"A mere human!?" The Tiger King roared, his voice shattering the fabric of space. "Meant to give us retribution!?? What nonsense!!"

The Tiger King descended from his throne, shoving his subordinate out of the way in the process. "I'd like to see this Non-Clan human for myself! And after I've taken a good enough look at him, I'll skin the worm and adorn my fire mantle with it—"

BOOOOM—!!

Just as the Tiger King prepared himself for flight, a large tunnel was drilled through the side of his castle.

"I hear there's a kitty in these parts that requires my help," a voice echoed as a figure made his descent from the mile-long tunnel he had just created. "I'll now tell you the two ways I can help. You choose which one you prefer. One: You give up, and I'll kill you as painlessly as possible. Or Two: I kill you without caring about your feelings. Choose now, kitty-cat."

"YOU DARE!??"

WAAA!

"Woah, so scary," Knox casually commented while clapping his hands. "Can you jump through fiery rings as well? I've always wanted to recreate a scene like that."

The Tiger King's fury seared a hole through the castle's roof as his aura engulfed the building as well as everything for hundreds of miles.

Half-step Soul Formation Realm!

"Wow," Knox praised, his expression practically fawning over the Tiger King. "You're a bit stronger than the Hippo was. I suppose you'll have to do for today's sword practice. And don't worry, so as to make this more fair, you strike first. I won't dodge."

The Tiger King was so lost in his own ocean of anger that he completely overlooked the comment about a hippo—a Hippo King who had once been a good friend of the Tiger King. That very Hippo King had valued their friendship so much that he sold the Tiger King out the second he believed it would save his own life.

"The Hippo gave me quite the run for my money," Knox said as his demeanor completely changed. "Let's see if you can do the same."

SHING! CLANG!

In a nanosecond, his Intent Sword clashed with the Tiger King's massive Greatsword. The Tiger King used his immense physical prowess to push his opponent back, only to then bellow out and unleash an even more powerful primal strength.

*Fwooop—!*

The Tiger King zipped forward at dozens of times the speed of light. He reached his target's position in the blink of an eye, with his Greatsword swinging down at full power.

The ground beneath them cracked before the Greatsword even hit, causing massive damage to the castle.

"DIE!!!"

The castle split in two!

A giant hole in the earth opened up underneath where the two halves of the castle had split. Lava and magma gushed out like geysers, killing hundreds of tiger-kin in the process.

However, despite the large-scale destruction happening around him, Knox's calm gaze stayed on the tip of the Tiger King's Greatsword. The weapon was of the Earth-rank, making it an extremely lethal treasure item. And with the addition of its wielder's strength, the Greatsword's full power was unleashed.

While the space around Knox collapsed at a rapid rate, his eyes flickered toward a particular spot.

The Nascent Soul Realm tiger-kin who had reported his presence had been unable to flee in time. Though he had initially resisted his King's might, in the face of a Half-step Soul Formation Realm Cultivator, even residual energy was more than enough to eradicate dozens of weaker Nascent Soul Realm beings.

"Killing all your kinsmen," Knox said coldly. "That's not very nice of you, now is it?"

"YOUU!!!"

RUMBLE!!

The world trembled beneath the sheer pressure of the Tiger King's might. Crevices thousands of meters in length opened up. Lava spewed from the cracks, and massive chunks of molten rock rained from the sky.

It was like Hell on Earth.

However, with just two fingers, Knox stopped the ensuing destruction in its tracks. Nipped between his fingers was the Earth-rank Greatsword that the Tiger King treasured more dearly than his own life—

*Snap!*

He snapped the sword in two!

A sadistic smirk crept up Knox's relatively handsome face as he lunged the broken Greatsword's top half into the Tiger King's stomach. Blood spewed from the whisker-covered mouth of the beast as he slowly looked down, his eyes filled with both anger and fear.

"You seemed like you really liked that sword," Knox said as he intentionally twisted the broken blade lodged deep in the Tiger King's intestines. "So I figured you'd appreciate it if I brought the two of you a little closer. Well? Do you like it?"

"Arghhh!!!" The Tiger King shouted in anguish. "F*ck you, bastard!!!"

"Ahh, that blows," Knox said with a frown. "Guess my kind gesture didn't get through to you as I hoped it would."

"Well, no matter," he continued as his expression became devoid of all emotion. "If you don't like my gift, then so be it. You'll be dying either way, after all."

"!!!"

SHING!

As soon as the Tiger King struck out with what remained of his Greatsword, Knox reacted. His hand moved faster than the Tiger King's, and in a seamless sequence of blurry movements, he snatched the Greatsword before slicing horizontally.

SPURT!

A giant tiger head flew off the neck to which it had once been attached. In the same moment, Knox flashed forward, cutting the Tiger King's body into thousands of pieces.

"You won't get away with this!!" The Tiger King's Nascent Soul shrieked while escaping from his diced-up corpse.

Just as Knox was about to slash out with his Intent Sword to finish the job, the Tiger King uttered something that stopped him in his tracks:

"You'll rue the day you ever messed with the Tiger-kin when I report back to Emperor Yin Tiger—my Senior Brother!"

"Ho?" Knox smirked, suddenly dispersing all his energy. He then stumbled and dropped his Intent Sword, watching in despair as it slid across the ground.

"Oh no…! I somehow fell, and now I can't kill the awesome Tiger Master!"

"Hahaha!" The Tiger King's Nascent Soul erupted in laughter as it fled into the horizon. "You fool!"
