Lee wasn’t different.

Lee helps clean her after they finish, she’s very tired so she lets him. While cleaning her back, he notices two marks that are barely different from her skin color.

His mark is on his left shoulder, taking the spot Dieg once was. He touches his mark and it reacts, becoming red.

He already saw that happening with Wayde, but it still makes him impressed.

He looks at his torso, on his left side his eagle mark has another pair of wings around it. He rubs his mark lovingly, he finally has the one to love forever.

She will be his forever.
