Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!-Chapter 259: Wake Up and Kill Newson!
Sean raised his hand, and more ghosts poured out from the Ghost Palace.
His voice was broken, full of struggle. "That’s all in the past. Now... I... must kill you..."
Far away, Philip was fighting Solomon.
Thanks to the enhanced flower, General Solomon’s fake light gates had increased to 128.
Standing in the center of the light gates, General Solomon kept making hand signs, controlling each gate’s opening and closing.
General Philip’s mecha moved through the light gates, and every time he got close, several gates opened at once, shooting out black energy beams.
Solomon’s voice came from all around. "It’s useless. The core of the fake light gates is space deception. What you see isn’t always real. What you dodge might appear behind you in a second."
Before he finished speaking, a black energy beam suddenly appeared behind Philip. He quickly moved to the side, but his left arm was still hit, leaving a deep crack.
Philip’s eyes lit up. "I found the pattern. Your light gates don’t attack all at once. They have a sequence. At most, eight gates open at the same time, with a 0.3-second interval between each."
With that, General Philip stopped dodging blindly and started calculating the attack rhythm of the light gates.
[Hayya·Bakaz] moved through the energy beams, avoiding the real attacks with perfect timing.
In the center of the battlefield, Logan was not involved in any of the fights.
To let The Death God of Love kill the five Shadow Generals, they had to be worn out first.
Then, Logan quickly took the five generals, and triggered the explosion of The Death God of Love.
So, Logan’s job wasn’t to help a general hold back the enemy. It was to be ready for Shadow’s sudden appearance at any time.
He had fought Shadow too many times to count. He knew for sure—Shadow was watching from the side, ready to jump into one of the Shadow Generals and strike Logan at any moment.
Thinking this, Logan just sat cross-legged. He placed his hands on the Yepera relic and the Black Dragon relic, and started studying quietly.
"Shadow, come out and fight me, or just watch me slowly heal and make new discoveries." Logan said, and then smiled. "I won’t let you get me angry!"
With that, Logan closed his eyes and immediately entered a meditative state.
The five generals were buying him time. He had to use every second to get himself into the best condition.
So, Logan sank his consciousness into the deep parts of the relics. He started analyzing the rune resonance, while secretly guiding the life energy inside the crystal to slowly heal his wounds.
Logan tried to guide his soul power and poured it into both relics.
His mental power split in two. One part carried pure will and was sent into the Yepera relic, while the other carried a strong desire to survive and was sent into the Black Dragon relic.
Light and darkness began to clash. Golden holy light tried to purify the dark shadows, while the dark energy tried to pollute the golden light.
The two forces fought fiercely at the point where the relics met. Each collision created a big energy wave.
These waves hit Logan’s body. His chest wound was disturbed, and his broken ribs sent sharp pain through him.
It felt like his inside was hit by a heavy hammer. His throat burned, and blood spilled from the corner of his mouth.
But he didn’t stop. He just guided the life energy to stabilize his injuries, then pushed more soul power through.
More light, more darkness, more intense fighting, more painful hits. Logan almost thought he would be torn apart by the power.
Then, he remembered what Monet had said.
"The essence of the Spirit Palace fighting style is resonance, not fighting."
That sentence flashed through his mind like lightning. He had been wrong. He had been wrong from the start.
How could two relics of a Demigod-level being be fused with brute force?
Their fight itself was a higher level of resonance.
Logan changed his approach. He stopped trying to control the two forces. He stopped trying to force them to merge.
He let his soul power flow naturally. He no longer separated light from dark, and didn’t try to control where it went.
It was like pouring two different colors of paint into the same container and gently shaking it, letting them mix on their own.
Something strange happened.
As soon as Logan let go of control, the energy from the Yepera relic and the Black Dragon relic started to move toward each other.
Light no longer tried to purify darkness, and darkness no longer tried to corrupt light.
They were like two old friends meeting again. They started to communicate in a way that Logan couldn’t understand.
Golden runes and black runes twisted in the air. Every touch created new changes. Every collision opened up new possibilities.
Logan’s consciousness sank into this strange resonance.
He forgot about his wounds. He forgot about the battlefield around him.
He just felt the conversation between light and dark, the cycle of creation and destruction.
Soon, the thirty-three star mark appeared naturally behind Logan.
It didn’t need to be forced. It didn’t need to be pushed. It just showed up, as if it had always been there.
Logan only needed to do one last thing—to put in enough energy to make the shadow real, and turn possibility into reality.
He took a deep breath, ready to use all his power to push forward, when something unexpected happened.
On the battlefield...
