Beastmen Love-Chapter 27: You Will Have To Go Through Me First

In the morning, she wakes up with her head laid on his chest and hugging his waist.

She sees his mark and the other pair of wings around the eagle, then passes her fingers on it slowly, wondering if it would react, but it doesn’t. Wayde’s doesn’t react too.

"Admiring your handy work?" He says. She smiles and looks up at his face.

"Good morning to you too." She says and moves up to kiss his lips. He softly lets out a moan.

"Good morning. Don’t tempt me first thing in the morning, female."

"A kiss is not always a way to show that we want sex."

"I know, but after tasting you yesterday I want you everyday."

She rolls her eyes giggling.

"Idiot. Let’s go home."

When they’re back, there’s a commotion in front of their cabin, even leader Shung was in the front looking mad.

Lee lands between his family members and Shung with his daughter Ana and her spouses.

"What is happening?" Lee asks.

"The snake had beat a female. He had beat my daughter." Shung answers.

Lee looks at Zin, who is just watching quietly and with his arms crossed, like not caring at all. Wayde has the same attitude.

"What happened?" Astri asks Zin.

"It doesn’t matter! No male can hit a female!" One of Ana’s spouses screams. Ana is quiet, smiling like a winner.

Astri saw Ana’s smile and now she knows Ana’s up to something.

"With all due respect, leader Shung, but I want to hear from Zin what happened first." Astri speaks. She looks at Zin again. "Tell me, Zin."

"She was stepping on your flowers. The flowers you take care of everyday. I just pushed her away. I didn’t hit her, even if I wanted to. I don’t care if she’s a female, I just didn’t kill her because I knew it would bring problems to you." Zin answers.

Everyone looks at the broken flowers.

Astri holds her breath, trying to don’t explode in anger. Her family already sensed her mood change.

"He’s lying. He slapped my face." Ana speaks.

"He didn’t." Wayde says.

"And you believe in snakes?" Ana asks.

"Between him and you, I could swear on my life that he’s telling the truth and you’re the one lying." Astri answers.

"Did you step on my mate’s flowers?" Lee asks very serious to Ana. Ana looks at Lee, then looks at his beastmark. "Yes. We’re mates. Now, answer me."

"It’s just flowers." Ana answers, angry.

"She was wrong about invading your territory again, but it’s no excuse to hit on her face." Shung speaks.

"Zin has eight marks, if he really had hit her, her face would at least have a bruise and would be swollen. Her face is clean." Astri spits out.

Everyone looks at Ana and it’s true, her face is clean. Ana realized her mistake.

"It’s because I could step away! I’m telling the truth. The snake attacked me! Why are you believing in a snake?" Ana speaks desperately.

"Why are you changing your story now? You’re clearly lying." Lee spits.

Astri walks forward and stops in front of Ana, then punches Ana’s face.

Ana steps back holding her face, in shock. Astri always takes anyone by surprise because she always looks calm and gentle with everyone.

"Know that if you come to break my things or even step around our territory, I’m going to beat you up until you beg for help from daddy. Or you forgot what I did to you when you invaded our cabin?" Astri speaks so seriously that it makes everyone’s blood freeze. "And don’t think I fear your males. I can cut their balls off if they think of touching me and they will beg for my mates to beat them so they don’t feel so embarrassed." She looks at all of them now. "If any of you think of saying another bad word about Zin in front of me, you will have to face me, if you ever think of harming any of my spouses, you will have to go through me. If you’re fine with killing me, you’re welcome to try. Am I clear?" She tells everyone.

They just nod.

Lee, Wayde and Zin were even excited with the way she spoke. Zin was even more because she included him as her spouse.

"I’ll never believe a word you say, Ana! Do you want us to lose the powerful males we have and Lee’s tribe?!" Shung speaks as they are walking away, but already far from them.

Astri is checking her flowers, seeing if she can save any.

"Sorry.. I need to go. You take care of her for now." Wayde speaks, then shifts into his tiger form and runs away.

