Apocalypse: Infinite Breaker Online-Chapter 36: Using Card Constructor, Prime Gears
The group arrived at a safe area 3 kilometers away from the Karaga Ruins.
"Well, Karaga Ruins are great. We can’t hunt those many at once, but we can still pick two or three at a time, and we’ll do just that." Axir grinned. "My damage will be even higher now since I am dumping all my points into Agility and Arcane."
He had 175 points to distribute. 140 from leveling, and 35 that he already has.
"Indeed. Let’s become quick movement-wise and raise our perception so we can have some leverage to do some attacks against these high-level monsters." Siddha nodded. "For that, we’ll need to put points in Agility and Perception. Axir can put points in Arcane since he scales damage of his weapon, but we don’t need to deal damage here."
"That does sound good, but handling three might be too much. They become immune to stun, so only the rifle’s gravity prison will work, and I need 3 seconds per bullet, but the first bullet on each must be sequence 2 to apply to the Doom Blaze Mark." Maria said. "Since that’s our main damage aside from Axir’s Ashveil Edge’s stacks."
"Aunt May, switch your weapon with senior Siddha," Axir said. "We have two more holes there already, so we don’t need to dig more."
"As for not being able to handle three..." Axir grinned. "For that, I’ll just need to become more powerful."
Waving his hand, he took out something.
Card Constructor!
"Oh, you are going to use that stuff?" Robin blinked, his eyes shining. "We have seven of those from the seven Elite dungeons we cleared."
"But what about the resources?" James asked.
Axir smiled. "Wait for two seconds."
Saying that, Axir disappeared.
Teleported to the Seraphel Kingdom.
Accessed his Permanent Storage function and transferred resources into his Inventory.
Returned to the same spot.
Total cost: 92 gold coins.
"Alright, so we have the resources. Everyone has different Card Constructors, but what I need is attack speed. So that I can inflict a lot of stacks."
Everyone nodded.
"Check this Card Constructor that I have."
[Card Constructor]
—Fill the slots with required catalysts and create a card.
- Slot 1: Random Weapon.
- Slot 2: Random Fire-attributed resource.
- Slot 3: Random Material of a Tier-3 or higher.
- Keywords: Add up to 3 words to affect the outcome.
"Based on that first slot that requires a weapon, it’s safe to assume that the card will be an attack-type card."
"So what we want is not that, but this."
Axir took out another Card Constructor.
Since he was the one who found the dungeons, he had also kept all the Card Constructors. He also checked all equipment to see what stats they rolled, and finally acquired boots with a +20 charm stat, so he equipped them. He didn’t care about set effects as he already had an arsenal of strong cards, so he sought special stats from equipment.
"As you can see, this card constructor’s slots are more unrestricted, so this will be more influenced by Keywords."
[Card Constructor]
—Fill the slots with required catalysts and create a card.
- Slot 1: Random Item.
- Slot 2: Random Resource x 1.
- Slot 3: Random Flower-type resource of Tier-5 or higher.
- Keyword: Add up to 2 words to affect the outcome.
"This is pretty unrestrictive." Ling nodded, curious.
"Let’s make a card now." Axir grinned. He took out a flower first.
Sunborn Tejas Flower, the highest-ranked and most potent resource in his arsenal.
Siddha and others were surprised as they saw its name and rank.
"Legendary Prime 2.0? What high-level stuff is this?" Robin asked in surprise.
"Well...in short, levels 1 to 100 are considered Tier-1 to 10. Level 100 to 200 is considered Prime 1.0 to 2.0, level 200 to 300 is considered Prime 2.1 to 3.0, and so on."
"Does that mean this flower is from a level 200 area?" James asked, surprised. "Could it be the resource requirement for the ancient ground in the Suryax Kingdom?"
"That should be the case." Siddha nodded.
"Yep." Axir grinned. "So there it goes."
The flower vanished, and one slot on the rectangle card constructor floating before Axir glowed. In the screen window that only he could see, some changes appeared.
- Slot 1: Random Item.
- Slot 2: Random Resources.