Five Shadow Generals suddenly stopped attacking and turned to look in the same direction—the deep part of Saint Heart City.
Then, Shadow’s voice echoed in everyone’s mind, cold and full of mockery: "Logan, do you really think I’d fall for your little trick?"
"The nuclear missile silos... have been under my control for a long time."
Upon hearing this, Logan immediately released his soul power and space sensing.
Sure enough, just a minute ago, a researcher who had been studying The Death God of Love had been influenced by Shadow, infected by Shadow Beings, and taken over. He had shut down all the access to The Death God of Love.
Now, that researcher had almost infected every elite human in the command room and control center of The Death God of Love.
The Death God of Love was paralyzed.
Behind this, the shadow puppet that had helped Shadow infect the first researcher was none other than Newson!
"Damn it, that guy has also betrayed us!" After realizing this, Logan’s face turned extremely dark.
He coldly looked at the five Shadow Generals in front of him and sneered: "Then let’s fight!"
At this moment, dark clouds covered the sky above Saint Heart City.
The internal breakdown of Shadow caused chaos among the Saint Heart City defenders.
The remaining strong warriors were caught off guard and struggled to deal with the attack. The front lines quickly started to fall back.
On the battlefield where Logan and his group were fighting, five separate fights exploded into a furious clash. The energy waves shattered the metal walls.
The five Federation generals fought desperately, their star marks dimmed but still holding the line.
"Darwin, how many nanorobots do you have left?"
General Monet asked, his twelve wings broken on three of them, with energy constantly leaking from the wounds. But his brows didn’t even twitch.
General Darwin stood on the shoulder of his broken mecha, his fingers sliding across the control panel as he replied: "What inventory? I just made them on the spot. It’s already good enough to use."
At that moment, Lomel unleashed a black flood, tearing through space. Nanoscale shadow energy units turned into a storm of sharp spears flying toward them.
Darwin’s pupils shrank. His nanorobot-built arms crossed in front of him, and an electromagnetic shield suddenly appeared in front of him.
Boom!
The shield exploded in sparks, and Darwin was sent flying backward. His nanorobot mecha rolled three times before stabilizing.
He looked down at his chest. The armor had cracks like a spiderweb, and there were no more nanorobots left to fix it.
"Twenty stars against thirty-five stars... too tough." Darwin wiped blood from his mouth, his eyes fierce. "But I survived in the East Region. I’m not afraid of your pressure!"
He clapped his hands together, activating all the remaining nanorobots. They turned into a silver flood rushing toward the black storm. Two microscopic powers collided in midair, tearing at each other wildly.
On the other side, General Dominic’s crystal shield was under heavy attack from General Xavier.
Each black crystal fist hit caused a tremor in space, and the cracks on the crystal spread quickly.
"Xavier, you used to hate using fists, didn’t you?" Dominic gritted his teeth, holding on. "You said a real strong person should use wisdom and tactics!"
As soon as he said that, the black fist suddenly stopped.
For a brief moment, General Xavier’s eyes showed a flash of clarity, and his lips trembled slightly.
But in the next second, even darker shadows poured out. The fist came down again.
Boom!
The crystal shield exploded, and General Dominic was spitting blood, flying backward.
General Xavier stepped forward to chase, his right fist full of destructive energy. But just before it hit Dominic’s head, the fist slightly changed direction.
It passed by Dominic’s ear, creating a crater over a hundred meters wide.
"What was that?" General Dominic rolled when he landed, staring at General Xavier with a fierce look. "You, can you still hear me?"
General Xavier didn’t answer. His body was shaking violently.
Black crystal surfaces kept showing and disappearing human face outlines. The last images of the dead fought fiercely against the Shadow Beings.
The same struggle happened on every battlefield. General Sean’s Ghost Palace twisted into a black fortress covered in spikes. Countless shadow spirits poured out, but just before they could swallow Claude’s Spirit Palace, their attack paths suddenly changed. The ghosts roared and crashed into each other.
"Sean!" Claude stood on the top of his Spirit Palace, his voice hoarse. "I know you’re still in there! Wake up!"
In the center of the Ghost Palace, a pair of red eyes flickered wildly.
Sean’s voice came in broken pieces: "Claude! Hurry... kill me... while I can still control myself..."
"Shut up!" Claude roared.
All the heroes in the Spirit Palace resonated together. Holy light turned into chains that wrapped around the Ghost Palace. "I promised your wife I’d bring you back alive!"
"You bastard... again..." Sean’s voice was full of endless pain. "My wife is almost a hundred years old. Can you really do it?"
