Arriving in the Naruto world by filling out a form-Chapter 332: That Little Twerp Would Smile For Ramen.
Ren stared at the final reward notification for several long seconds before opening it. He had already received talent spins, mastery points, affinity boosts, things that made sense in a structured way.
But this one was different.
A title, and it was tied specifically to altering Sasuke’s fate. That wasn’t small, that wasn’t a side ripple.
That was something foundational.
He exhaled once and opened it.
[TITLE UNLOCKED: PILLAR OF DIVERGENCE]
The moment the words appeared, something shifted.
It wasn’t inside him, it wasn’t in his chakra network.
It was... external.
His head snapped toward the window instinctively. He stood up and walked toward it slowly, pushing it open just slightly.
The night sky stretched above Konoha, quiet and still, stars scattered like distant embers.
But he felt something.
It was not chakra or killing intent, it was not a presence even, it was subtler.
A disturbance.
A ripple.
At his current level, his sensitivity to chakra and flow was absurd. Between perfected Hyperfocus, Grandmaster chakra control, and his understanding of the Flow, he could sense fluctuations most shinobi would never even register.
And right now, the air felt... tense.
Like a string pulled slightly tighter.
He couldn’t pinpoint it but he knew something had reacted. He narrowed his eyes slightly, then shifted his attention back to the only clue he had.
The title description.
---
[Pillar of Divergence]
You are the pillar that will alter the fate of this world. However, the world does not allow divergence to go unnoticed. Every action has consequence. Every change creates resistance.
As the wielder of this title, you and those under your influence are capable of resisting the will of the world.
Additional Effects:
- The original locks placed upon the user at birth will begin to loosen even without system-triggered rewards.
- The user becomes more sensitive to changes in the Flow of the world.
---
Ren read it twice, thrice and four times, but his brow furrowed slightly everytime
He had always known there were locks placed on him.
That much had been clear from the beginning.
There were abilities he instinctively felt should exist, latent instincts, incomplete potential, sealed ceilings that weren’t natural. But he never knew exactly when those locks had been placed.
Were they applied when he was born as Tobirama’s grandson?
Or were they imposed when his memories awakened?
The system had never clarified. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
What he did know was this, every time he made a significant canon shift, every time he altered something major, the system didn’t just reward him with stats.
It rewarded him with some talents, some subtle rewards that would help him develop something like the hardening.
It was as if the "original Ren Senju", the one meant to be born with absurd potential as Tobirama’s grandson had been partially suppressed and the system was feeding it back piece by piece.
But now this title claimed something else.
The locks would begin loosening even without direct system rewards.
That was new.
That meant his growth wouldn’t be entirely tied to explicit canon alterations.
He leaned back against the wall slowly.
’Does that mean I don’t need to force changes anymore?’
Could he just lie down and let things unfold? Would the locks keep loosening automatically?
For a moment, the thought tempted him.
He had already shifted so much.
The Uchiha massacre was prevented, Itachi awakened EMS, Zetsu had been exposed, Danzo was gone, Stone and Cloud had recalculated which meant that the political board was already flipped.
Maybe the world had acknowledged him as the pivot point.
Maybe now it would adjust around him naturally.
As if reading his thoughts, another notification appeared.
[NOTICE: The locks will only loosen if the user proves to be the Pillar of Divergence.]
Ren hummed softly.
’...Of course.’
He wasn’t allowed to idle.
The title wasn’t a passive cheat code, it was a responsibility. The world would resist divergence, every major shift would create counterforce.
If he stopped pushing, the locks would stagnate.
The system was evolving, that much was clear. When he was weaker, rewards were direct and frequent.
Now?
He was strong enough that even minor actions had large ripples.
The system couldn’t hand out explicit bonuses every time he breathed differently from canon. So instead, it shifted to a more organic growth model.
If he continued to reshape the world meaningfully, the locks would loosen.
If he stagnated, so would they.
He looked back at the sky.
That faint tension he sensed earlier?
That was probably the "world’s resistance" mentioned in the title.
Fate wasn’t passive, it wasn’t just a script.
It was pressure and now he was officially recognized as the anomaly.
The divergence point.
He smirked faintly.
’So basically... if I move, the world pushes back.’
That wasn’t new.
He had felt it before in subtler ways. Zetsu’s reaction, unexpected escalations, political volatility.
But now it had a name.
He closed his eyes briefly and focused on his perception.
