Attribute Farming System-Chapter 48: Who Will Get The Most?, Purpledream Sister’s Covet
BLING!
Just as the people hoped, colossal illusory blue screens depicting the scenes inside the Secret Realm spawned in multiple locations in the sky. Each of the screens had dozens of smaller boxed screens on them, all representing young cultivators who had entered the Devilstar Secret Realm.
"Brother Skycloud, who do you think will come out with the most rewards?"
A man dressed in Thunder Elemental robes approached the Patriarch of the Skycloud Palace Sect. This man also just so happened to be a Patriarch—the Sect Leader of the Rank 3 Thunderclap Temple. Moreover, he too was in the Early Soul Formation Realm, just like the Skycloud Palace's Patriarch.
"Who do I think will profit the most?" Patriarch Skycloud repeated, his aged gaze focused on the screens that followed his Sect's Disciples. "As a Sect Leader, naturally, I'd want to believe that my Disciples will take the majority of the rewards, but that is simply wishful thinking. In all honesty, Lucidador, the 13th Princess, the two Children of the Water Deity, Lenon, and the Duke's Heirs have the highest probability of leaving the Secret Realm with the most profit."
"The Duke's Heirs?" Patriarch Thunderclap asked. "You mean the twins of Duke Softshore?"
Patriarch Skycloud nodded.
"Those two girls are indeed exceptional, likely even exceeding the prospects of Lenon and Star-Gazer Child," Patriarch Thunderclap admitted. "But don't you think it's a bit ridiculous to believe that they'll do better than the likes of Lucidador, Nala, and the 13th Princess??"
Patriarch Skycloud laughed cryptically. "You never know what could happen. The twins might just surprise us all and put the Softshore Duke Household back on the map."
"That would indeed be something fantastical to witness," Patriarch Thunderclap said as he stroked his medium-length gray and black beard. "However, if the Softshore Duke does end up making a comeback because of the efforts of his daughters, Duke Dezmond, Willow, and Demi surely won't just sit back and watch themselves be surpassed."

Patriarch Skycloud wisely chuckled. "For all the busybody monks you have in your Temple, you still don't know of the potential of the Duke Descendants?" he asked. "Duke Dezmond, Duke Willow, and Duke Demi all have competent heirs. A number of them are even rumored to have Heaven-ranked Cultivation Talent or the equivalent of it. I even hear that Duke Willow's Eldest Daughter has already been scouted by the Purpledream Witch Isles."
"!??"
"The massive congregation of islands ruled by the Purpledream Grand Witch!? The Sect where even Void Refining and Virtual Destruction Experts aren't uncommon???" Patriarch Thunderclap asked with widened eyes. "Those Purpledream Witch Isles!??"
Patriarch Skycloud nodded. "If anything, I'd be more worried about the other three Dukes ganging up on Duke Willow," he said. "Then again, with her Eldest Daughter's presumed status as a Sister of the Purpledream Witch Covet, I doubt anyone in the Elemental Nations would be daring enough to mess with Duke Willow. Not even the Azura Empire would rashly conflict with the interests of the Purpledream Grand Witch."
"...If this is true, then it could very well forever alter the political climate of the Water Kingdom and the Elemental Nations," Patriarch Thunderclap muttered, still very much in disbelief. "But just what sort of prospects does Duke Willow's daughter have for the Purpledream Witch Isles to personally scout her?? Does she have Cultivation Talent beyond the Heaven-rank!??"
Patriarch Skycloud shook his head. "No, a beyond Heaven-rank Talent hasn't been seen in the Elemental Nations for tens of thousands of years," he said. "Back during a prosperous time when the Elemental Nations was a much more vital Region of the Azura Empire. An era where Soul Transformation and even Void Refining Realm Masters were everywhere. But no, it wasn't because of her cultivation talent that Duke Willow's daughter was scouted."
"Then what??"
"Although it's only a rumor for now," Patriarch Skycloud whispered, cautiously surveying his surroundings, "I hear it's due to an Innate Physique that suits the Purpledream Sister's Covet very well. Though, with it only being in the Heaven-rank, no matter how much it suits the Sister Covet, she probably won't ever become anything more than an Outer Disciple."
"But even that is…"
"Yes," Patriarch Skycloud said. "Even an Outer Disciple of the Purpledream Witch Isles exceeds the statuses of all our Kings, Sect Leaders, and other famous figures like the Blade King, the Aqua Arbiter, and the Sword Saint. This is simply the way of the World of Cultivation."
"Indeed…"
A silence encompassed the two of them for a moment before suddenly being cut through by the teleportation of a Skycloud Palace Elder. It was the one who had initially received the reports from the Disciples who went to requisition the Voidborn Sect's Territory. And as he whispered next to Patriarch Skycloud's ear, the Patriarch's expression became increasingly more sinister.
"Oh?" Patriarch Skycloud mused. "You're saying he looked something like this?" he asked as he used his memory and Innate Energy to Qi-draw a portrait of a man who looked as if he fell from the Heavens. "Does this match the description of the man you're talking about?"
"Yes!" the Elder exclaimed. "According to my Disciples, the man was quite a bit more handsome, but everything else checks out. This is him!"
"Hmm…" Patriarch Skycloud pondered.
The Skycloud Elder slightly tilted his head in confusion. "Do you know who this man is, Sect Leader?"
Patriarch Skycloud nodded. "I believe I do," he said, taking a dramatic pause. "Knox Falazar—the Eldest Son of the Falazar Family. Also the only heir of the Falazars to be banished in the last thousand years. Of course I know of him."
"!??" The Elder's expression warped in surprise. "You're saying this is the same Knox Falazar who's wanted by both the Sect Leader of the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect as well as three Counts!? And as outlandish as the allegations are, even the Water Deity Sect is out to get him on grounds of him being the prime culprit of the murder of Tear-Drop Child! That Knox Falazar!? The infamous crippled genius??"
The Elder's voice accidentally came out loud enough for Patriarch Thunderclap and just about everyone else in the vicinity to hear him. This included the people of Count Falazar's Spirit Ship, Count Bonanier's Spirit Ship, and… the Water Deity's Children.
