Chapter 91: Chapter 90: Their House at the Ninth Army Base

Ryzel’s steps echoed softly against the metal floors of the spaceship as they navigated through its corridors.

Layton Lewis’s explanations about the ninth army base flowed steadily, punctuated by the occasional sound of passing soldiers.

Each detail painted a clearer picture in Ryzel’s mind, from the layout of the base to the responsibilities of its personnel.

Eventually, they reached the entrance of the ship, where Mervin was engaged in instructing some soldiers near the gate. Mervin’s energetic greeting greeted them as they approached.

He should be leaving instructions to the soldiers that would remain in the spaceship as most of them would disembark.

"Lewis, Ryzel, let’s not waste any time. I’ve already instructed the vice generals to assemble everyone at the platform below," Mervin exclaimed, while looking at them.

"Ryzel remember to always pay attention to your mental power output. With the numbers of soldiers here, it would be extremely dangerous to lose control of your power output," Layton Lewis reminded again.

Ryzel nodded in acknowledgment, absorbing Layton Lewis’s reminder about controlling his mental power output.

With the number of soldiers receiving his mental power if he didn’t control his mental power output, his mental power would immediately scatter and absorbed by others.

His mental power could be depleted immediately, which would be bad as it could indeed affect him greatly because of his low physique level.

Layton Lewis accompanied Ryzel down at the platform overlooking thousands of soldiers who were all lined up properly.

Descending to the platform below, Ryzel was struck by the sight of thousands of soldiers standing in formation.

Despite their fatigue and the lingering effects of mental pollution, they stood with unwavering resolve, a testament to their dedication to duty.

Ryzel’s admiration swelled as he observed their discipline, noting the careful arrangement of those most in need of guidance at the forefront.

He could see that they arrange all the soldiers with more serious condition at the front as the nearer a person is to the one performing a group guiding the better.

Looking at their bad condition Ryzel didn’t dawdle any longer.

With a deep breath, Ryzel retrieved his flute, its familiar weight reassuring in his hands. As he began to play, a soothing melody filled the air, infused with his mental power.

Ryzel could feel the strain on his mental power near the end of the song but he persisted until the end.

At the end of the song Ryzel’s mental power was thoroughly consumed but at least he managed to control it until the end of the song.

As soon as he finished playing the song he opened his eyes and looked around to see if her group guiding was successful.

When he saw the more relaxed look of the soldiers, he was relieved. With the number of soldiers present he was not sure if he could give guidance to all of them. However, seeing their looks it seems that it was effective.

Group guiding is just a means to temporarily guide them as it can’t guide them deeply so for those that have severe mental pollution, they need more guidance afterwards but at least they would have more time before other guides could guide them.

Ryzel still hadn’t seen enough but he was distracted as soon as Layton Lewis spoke.

"Are you alright?" Layton Lewis asked with concern evident in his tone.

"Yes, aside from my mental power being drained. I don’t have any problems. I just need to rest again afterwards," Ryzel assured him of his well-being, with a small smile on his lips.

He can’t take any replenishing potion any longer as he already used it once, so he just needs to wait for his mental power to recover.

Even though he was tired at least he still helped a lot of soldiers.

"That’s good. Then, let’s go to our residence first."

"Are you done with your work? If not, you could just ask others to guide me," Ryzel said.

He knew that Layton Lewis still had a lot of things to do so he didn’t want to bother him.

"I already finished all the things that needed immediate attention. I could just do the rest tomorrow besides Merin and the others would also be there to do some paper works."

"So, you’re free for the rest of the day?"

"Yes."

"That’s nice. Then, let’s go to our residence now," Ryzel said with a slight smile.

"Ok," Ryzel said.

With Layton Lewis’s guidance, they made their way to their aircraft ready to go to their residence within the base, leaving behind the platform and its sea of soldiers.

While their aircraft was automatically driving, Ryzel was asking different questions to Layton Lewis.

"How is your house here in the base?"

"It’s just the same as our house at the central star."

"Really? Even the interior design?" Ryzel asked.

"Yes, as they were designed with the same person so most of the designs were the same."

"Then, I should be renovating it again afterwards if it is truly the same as our house in the capital star," Ryzel said.

The previous design was good, but it was too monotonous so if the design was the same Ryzel would renovate it again for a more comfortable design.

"You can do whatever you want with it," Layton Lewis said with a smile.

"Then you should accompany me to the mall here later on. We should go buy the things we need personally. It could also help me familiarize myself with the other places in the ninth army base."

He would be staying in the ninth army base for a long time so it would be better to be familiar with the area as soon as possible. Shopping for the things they needed would act as their excuse for a tour.

Well, buying things was really okay.

"By the way, we are also neighbors with Mervin so you shouldn’t be surprised if he suddenly knocked wanting to it something for free or just wanting to talk to someone," Layton Lewis added.

With the personality of Mervin, Ryzel could indeed imagine him doing so.

"Don’t worry I don’t mind."

Mervin’s bright personality is infectious, so it is actually good to be visited by him occasionally.

Engrossed in conversation, they reached their residence, a sense of familiarity washing over Ryzel as they stepped inside.

"The design is really the same as the design of our house in the capital star," Ryzel exclaimed as he looked around.

The interior bore a striking resemblance to their home at the central star before his renovation, from the layout of the rooms to the décor adorning the walls.

With a contented sigh, Ryzel sank into a nearby sofa, grateful for the chance to rest and rejuvenate his mental power.

As they already arrived at their own house, Ryzel could finally rest comfortably. He already slept for nearly five hours before doing group guidance, so he wasn’t feeling sleepy.

Layton Lewis also sat down on the sofa to accompany him.

He planned to rest while browsing his light brain as he can’t sleep any longer.

Ryzel brought out his light brain and started looking at different articles and posts that were currently trending.

Ryzel looked at the trending topics online and saw that their names were still on the trending list with different topics on it.

Some are still talking about their compatibility; some are talking about what happened in their wedding ceremony and the most talked about is about how they rushed to the battlefield on the night of their wedding day.

Ryzel already knows what the citizens were saying about their compatibility and their wedding ceremony, but he still doesn’t know what they were saying about the night of their wedding day.

In the past few days, he was busy making potions and watching the battlefield, so he didn’t bother checking his light brain for the different gossips about them.

Looking at the different trending articles and forums, Ryzel read all of it and also looked at the comments to know what the citizens area talking about.

[Oh, general Lewis is kind of pitiful!]

[An urgent battle report? Why are the Zergs bothering at this time now, disturbing the relationship of my male god!]

[I wonder if the battle is already over. I hope everything is going to be okay!]

[Abominable zergs! why are they disturbing the love life of my idol?!]

[I wonder how General Lewis feel, being summoned to the battlefield in the day he should be enjoying his wife.]

[General Lewis should be furious. Hahaha! I pity the zergs a little bit.]

[I wonder if General Lewis would have a problem later on because of being stopped urgently, ha ha ha!!]

[If General Lewis would have a problem in that area because of the sudden attack of the Zergs. I will curse the zergs everyday!]

Upon seeing the latest comment, Ryzel laughed a little.

"What are you laughing about?" Layton Lewis asked while looking at Ryzel.

"Ha ha ha," Ryzel still laughed.