There were tiny fluctuations in the ambient chakra, it was not dramatic, but noticeable.
Like currents adjusting around a rock in a river.
He exhaled slowly.
’Resisting the will of the world, huh...’
The most interesting line wasn’t even about himself. It was about those under his influence. That meant his divergence extended outward.
Naruto, Sasuke, the Entire Leaf Village.
Anyone walking his path would be less bound by the original flow.
That was massive.
It meant their potential wouldn’t be dragged back toward canon collapse as easily. It meant he wasn’t alone in the anomaly.
He leaned away from the window and returned to sit on his bed.
The grin that slowly formed this time wasn’t chaotic, it was sharp and focused.
If the world was going to resist him...
He grinned.
Resistance meant acknowledgment, he wasn’t a side character anymore, he wasn’t just exploiting mechanics.
He was now officially part of the cosmic equation.
The Pillar of divergence.
And if the locks were going to loosen only when he proved it, then he would not by lying down, not by playing safe.
But by reshaping the board until the world itself had no choice but to adapt.
He glanced once more at the sky before closing the window.
~
Ren sat back down cross-legged on his bed and forced himself to calm down.
The title had been heavy.
He didn’t want to immediately stack affinity boosts on top of that and accidentally shake something else in the sky again. So he decided to hold off on claiming the Fire and Yin affinity upgrades for now. No rush. He would consolidate everything together later.
Instead, he scrolled down to the smaller rewards.
The ones he had ignored earlier.
One notification blinked gently.
He opened it.
---
[CANON SHIFT DETECTED: GIFTING GAMA-CHAN TO NARUTO UZUMAKI]
[REWARD: A SINCERE SMILE OF NARUTO UZUMAKI]
---
Ren stared at the screen.
His expression slowly flattened.
Then his eye twitched.
’...Are you serious?’
He leaned back and stared at the ceiling for a full five seconds before exploding internally.
’That little twerp would smile for a bowl of ramen too! What is this reward supposed to do for me?!’
He imagined Naruto grinning ear to ear over literally anything remotely positive and felt personally attacked by the system’s sentimentality.
"Useless!" he muttered out loud, clicking his tongue.
Then he paused.
He replayed the memory for half a second.
Naruto clutching Gama-chan.
That stupidly bright grin.
The way it hadn’t been loud or boastful, just... pure.
Ren’s irritation softened for a microsecond but then he shook his head violently.
’No. No emotional manipulation. I reject it.’
He swiped the panel away.
The next notification appeared and this one made his grin return immediately.
---
[CANON SHIFT DETECTED: DEATH OF DANZO SHIMURA]
[FUCK DANZO MISSION TIMELINE]
Dismantling Danzo’s schemes one by one, causing him despair. (Complete)
Killing Danzo after making him lose all hope. (Complete)
Handling the fallout of Danzo’s death. (Complete)
[Bonus Condition: Give happiness to those affected by Danzo’s actions] (Complete)
---
Ren leaned back slowly.
Now this, this was satisfying.
He would have done it anyway, the rewards were a bonus. There was no universe where he would have let Danzo continue breathing.
But if the system insisted on compensating him for righteous violence, who was he to refuse?
He opened the first reward.
---
[Dismantling Danzo’s Schemes One by One, Causing Him Despair]
Reward: 2 S-Rank Points, 2 Master-Level Mastery Points
Then he opened the second.
---
[Killing Danzo After Making Him Lose All Hope]
Reward: 5 S-Rank Points, 1 Kage-Level Point, 5 Master-Level Mastery Points, 1 Talent Spin, Title: Pillar of Divergence (Upgraded)
---
Ren’s eyes widened slightly at that last part.
Upgraded.
He hadn’t even fully understood the normal title and now it had been upgraded.
Then he opened the third.
---
[Handling the Fallout of Danzo’s Death]
Reward: 2 S-Rank Points, 2 Master-Level Mastery Points
And finally...
---
[Bonus Condition: Giving Happiness to Those Affected by Danzo’s Actions]
Reward: Special Stat Unlocked
[Note: Since the user stacked the rewards, rewards will be doubled. (Except Special Stat)]
---
For a full second, Ren didn’t react, then he launched upward off the bed.
"YES!"
He was literally bouncing, actually bouncing. He had intentionally not claimed this reward earlier and had stacked it.
He knew stacking would double the standard reward categories.
