Apocalypse: I Built the Infinite Train-Chapter 136: The Swarm of Jellyfish
Lu Xingchen stood there, dumbfounded.
In the chaos of battle… someone had stolen his RV?!
BZZZZZZZ—
On the distant street, seeing Qiu Long’s death, the remaining raiders scattered like cockroaches. Some jumped into vehicles, recklessly plowing through the zombie horde in an attempt to escape. Others simply ran blindly toward the trucks.
RATATATAT!
The tables had turned.
On Xu Jin and Shu Qin’s side, their troops showed no mercy, mowing down the retreating enemies with a hail of bullets.
Inside the heavy truck, the purple-haired woman saw the disaster unfolding. She panicked, scrambling into the driver’s seat, locking the doors, and fumbling to start the engine.
Lin Xian, the closest to her, saw her trying to escape and charged his hand with electricity, ready to finish her off—
"Captain Lin, fall back!"
Old Mo’s voice crackled through the radio.
"Huh?"
Lin Xian frowned, confused—until he turned his head and his face changed dramatically.
The missile launchers mounted on Iron Force Convoy’s trucks had lit up once again.
Without hesitation, Lin Xian bolted.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
Two missiles shot from the launchers, streaking straight toward the heavy truck.
"NO! PLEASE!"
The purple-haired woman’s pupils dilated in horror, her face turning ghostly pale as death loomed over her.
BOOM!!!
The explosion obliterated the truck's cabin, sending shockwaves rippling through the area. Even Lin Xian, though far enough away, felt the ground tremble beneath him.
When the smoke cleared—there was nothing left.
The woman was vaporized.
"Damn. That was brutal."
Lin Xian let out a relieved sigh, but before he could regroup, he saw Lu Xingchen sprinting past him in a panic.
"Where the hell are you going?!" Lin Xian grabbed his arm.
"MY CAR! MY CAR!!!"
Lu Xingchen was on the verge of a breakdown. Not only was his beloved RV gone, but his clothes had been burned off in battle. Now, standing half-naked in the freezing wind, he was shivering uncontrollably.
Lin Xian turned toward the street, squinting.
The RV had already disappeared, having turned several blocks away.
No way he could chase it on foot.
And from what Lin Xian had seen, Lu Xingchen definitely didn’t have flight abilities…
Elsewhere — Inside the Stolen RV
A chubby man gripped the steering wheel with a death grip, his foot slamming the gas pedal to the floor as he plowed through the zombie horde.
He glanced into the rearview mirror and saw the stockpile of supplies inside the RV.
His tense expression finally relaxed.
"Damn, that was close…"
Zhou Lei had barely escaped with his life.
Who could’ve expected those Black Crow bastards—who were so feared—to get completely wiped out by the train convoy?
"Sh*t, everyone in Yubei City is a damn monster… Good thing I got out in time!"
With an armored, modified RV and a fresh start, Zhou Lei could vanish and rebuild his life elsewhere. As long as he stayed far away from those lunatics, he’d be fine.
For once, he actually felt proud of his quick thinking.
He let out a deep breath, finally able to relax—
And then—
Darkness.
The light inside the driver’s cabin dimmed.
Zhou Lei froze, his heartbeat accelerating.
The street ahead was clear of obstacles—no buildings, no signs, no sudden storm.
Then why did it feel like something was blocking out the light?
Slowly, he looked up.
His pupils shrunk.
His face went deathly white.
Above the clouds and fog, a massive shadow loomed—
A monstrous, eldritch creature was descending upon him.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"
His scream echoed inside the RV.
Back at the Train Convoy
With the Black Crow Four annihilated, Lin Xian and the others rushed back to their vehicles.
Shu Qin’s voice came through the radio, filled with panic:
"We need to get out of here—there’s something in the sky!"
Above them, a colossal jellyfish-like creature emerged from the thick clouds.
Everyone in the convoy paled.
Compared to the one they had seen near Mount Daluo, this one was slightly smaller—but still enormous, larger than a skyscraper.
"All aboard! Start the train!" Lin Xian barked.
The zombie tide surged toward them. There was no time to gather loot—the Infinite Train roared to life, accelerating out of the battlefield.
The convoy followed close behind, engines roaring as they pushed through the undead.
"It’s getting dark—stay alert!" Xu Jin warned.
"There’s another one over there!" KIKI gasped.
To the left of the train, far in the city, another massive jellyfish emerged.
"F*! There’s more of them!"
In the rear convoy, Xu Jin, Shu Qin, and Old Mo’s survivors locked their doors, pure terror washing over them.
Inside buses and trucks, mothers clutched their children, covering their mouths to muffle their frightened whimpers.
The pressure was suffocating.
"Hurry up! Drive! DRIVE!"
The vehicles charged forward, crushing zombies under their wheels, desperately keeping pace with the train.
The barbed wire walls had been destroyed during the battle. Thousands of zombies spilled onto the railway, chasing after the convoy.
Inside the Train – Car No. 1
A shirtless young man sat in the corner, staring at the floor with dead eyes.
Lu Xingchen.
Since fleeing eastward, this was his greatest loss.
His home was gone.

Any normal person would be in shock after that.
In the driver’s cabin, Shasha hesitated before whispering to Lin Xian,
"Brother Lin… should we take him with us?"
Lin Xian turned to look at Lu Xingchen, who sat motionless, looking utterly defeated.
"Yeah. He’s got nowhere else to go. Find him some clothes."
At the freight terminal, Lu Xingchen had been lounging under a parasol, drinking tea. Now, he didn’t even look alive.
Yeah… this dude was having a rough day.
Lin Xian sighed and turned his attention to the sky.
He lifted the radio, his expression serious.
"Do NOT engage the jellyfish. We don’t know how many there are. We can’t afford a chain reaction."
"They’ve definitely noticed us." Shu Qin’s voice confirmed.
"Then we keep moving. No stopping."
"Stay together. No stragglers."
The train accelerated, the convoy gunning their engines to keep up.
But—
A deep, resonating hum suddenly echoed from above.
Like the blast of a massive cruise ship horn—
The sky jellyfish was descending upon them.
As it drew closer, Lin Xian and Chen Sixuan could see its massive, writhing tentacles swaying in the air.
"It’s coming!"
Chen Sixuan’s voice trembled.
Lin Xian tightened his grip on the radio.
"Everyone, prepare to fire! DO NOT let the tentacles touch you!"
WHOOOSH!
The Iron Force Convoy launched three missiles, hitting the jellyfish’s core tentacles—
BOOM! BOOM!
Its gigantic transparent body convulsed, several tentacles snapping off, falling toward the city.
SPLAT!
When they hit the ground—
A thick, white mist erupted.
Lin Xian’s eyes narrowed.
"Sh*t. Those things are poisonous."