- Slot 3: Sunborn Tejas Flower Prime 2.0
- Keywords: —
"For the random item, I’ll use these Tier-5 boots that have a speed buff effect."
"And for the random resource, I’ll add this Prime-1 Wind and Light attributed Onion-like resource."
"Now, last step. The keywords. I can only put two keywords, so I’ll write....Celerity for action speed, which also encompasses attack speed, and second...Multiplication."
"Why Multiplication?" Aunt Kira curiously asked.
"Gambling." Axir grinned. "I am just hoping that this card will have effects to multiply something, and if it’s the stacks I inflict, that would be awesome."
"Can’t you write StackMultiplication as one word?" Ling curiously asked.
"Nope. I tried, but it doesn’t let me put two words like that. Moreover, there are unique words you can find in various scriptures and stuff, which you can use as a keyword."
"That’s interesting." Sakamoto caressed his thin beard while nodding.
People didn’t know how broken this game was going to be.
Card Constructors, dropped cards, event cards, shop cards, a myriad of decks, and all that allowed people to create crazy combat builds.
The Card Constructor glowed and then turned into sparks. Those sparks glimmered colorfully before gathering into a card.
[ Congratulations, you have created a 10-star card—Sunlit Motion Engine ]
’10-star, huh? Pretty low. I was at least expecting Prime-1.’
Siddha and others eagerly inspected the card upon seeing it materialize.
[Sunlit Motion Engine]
-Card Type: Passive
-Card Quality: 10-star
-Cost: 15% Mana Capacity.
Effect:
—> Sunlit Fuel can be gathered by absorbing sunlight (+10% absorb speed per 100 Arcane stat) or consuming fire-based energy. Sunlit Fuel: 0/1000.
—> Using 100 fuel can increase your action speed by 50%, up to 500%.
—> Using 500 fuel can double the number of projectiles you release with your next card.
"A 10-star card? Ain’t that pretty awesome?" Robin raised his eyebrows. "It’s crazy powerful."
"That cost...so does that mean it will seal 15% of your mana capacity while you have this card?" Siddha blinked. "But it will cost Sunlit Fuel, which can be filled pretty easily, I assume."
"Yep." Axir nodded. "The sunlight is increasing gradually, but I can just keep some potions of pure fire energy to refill the fuel instantly."
"Anyway, this is good enough. With 500% boost in attack speed, nothing will survive here." Axir grinned. "Wait here a bit. I’ll go back to the city and bring back a bunch of low-tier Fire-based resources."
He left and soon returned.
He also used his stat points, distributing them.
[Axir Grimspire]
Level: 78
Power Level: 83,290
Vitality: 1000/1000
Mana: 2000/2000
<Basic Stats: 0>
Constitution: 100
Agility: 175
Perception: 100
Arcane: 200
<Special Stats: 0>
Luck: 11
Charm: 21
The group held hands and once again went back to the same place. The monsters that had gathered previously already scattered.
Axir picked up the material drops of the Goliath Skeleton Brute, including one piece of equipment. "Take a look at this beauty."
[Raithorn Death Light Armor]
Rank: Prime-2 | Rare
Requirement: 200 Agility, 100 Arcane.
<Equip Boost>
—> +150% Constitution.
—> +100% Agility.
<Effect>
—> When your Vitality drops below 50%, gain a shield equil 200% of your Vitality. Lasts for 10 minutes. Cooldown: 15 minutes.
"What the fuck?" Robin was dumbfounded. "Wait, does this double the stats?"
Axir grinned as he equipped the armor.
Everyone looked at his stats, and their eyes glinted. His agility doubled, and his Constitution increased by 150%! Insane boost.
"Alright, without further ado, I’ll bring two monsters first and then increase the quantity a bit. Make sure they both are crippled using the weapons."
Soon, Axir brought back two monsters, both being Goliath Skeleton Brutes.
He had also slashed one of the brutes multiple times using Librated Drift, inflicting over a hundred stacks already, so it was already taking damage.
[Axir: Sakamoto-san, hit both of them one by one with precision. Don’t miss, or a few of us will instantly die.]
[Sakamoto: Leave it to me.]