He had just waited.
And now...
Eighteen S-Rank points.
Two Kage-Level points.
Eighteen Master-Level mastery points.
Two Talent Spins.
All from Danzo alone.
He fell backward onto the mattress, laughing.
’This is why patience matters.’
For a brief, traitorous moment, he thought, ’Maybe I made Danzo despair a little too much...’
Then he pictured Danzo’s face in his final moments.
The paranoia.
The bitterness.
The manipulative smugness collapsing into hopelessness.
Ren’s expression flattened.
"Never mind."
He dismissed the sympathy immediately. Some people didn’t deserve clean endings.
Ren shook off the last trace of pity like it was dust on his sleeve and focused again.
Danzo was dead.
The rewards were not.
He opened the final notification first, the one that hadn’t doubled.
The one labeled Special Stat.
The screen shimmered slightly before the panel expanded.
---
[SPECIAL STAT UNLOCKED: PRESENCE]
Presence is the combined weight of: Chakra Density, Control, Reputation and Intent. The higher the Presence, the greater its effects.
Effects:
- High-level shinobi naturally possess strong Presence.
- The higher the Presence stat, the more instinctive respect, caution, and pressure the user exerts on subordinates, allies, and enemies alike.
- Presence increases directly through level progression and achievements.
---
Ren raised one eyebrow slowly, he reread it once. Then leaned back against the wall.
Special stats had always been like this. They didn’t directly boost strength the way raw points did. They didn’t give flashy explosions or new techniques. Instead, they worked in the background, subtle, passive, always active.
He knew better than to dismiss something just because it wasn’t loud.
Chakra density, control, reputation and intent.
That was interesting.
This wasn’t just power, it was weight.
The invisible pressure that made a battlefield fall silent when someone stepped onto it.
The reason some shinobi commanded attention without speaking.
The reason even enemies hesitated for a fraction of a second.
He tapped the stat panel.
[Presence: 88]
Ren nodded slowly, that number made sense.
High S-Rank strength, flee-on-sight orders from two great villages, defeating S-Rankers and Jinchuriki, changing the fate of the Uchiha, public humiliation of two major nations.
Yeah, Eighty-eight felt about right.
He thought back to the negotiation tent. The silence when he threatened Kitsuchi’s arm, the way even S-Rankers paused when he leaned back casually, the way Darui had measured him, the way Killer B had grinned instead of dismissing him.
Presence wasn’t fake.
It wasn’t just reputation, it was the alignment of strength and certainty.
Ren exhaled softly.
He could already feel it sometimes, when lower-ranked shinobi stiffened slightly around him, when even elders spoke more carefully, when conversations subtly shifted direction once he entered a room.
He dismissed the panel.
Then he opened the upgraded title and the letters shimmered again.
[Pillar of Divergence (35%)]
Ren’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully.
Thirty-five percent.
He began calculating subconsciously.
Saving Itachi, changing the Uchiha fate, killing Danzo, being the catalyst of Tsunade’s hemophobia and the many other things he did.
Each major divergence must have pushed it upward.
Thirty-five percent wasn’t small.
That meant more than a third of the "intended" flow had already been altered.
He flexed his fingers slowly.
Once he claimed the remaining rewards that percentage would likely climb further.
But more importantly, the locks. If the percentage correlated with loosening the original restrictions placed on him at birth...
Then he was steadily reclaiming something.
Something that belonged to Tobirama’s bloodline, something that had been suppressed.
He leaned back, letting that thought simmer.
Then finally, he turned to the talent spins.
He now had four in total for the night.
Two from the Uchiha reward which had already been claimed.
Two from Danzo.
He spun.
The familiar wheel appeared, rotating with a quiet hum.
Symbols blurred past.
Minor talents.
Major talents.
Ex-tier flashes.
Then the wheel slowed and stopped.
Ren’s eyes widened instantly.
---
[NEW TALENT: SENJUTSU (EX)]
~~~~~
{Hm hm hm~ Finally the greatest reward of them all, but is it really ok? Who knows}
{Anyways, there won’t be any more titles, maybe the fifth Hokage title, but not any other one like this one.
Also, do you guys have some nicknames or titles in mind, like the original characters had, The child of Prophecy, The last Uchiha, the clan killer, I can’t really find one to go with for Ren, so suggest me some.}
{No Chapter tomorrow, enjoy Saturday.}
