Almighty Father System-Chapter 421: Daddy’s Padded Jacket.

Lily bolted from the room, and Snow said, "This ends here, as for the final report, you wait for Leo to return to the city."

The two people nodded and the connection was terminated. They didn't know why but the seemingly gentle Snow didn't seem very gentle at the moment. She turned around after turning the computer off, and headed to the room, where she found Lily to be massaging Leo's hands. The man looked like he was in great pain, and he looked at Snow with a pleading gaze.

Lily was worried about him, she wanted to ask him many things but since she could not bring herself to say anything without losing her composure, she just began to massage his hands.

Snow looked at the two of them, one was worried that her father was in pain and the other was worried that his daughter was emotionally suffering and so he forgot his own pain. She was moved by the bond that these two shared, but she sighed and couldn't help but say, "Can you two think about me as well? I mean, while you are worried about each other, I am worried about both of you."

Leo and Lily froze for a second and then Lily walked up to Snow and led her to sit down on the side of the bed, before she said, "I am sorry, Ma, I thought you were stronger than me."

Snow raised her brow and said, "Why does it feel like that you guys were doing better when you were not worried about my well being?"

Leo smiled and replied, "I know that you worry about us, I will make it up to you when I get up tomorrow."

Snow shook her head and said, "I am not worried about that. It's just you two make me feel left out."

Leo and Lily coaxed Snow, who was doing her best to make them both think of something apart from the emotional grief they were going through. After she finished diverting their attention, Snow said, "I will get you something to eat."

Leo blinked and Snow left the room, before Lily looked at him and asked, "Baba, what is going on? Why did this happen again?"

Leo smiled bitterly and replied, "I have been neglecting the twins ever since we came to the capital and so, this is the divine punishment. Not to worry, I will get fine by tomorrow."

Lily rolled her eyes at him and then said, "That is some fantasy you are using to divert my mind. Anyhow, I believe you that you will wake up in the morning tomorrow. So, something big happened?"

Leo raised his brow and asked, "What happened?"

Lily replied, "A couple of things, one is that the Princess gained a lot of favor from the Royalty now, and they are even thinking of grooming her as a prime minister, but the Duchess has opposed the idea saying that the Princess will take the path that she wishes to."

Leo nodded and replied, "It is indeed a good thing."

Lily nodded and said, "The second thing is Alpha and Uncle Markus organized a team to handle the archive raid for the Morning Star Tower. I proxied you, and the raid was conducted successfully."

Leo was surprised but not shocked, he asked, "What about the casualties?"

Lily shook her head and said, "None on our side, though the other side is done for completely."

Leo was surprised and Lily went on to describe the details of the entire thing as Leo hummed repeatedly. After Lily was done, Leo said, "It is fine that you indulged in these matters this time, but not from the next time. You are too young to be a part of such things."

Lily frowned but then she nodded and replied in a soft tone, "Fine."

She lay down on his chest and said, "Baba do I feel heavy?"

Leo replied, "No, love, you are Baba's padded jacket, how can you be heavy?"

The two of them were making sure that their actions don't cause trouble for the other guy. Lily was wondering if her weight on his chest would cause him pain, and he was calling her light as cotton to cover up the fact that his body was numb and stiff, he could not feel anything that was happening.

After a few minutes, Snow came inside with a tray in her hands, she had a bowl in the tray, and said, "Lily, get up, let Baba have his soup."

Leo was worried that he would not be able to open his mouth and asked, 'System, would I be able to use my mouth to eat?'

'Ping: Yes, host, since you can move your mouth to speak, it is enough for you to open your mouth and swallow the food, but beyond that, everything is restricted for the next twenty one hours.'

Leo sighed and said, 'Thank you for the chance to preserve my dignity.'

The system didn't bother to reply to him, because it was not actually being too harsh or gentle. Leo did ignore the twins once he came to the capital with the royal engagement and children at the age of the twins needed much attention. Thus, he gave them the chance to feel ignored and ended up here.

Lily got up from Leo's chest and then she said, "Ma, why don't you help Baba up? I will stuff some pillows behind him so that he can sit, how is he going to eat while laying down?"

Snow nodded before she placed the tray on the side table, and then used some effort to lift Leo, before Lily picked up the pillows and began to shove them behind Leo. She stuffed four pillows before Snow let Leo lean back slightly. The young man was now reclining, Snow picked up the tray and Lily picked up the napkin on the tray, ready to wipe anything that dripped out of the spoon and on his face.

Snow picked up a spoonful of soup and she blew on it gently before she reached out to feed Leo when Anastasia came in and said, "Jules woke up."

Snow sighed and asked, "Does he need me?"

Anastasia nodded and replied, "He seems to be hungry. I tried to calm him down but the little one is kicking up a fuss and he will wake up Elle as well."

Snow sighed and looked at Leo, who smiled and said, "You should go and get to him. I am fine."

Lily said, "Ma, don't worry, I can feed Baba, he has been feeding me all this time so it is only right I return the treatment to him. I promise I will be gentle and make sure that the soup is not hot."

Snow sighed and said, "I was about to tell your Grandmother to handle this."

Before Lily could say anything Elena began to cry outside the room. Anastasia had taken the kids out thinking that if they woke up, they would cause Leo to wake up as well. Lily said, "Grandma, you are needed somewhere else."

The old lady smiled and said, "You little goblin, just want to spend time with your Baba."

Lily giggled and Snow placed the tray before her on the bed and said, "Be careful not to spill this and burn yourself. It is piping hot, okay?"

Lily nodded and saluted her before she said, "Yes, Your Majesty."

Snow pinched her little nose and remarked jokingly, "Naughty goblin."

Then she left the room with Anastasia, and Lily eagerly picked up the spoon, but Leo reminded her, "Careful."

The little girl calmed down, and gently brought the spoon close to herself and blew on it before moving it to Leo's mouth. The young man opened his mouth and Lily placed the spoon on his lower lip and Leo drank a spoonful. Lily watched him gulp down the content and only when she determined that he doesn't have any trouble with it, she began to feed him the second spoon.

Leo was observing her expression and couldn't help but recall his mother. As he was drinking the soup a faint smile appeared on his lips and Lily asked, "Baba, what happened? Why are you smiling?"

Leo replied, "Nothing, I just recalled your Grandma."

Lily took a deep breath and replied, "How so?"

Leo replied, "When I was in high school, I had a football tournament. As we were playing, it started raining. After the game, we were getting crazy for the celebration and by the time I got home, I had a high fever, Ma gave my Dad an earful before she got busy with me. Haha, dad was so scared of her at times like that.

Then she fed me warm chicken soup and I remember that she was just as cautious while feeding me as you are, though she scolded me every few spoons but it was that warmth of hers that made me feel better."

Lily smiled, and she continued feeding him the soup. For some reason, Leo felt that his eyes were getting blurry and he realized that this memory had triggered his longing for his mother and father. He sighed and finished the bowl before he said, "Lily, I will close my eyes, I feel kind of tired."

Lily nodded and said, "I will be back after placing these back in the kitchen."

Leo hummed and closed his eyes, before Lily left the room as he leaned back in the pillows. Lily could sense that he was upset but this was something that had no solution. He had to overcome this feeling by himself, because she didn't know how to help him. However, after some thinking, she went back and leaned onto his arm and hugged him. Leo opened his eyes and asked, "Are you okay?"

Lily nodded and said, "I am okay, just missed you, I will be here. Tell me if you need anything, okay, Baba?"

Leo smiled and hummed, before closing his eyes again, as he thought, 'She really is a blessing, can you see her, Ma?'