"Me too. Zin, take care of her." Lee flies away.

Astri looked at them confused, and shrugs her shoulders.

She finds some flowers intact, she thinks Ana didn’t step on all of them because Zin stopped her.

"Thank you for saving my flowers, Zin." She speaks, then she looks at him and he’s half-shifted.

It’s actually funny, because his skirt is still on him. He’s staring at her.

"What is it?"

"You.. When you were talking about spouses, you included me." Zin says.

"Erm.. I did." She blushes and stands up, while his mouth is wide open.

His heart was so happy that he couldn’t hold the tears to fall from his eyes. He was trembling trying to hold his tears, but he couldn’t.

Astri looked up at him again, still blushing, but then she saw him crying. She runs to him and holds his hands.

"What is it, Zin?" She asks, worried.

"I.. I’m happy.." He answers, still crying.

She smiles, then she pulls his hands for him to come down, he becomes too tall when he’s half-shifted.

She hugs his head and his eyes are wide, impressed with her actions.

"I like you, Zin. How could I not like you? You’re amazing. I’m not like the others, I don’t want you just to have your protection." She says.

He keeps crying and hugs her back, hiding his face on her shoulder.

Her heart aches watching him like that. He was taught all his life that he’s not worthy of anyone, and he can’t even hold his own happiness.

"Thank you.. I’ll protect you and love you forever. Even if I die, and if there’s another life, I’ll always love you." He says.

"I believe you."

He holds her face and they kiss tenderly. She feels he’s still trembling, but he was just nervous.

He never imagined he would have a mate who really wanted to have him as a spouse. He has a lot to learn if he wants to treat her the way she deserves.

He helps her by fixing her flower garden, removing the dead flowers, while she was having her private time for herself that no one knows that it’s her time with Claud.

After Wayde and Lee came back from finishing their business somewhere else, they saw Astri working on her garden, lost in thought again.

Zin walks to them.

"I have something to ask you." Zin speaks to Wayde.

Both of them had their attention on Zin, wondering what he was going to ask.

"Can you teach me how to be romantic and gentle?" Zin asks.

"What?" Both asked in unison.

"She accepted me as her mate. I don’t want to hurt her and I don’t know how to be romantic."

"Oh.."

They’re not against Zin, he’s good to Astri and she likes him.

"You actually already are romantic. You just don’t know that. Keep doing things that she likes and when it’s time just be sure to don’t force anything or use too much strength." Wayde answers.

"I see.. Thank you. I know where there are many colorful flowers. I’ll go take some for her to plant here." Zin speaks. They nod.

Zin slithers away. Wayde and Lee are sitting on the front porch watching Astri.

"I wonder why she gets so focused every morning like that." Lee speaks.

"I think she was always like that because she was always alone. She learned to don’t be like that because she has us now." Wayde tells.

"If I knew where she was raised I would burn the place and kill whoever made her a slave."

"Me too. What I wonder the most is how she can be so good after suffering so much."

"Yeah... She’s amazing. We’re lucky." Lee says and Wayde. "However, three spouses is enough for me. After Zin no other male is allowed near her."

"I agree."

Beastmen know that it is normal for females to have many spouses, but most of them are also jealous of their females.

They only accept because the female wants more males, but if they could they would have only a few of them to share their females.

"She’s already biased towards Zin, will she be more loving with him too?" Lee asks, already jealous.

"I don’t think so. One thing that Astri had shown me is that she treats her males the same way they treat her. She’s not like others."

"No female protects her spouses like that indeed." Lee says, smiling and getting excited again and Wayde smiles feeling the same.

Zin took a wooden box with him, so he can gather as many flowers as he can get. He’s feeling so much happiness that if he learned about a rare flower he would go after it for Astri.

Zin is sure that no other snake ever felt this much happiness.

He brings the box of flowers back and her smile when she saw them meant the world to him. They replant the flowers and the garden is colorful again.
