Ascension Online: I Grow Stronger By Streaming-Chapter 34: Weak Raider

Kai’s eyes fixed on the bull, but sadly, he wasn’t fast enough to use appraisal before the bull was already in front of him.

"Shit, I wasn’t able to do anything." Kai thought. He knew there was no time, so he swung downward at the head of the bull.

"Hahahaha, that’s not gonna be enough, dude." The raider yelled, laughing like someone that was going mad with excitement.

CLANG!

The sword collided with the head of the bull, but rather than be trampled, he managed to keep his footing while getting pushed back.

His feet dragged into the ground. He gritted his teeth and pushed back with everything that he had in him. "Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh."

Finally, the pull came to a stop, and Kai skidded backwards a few meters before stopping.

"Tch, die already." The raider yelled. The bull rushed ahead again.

Kai didn’t panic. He charged forward again, running like he was going to slam into the bull again.

"You have a death wish, I see." The raider yelled, this time planning to completely step on Kai.

But as the bull rushed forward, it went horn first toward Kai, and that was exactly what Kai wanted. He slashed to the side with all his strength. The sword hit the horn, managing to deflect it downward. It stabbed into the ground, and immediately Kai rushed onto it, running upward on the bull.

The raider was stunned when this happened, eyes widened, the shock evident. He quickly pulled his sword to counter Kai, but Kai was already in front of him. Kai kicked the raider right in the chest, throwing him off the bull while he kept down at the same time.

The bull, knowing that it was free now, immediately wanted to rush ahead and cause havoc, but Kai’s quest remained to save everyone to the best of his ability, so intentionally allowing the bull to run would go against that.

He spun around. The bull was about to rush ahead, he had to be fast. Kai gritted his teeth and lunged. "Butterfly Dance." He called out. His speed rose as he crossed the distance in almost half a second.

The bull turned around in an attempt to attack and take down Kai, but Kai moved far too fast and unpredictably. He stepped to the side just when the horn was to impale him, and then slashed for the neck. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

The blade dug into the flesh, blood splattered as the bull let out a painful cry and collapsed to the ground.

Kai swung his blade downward, the blood on it hit the floor in a splatter. He turned his head, looking at the man that lay on the floor there, the raider.

The raider stared at the body of what used to be his bull. He had received that when he rose to become someone in the group, and now he had lost it.

"Arghhhhh, you fuck." He cursed in rage and got on his feet, picking up his sword. His level didn’t show, which means he was hiding it.

Kai didn’t have a problem with that though. He used appraisal and easily knew that he was level sixteen.

"Level sixteen, tch, and they are attacking like they have some sort of massive power, or maybe this fool is just one of the weaker ones. He does act like a kid." Kai came to the conclusion.

He took a step back and lifted his sword, ready to fight.

"Chat, what do you think I should do here? Nuke him with a spell or fight it out with swords?" Kai asked.

He glanced at his viewer count and he was already at four thousand and rapidly rising.

Kai read a few quickly, and they were basically telling him to beat the enemy down, and he was definitely up for the task.

"Hey! Are you distracted when I’m facing you?" The raider said, his rage immediately sparked and he rushed to attack.

"Die, you freaking weakling."

His sword came down fast on Kai. Kai stepped back and lifted his sword, blocking the attack with ease.

CLANG

The raider looked at his sword that was easily blocked by Kai, and his eyes widened in shock.

"What the hell?" He asked. "You’ll not get lucky anymore." He roared and proceeded to attack with an onslaught of attacks at Kai, left, right, center. He thrust fast and precisely, showing that he had some good skill with the blade.

Kai backed up while parrying and blocking every attack. He didn’t miss a single beat. If someone was going to make life hard for him, it was definitely not going to be this level sixteen raider.

Clang

Clang Clang

Their swords echoed against each other, but Kai sadly didn’t have the time to waste here, so he pressed forward, slashing down with all his strength. The raider believed it would be an easy block, but was wrong.

The sword blasted through his defense with ease and cut into his shoulder. Blood immediately gushed out as his health dropped.

He staggered backwards in disbelief, looking at Kai who stood there like he had done something heroic.

Kai flicked his sword to the side, the blood stained the ground. He smiled from ear to ear. "Really? Is that all you’re good for? Talk with no substance? That can’t be all, can it?" Kai mocked him. Despite the smile, his eyes held nothing but detest and disgust for the raider.

The raider glared at Kai. He gripped his sword, rage taking over. "I’ll cut you down, bastard, no matter what it takes." He roared and then activated his class ability. His strength instantly soared as he was of the warrior class. He received a temporary buff that even stopped the bleeding effect from the cut.

"Let’s see how you handle me at my full strength." He roared, and burst forward.

BOOM

The ground cracked as he moved.
